This was a perfect place to celebrate my mother-in-law with the family. Our family would like to come back again and have the opportunity to stay longer and have more family members join us. An ideal location in a town where our family has had roots for over 90 years. The elders who were present felt at home and the combination of camping and small cabins, the outdoor kitchen, and the fire ring was the absolute perfect combination for a good time. Thank you very much.

Beautiful home and view! Perfect place to explore the redwoods from. Hot tub to relax with after a day of hiking and Sonos music through the whole house was super nice too👌

We thoroughly enjoyed our time there! The home is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and truly one of a kind. The area is stunning and the neighborhood is peaceful and close to everything we wanted to do in the area. The host provided several lists full of things to do with detailed information, which we found extremely helpful. We’d love to go back one day and stay longer! One thing I’d definitely do differently the next time I visit is bring groceries with us. The grocery store nearby is limited, which is to be expected for an area like this. You won’t regret staying at this home!

my husband and I came for our 13th wedding anniversary for some beach camping.we loved every minute of it! Even though we were rained out of our tent, we had the weather insurance policy, Wendy And John made sure we were comfortable and taken care of! diffently coming back, hopefully during a less rainy season !

Jennifer and her sweet family were so helpful and made sure we would enjoy our stay. We had a peaceful restful evening. And it was so close to the Avenue of the Giants. Great people and very friendly!

We had such a great time at this Shelter Cove Airbnb. The huge deck with a fire pit was an amazing spot to unwind and enjoy the ocean views and sunset. The yard was big and perfect for our dogs to run around and although it isn’t fenced in it was still a nice place to play. The backyard off the master was fenced in and had a nice little jet tub which was great for 1 or 2 people to sit intimately together. Inside there were plenty of spots to relax and the big dining table made it easy for us to enjoy meals together. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook which was really convenient. Plus the beach was just a short walk away so it was easy to enjoy the coast whenever we wanted. Overall this place had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Looking forward to visiting again! Sara was really cool & hospitable, made sure I got to meet the ducks & geese on the property! She also offered to take us hiking around the property, which we unfortunately didn’t make time for this trip but absolutely plan to do the next time! The cottage was cozy & had good amenities, the area is very peaceful & quiet. Beautiful to sit & look at the stars. It was a great to escape the city & like I said we plan on coming back to escape the heat in the summer months. Thank you Sara!!

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful craftsman style home. The location was perfect and within a 5 minute walk to the very charming business district in Ferndale with great eateries and amazing local stores. The house was very well maintained and had everything you could possibly need, including a Keurig coffee maker with various pods with creamer in the refrigerator and a spice rack with any spice you could need. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow and having a TV in the living room and each bedroom allowed all of us to watch exactly what we wanted. There were extra blankets in each bedroom and the beds were very comfortable. I often have trouble sleeping while traveling and slept like a baby. A must is having lunch or dinner at Tuyas...the food was fantastic, Heart & Soul for baked goods and the Farmer's Daughter for ice cream & gifts. The host, Denise, was very responsive and I would HIGHLY recommend this rental if you plan on visiting Ferndale.

My experience definitely exceeded expectations! Excellent kitchen with all of the cooking amenities I needed (including an outdoor propane grill)! Marcedes was very responsive to all of my questions before and after check-in, she was very friendly and set up the grill for us before we arrived. The home itself is beautiful and cozy (there were even some toys and books for my toddler!). My only flag is that there is no wifi. This was fine for us because the cell service is good in the area, but may be a challenge for those planning to use wifi. I would definitely stay here again!
