Laurence and Jorge’s home provided a peaceful and beautiful escape in the Douro valley! The surrounding village is small and quaint with lovely views around every corner. The roads are winding, skinny and steep - no different from any other small town or city in Portugal. The home was impeccably clean, the Murphy bed surprisingly comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. A fantastic spot!

Such a wonderful place and wonderful hosts! It’s remote, too far normally to walk to town, but our hosts did a great job of supplying us with breakfast food and wine, so we were never without the important things. La verdad, es que solo se trataba de una escapada de fin de semana con mi pareja y la familia. La recomendación que nos hizo Fernando del restauran fue muy buena, próxima a la vivienda. Fue fácil aparcar, dimos un paseo por la zona, mucha tranquilidad y lo pasamos fenomenal.

what a sublime place. it was perfect. the location is outstanding, the people are great. the views are incredible. our time here was the icing on the cake for our portugal trip. we would hope to come back.

Ana’s apartment was super clean, very comfortable bed and easy walking distance to cafes and restaurants. Recently remodeling was tastefully done.

Helga and Mario have a beautiful clean place with incredible views of the Douro River Valley. We had great instructions to get to the home and how to get in with a keyless code. It was raining and cold so we were soaked getting the gate open and getting suitcases inside. There’s a fireplace in the living area and I asked Helga if we could get firewood and within minutes someone arrived with wood and he even built us a fire. When I made my reservation, I mentioned that I needed a haircut/ pedicure and Helga made me an appointment with Sonia in the next village of Tabuaço for the day after we arrived, that was wonderful service and kind of her. I was very pleased. Helga gave very good information on things to do in the area and places to eat. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have had while traveling. Everything was clean and as stated in the listing. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs if that is an issue but we were told this before we booked. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Ana was a great host. She was kind, caring and so sweet! We had some issues with the heat when we first got there, but she was very responsive and helpful. Location was great, as we visited a family member just a 4 minute walk away. Parking was available. Cute place! We stayed for just under a week. Will stay again in the future! Thank you for everything, Ana!

Andre's place is in a great location in the Douro Valley. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

We were a group of 3. We travel a lot and we really appreciated all of the thoughtful touches at Ana's place! We drove from Porto and arrived early and Ana was very flexible about allowing us to leave our bags earlier than the check in time. Of the Airbnbs in Portugal, this was our favorite. Do not expect modern decorations but you can count on many comforts that other Airbnbs do not have. Not only is fresh bread delivered each morning but Ana also stocked her kitchen with fresh fruit, milk, juice, sugar, honey, jams, plenty of coffee pods, and she stocked the refrigerator with cheese, eggs, beer, a bottle of wine. The place is very spacious and could have comfortably accommodated more than 3 people. There are cosy bathrobes in the closets, an extra blanket, slippers and plenty of outlets in the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony is so lovely and peaceful. If you come to Pinhao, I highly recommend Ana's place!

Excelente ubicación para visitar Chaves sin estar en la ciudad, se llega fácil y se puede acceder a toda la comarca. El alojamiento es cómodo y limpio, tiene de todo, está muy bien la cocina, la cama cómoda y mucho espacio de almacenamiento. Es un alojamiento moderno, tienes espacio para aparcar el coche dentro del recinto y un jardín y patio precioso. Lo recomiendo para visitas culturales por la zona o para hacer rutas de senderismo, naturaleza y arqueología que hay mucho por la zona. Se puede llegar a Chaves en 5 minutos. Lo recomiendo.
