I simple but comfortable little apartment in the basement of a home. Very little noise from the upstairs residents. It was a very nice and comfortable stay for the price.

5 stars all around. This place is a gem! We spent the weekend here for my wife's birthday, and both absolutely loved it. We always wanted to stay at a place like this but was hesitant... if you are on the fence... book it! 100% worth it!

Exactly as described. Peaceful, great view, spacious. Lots of amenities…coffee, comfortable. Easy to get to Katy trail and Columbia, but nicely secluded. We’re likely to visit again.

we had 12 guests and a dog, beds for all, some complained about beds, mine was fine, was dirty when we got there, they came immediately and cleaned, walking distance to stores, restaurants, would stay again!

We've stayed at this spot a few times. It's always a relaxing getaway. Peaceful surroundings and beautiful location. Love the sauna!

The house was fantastic and the perfect place to stay on our third night on the Katy. The house was immaculately clean and incredibly welcoming. Paige was a super communicative host, answered all the questions I had prior to the stay, and gave great instructions on the day we were arriving. The garage provided the perfect place to store our bikes. It's directly connected to the basement living area, and this allowed us a great space to unload our bags, unpack, and repack for the next day. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and make coffee or tea. I really appreciated the instructions provided for how to use the coffee appliances. We were exhausted the day we got in and ended up ordering pizza from West Main Pizza (would recommend, great thin crust pizza), but there are plenty of diverse dining options around. We loved riding over the bridge and I would encourage anyone riding the Katy to take the trip into Jefferson City. Would absolutely stay here again.

I've stayed here numerous times while traveling on the Katy Trail and I feel lucky to have this gem in such a small town. It's just 10 miles from Jefferson City but saves so much time and mileage not having to travel across the bridge into the big city. Very responsive and friendly hosts and each time they've worked with my crazy "race" schedule and having to carry everything in my cart with me. The personability and attention to detail is a game changer.

This was our second stay at Amanda's Kit Carson's Cottage and, like our first visit, it was everything we expected and more! It's a perfect location to restaurants and the trail and Amanda was an exemplary host. We'll be back!

This place is incredible! Its about 10 minutes off I70, easy to get to, and such a peaceful property. Allen was responsive with questions and very friendly. The space is one of our favorite Airbnb’s we've been to! We love it so much, we've already booked it for our way back through!
