Truly a beautiful spot on the lake ! We loved our stay here. The views were amazing. The hosts were amazing communicators !

Jenifer was very accommodating. We had sone delays getting in . However, she allowed our adult daughter to check in and get settled. We had 10 people who had plenty of room . There are 2 separate buildings so you can spread out . Also, a beautiful courtyard in between the two buildings. There is a beautiful view of the Church ( especially at night) . I would suggest parking on the street. The road is very steep. The cars were safe on the street. Thank you again Jenifer for your hospitality.

Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. Host is very accommodating and responsive. Only drawback is that there are no public boats in or out of this town so it can be difficult to get to

Michael’s casa is truly a large and beautiful home, tastefully decorated and full of art and collectables. The seating areas were comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need for a long-term stay. The most amazing part was the stellar view from the upper balcony. What a beautiful place for morning coffee and afternoon reading. The house is located in the middle of Jaibalito. This offers a unique opportunity to experience village life with all its sounds and character.

I’ve been coming to Guatemala since I was a child, as my family is from here. But in all the years that we’ve been coming, this has been the best experience we’ve had. The home was clean, beautiful, tranquil, and spacious. Our host, Maria, was so amazing and very informative. Yohanna the housekeeper was also amazing! I will be sure to book this home again for when I come back to Guatemala!

Our stay at Casa Eggedal was a wonderful, peaceful retreat. The surroundings are extraordinarily beautiful, with gorgeous gardens. The house is well designed for enjoying the scenery and for relaxing. The kitchen has more dishes and cooking pots/pans than I have at home. Deedle was very responsive and friendly. We loved relaxing in the pool and exploring the areas around the lake. As noted in other reviews, there are LOTS of stairs on the property, so be sure you’re up for that. We loved it and would definitely recommend a stay.

Es un lugar hermoso para visitar con familia o amigos. El lugar es muy agradable, justo como las fotografías y es muy cómodo, no dudamos en recomendarlo! Está en una buena ubicación y tiene acceso a piscina compartida que se mantiene a buena temperatura. Fue una excelente estadía y sin duda regresaremos!

Excelente ubicación cerca de las principales atracciones, se puede llegar caminando a la calle Santander y al embarcadero, cerca de restaurantes. El lugar es precioso y en un lugar seguro. La casa muy limpia y ordenada, equipada con todo lo necesario (utensilios de cocina, toallas de baño y piscina). La jardinizacion preciosa, la piscina y jacuzzi limpios, se comparte con las otras 3 villas. La comunicación muy rápida y la atención de Pedro muy amable. Un lugar familiar para descansar. Totalmente recomendado.

We loved Casa Julia for it's peaceful and natural beauty. This place is gorgeous and feels very private and out of the tourist area of San Marcos. The house is spacious and the views of lake Atitlan and San Pedro Volcano are spectacular. It's a great place to just hang out and relax. Markus was present to give us the initial tour and made us feel at home. He was available for any of our questions but gave us our privacy. The house is up on a hillside just outside of San Marcos town and it is a short walk of about one half mile to town. The steps are long and it is a ways up to the house and that is what gives it its privacy and remote feeling. This house is not for the older people who cannot climb stairs easily and it is not for young children as there is a fair bit of fall risk from the front yard/patio. We highly recommend Casa Julia and hope to be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful & ecological retreat! The view of Lake Atitlan was lovely and the docks at the bottom allowed a nice place to jump off into water! The hot-tub nestled into a nature ambiance was also an appreciated amenity! We would recommend this accommodation if you are looking for some peace & serenity.

The place is private, beautiful, and true to its description. We were able to go swimming in the lake, kayaking, and explore the local area. There were people on the property that help with basic needs. They’re really nice. Only drawback are the stairs that you have to get through. If you want to explore the town or towns nearby. Not a dealbreaker. Would definitely stay again.

I had an amazing stay at this wonderful place! The surroundings were absolutely beautiful, and the view was so peaceful—perfect for relaxation. The host was incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. I will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!
