Just wow! Mark made us feel so welcome and both huts were absolutely incredible. From the fairy lights to the wood stove; the welcome bottle of wine, biscuits and great coffee this far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended and we look forward to our next stay.

A truly beautiful cabin set in peaceful surroundings. The cabin has everything you need. I stayed for a wedding locally and it was the perfect location and provided everything I needed. Would highly recommend and would love to go back to explore the hikes around the area. Carol and George are wonderful hosts and very helpful.

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

The second time I have stayed at Richard’s beautiful hut. Such a peaceful location and lots of lovely places to visit nearby. The hut is well thought out and comfortable. Secure garden for my dog and fantastic hot tub!

We loved our stay on the shepherds hut, which looked and felt new, and was beautifully finished. Fantastic location, great for local walks (we walked to The Open Ditch pub) and amazing views from the bed & seating area. Very accommodating hosts, super helpful and responsive. We’d definitely consider staying again! Would recommend. Thank you so much!!

Emily’s place was an ideal getaway, secluded, clean, peaceful the perfect place to unwind for a few days, the hot tub made it extra special, all communication with Emily was excellent, would definitely recommend, will definitely be returning, thank you Emily.

Super stay at Cotswold Hut! The perfect little bolthole, in a beautiful and restful setting with far reaching views. And sheep and a few llamas for neighbours! The hut was so cosy, warm and clean with all you need for creature comforts. Lovely touch with bread, butter, jams, milk; mini toiletries; even champagne glasses! Plenty of starter firewood for the woodburner- heats the hut up quickly. Hut was already warm from a heater on arrival on a cold and rainy evening 🙏 Tom was so helpful and responsive through the booking process, with easy directions to follow. Available on phone if needed but didn’t need to. Thanks Tom! Too short a trip. Can’t wait to return. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Rita and David’s shepherds hut. The hut was very easy to find and in such a peaceful pretty little village. David came to greet us and give us some info for the heating and hot water which was really helpful and the welcome guide was also really useful. We had dinner at the Royal Oak which was delicious and they were so friendly in there! We also noted how quiet and peaceful it was as we walked back, so lovely to be away from the constant cars and general noise of a city. We would definitely return to Rita and David’s place, great value for money and a lovely find!

Wow what a special place. Dreamy hot tub and outdoor fire. The hut is decorated like a luxury hotel, lots of small special touches - fire wood to make a fire; board games to play, bath robes and slippers. We had the truly magical two nights away - perfect for some romantic time. We nipped into Wells on Saturday for the market (bus/car less than 10 mins) picked up lots of treats then enjoyed a lazy Saturday evening back at the hut under the stars. Lou was fantastic host, she helped set up the hut for my girlfriend’s birthday before we arrived which was incredibly kind and much appreciated.

Claire was the most amazing host from start to finish, all the beautiful touches in the shepherds hut were just so well designed and thought out, including a lovely bottle of fizz. The hot tub was all lit and ready for us to get in as soon as we arrived., we visited a couple of the local pubs which were absolutely delightful serving beautiful food. I totally recommend the Plough and the Hood inn, both only a couple of minutes away. The location of the Shepherds hut was just perfect far enough out of the way it was so peaceful and quiet but close enough to only be 20 minutes away from the M5. We have recommended this to a few of our friends and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for making the stay so perfect.

Amazing stay, hut was clean, comfortable and cosy. Very peaceful surroundings with the bonus of the hot tub and fire outside. John and Hannah were very good hosts and provided us with all the information we needed. We will be coming back 10/10. Thank you both for an amazing stay!

Wonderful serene location, absolutely recommend. Just watch out on the tub - it took us over 12 hours to heat when air temp was between 0->10 deg, but it was so worth it.

We really loved our stay at the shepards hut it was lovely and cosy, it had everything we needed. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely be back.

A tranquil location with beautiful sunsets in a meadow. Feels away from it all but close enough to all the activities of the Forest of Dean. Cosy cabin with everything you need.

You can clearly tell a lot of work has gone into creating this set up and it works so well. It’s peaceful, slow and just genuinely enjoyable to be at, clearly a lot has gone into creating this space. Lovely place for a quiet getaway in the countryside. Beautiful views from the hut, watched the sunset twice. Hut has everything you need for a cosy stay and the local area has some great walks and great food.

Wow...just WOW! This place is a little slice of heaven. Amazing location. So peaceful. The hut had everything you needed. Super comfy and cozy. Sian and Jack are just the best hosts. They gave us everything we needed to make out stay ideal. Friendly, welcoming and informative re all the bits and bobs in the local area. Make sure you do the Bryn Arw and Sugar Loaf circular and stop at the Crown for a well earned pint or too.

Had a long weekend away for my partners birthday and it was everything we wanted and more! Graham was an excellent host, making sure we were able to contact him at any point and gave loads of helpful information about the area. The carriage was in a beautiful location that was so peaceful and quiet and a lovely little place to come and recharge. Was close to Abergavenny so could pop in if we needed anything, and a perfect location to get some great hikes and views in! Will absolutely be coming back to stay ☺️
