Beautiful cottage and beautiful location. Especially enjoyed sitting out on the balcony enjoying the stunning view!

A lovely place, exactly as described and as per the photos. Clive gave us a great welcome with lots of information and ideas for things to do. No oven but 4 ring electric hob, microwave, kettle, dishwasher plus plenty of cookware. Toiletries, soap, plenty of fluffy towels, firewood. Binoculars available for birdwatching! Google maps takes you straight to the door. Would love to return!

Katy’s place was charming and cosy. We requested breakfast items as well and the food was delicious and wholesome. The kitchen was well-equipped and the beds were very comfy. It made for an easy base for walks, a trip to Hay-on-Wye and chilled reading/relaxing. Would love to return!

We visited October 2025 & will always stay when we want to come to the area. Fabulous accommodation in a wonderful area. Pristine & looks the same as photos. We had a great time & look forward to returning again soon. Emma is a wonderful host.

Gorgeous house and lovely location. Drive is tight but we have a big car and managed it absolutely fine. We had a lovely relaxing weekend there, we did some walks directly from the house and relaxed in front of the fire, which was exactly what we went to do! House was exactly as described and felt huge! The living room was very cosy, and it was great having the two log burners, and all bedrooms were very comfortable.

Lovely cottage just a short walk to great shops and pubs. Cottage is wonderfully equipped, clean, and very homely.

Kevin is a very proactive and responsive host. The property is in a great location for a relaxing weekend and good for dog walks with the lakeside at your doorstep. The view from the hot tub is great and is really peaceful. The property was clean and had everything that you need within it. Getting up to the property from where you park is steep with quite a few steps so it can be difficult with your belongings so I would take that into account if you are older or unfit.

We had a lovely weekend getaway here. Everything was clean and tidy, the hot tub was nice. It's a very remote location but easy to find. We had a visit from a very friendly cat a few times a day, and there are sheep in the surrounding fields. Great for animal lovers 😊

We spent 2 nights at Sugarloaf cottage as we wanted to get some walking done in the Brecon Beacons. Alison was friendly from the start and made us feel at ease and our dog was made to feel very welcome too. The cottage looks exactly like the photos and was super clean. The views from the hot tub were fantastic. Alison gave us some great recommendations for places to eat and places to visit. Overall a fantastic couple of nights spent at Sugarloaf and if we are ever back this way, we’d opt to stay again. Thank you Alison 😄
