Monteverde : locations de vacances dans des cottages

Tranquille, entre 30 et 50 min des activités (Arenal, eaux chaudes, tours de paresseux, nuits, etc.). Lespace exterieur faisait notre bonheur de jour comme de soir, bien à l'abri de la pluie. Jorge, le voisin qui s'occupait de nous (principale communication, questions au jour le jour, où/quand/comment acheter des fruits) était génial. Il ne communique qu'en espagnole, il est très généreux. La maison est grande et les lits sont confortables. L'air climatisée fonctionnait dans les chambres. La cuisine dehors était vraiment appréciée. Bien que nous ne pouvions pas l'utiliser la moitié du temps que nous y étions, la piscine était bien, le sauna ne fonctionnait pas pendant notre séjour. Un coq et plusieurs poules venaient sur notre terrain au plaisir des enfants.

Carolina was the most incredible host ever - extremely helpful before and during our trip. we also absolutely loved the house - the view and property are astounding. I would absolutely return to Carolina's house again just to explore even more! I wish we had booked more time here!

This was property matched the description and the pictures well. El Castillo is a more peaceful area than La Fortuna and close enough to feel like you can go back and forth without any issue. The view from the porch hot tub is stunning and makes up for the rustic amenities within the cabin. There was daily construction starting at 6:00am on the house next-door, however, so I probably would not have chosen this property if I had known that before-hand.

I spent two months in this beautiful house, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I could not have asked for more kind and generous hosts who helped me with anything I needed. Grisalda, Marcos, and Antonieta helped me feel right at home, and they felt like family by the time I left. The house is large and well ventilated, and surrounded by trees. It feels like you are in a treehouse. The view of the Gulf of Nicoya was something I enjoyed every day. Definitely note that, unless you mainly want to stay in the house and enjoy the peace and quiet and being in nature, you definitely will want to rent a car. Also, the house is guarded by the most lovely dog I've ever met, Marimba, or Mari for short. Her company was an unexpected and wonderful surprise. If you stay here, give her a scratch behind her ears and a chicharrone from me ❤️

Absolutely loved our stay! The property is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds and breathtaking views of the volcano. Very private - no one else nearby. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the pool and jacuzzi—it was the perfect place to relax. The location is great too, just a quick and easy 15-minute drive into downtown. Kenneth was an exceptional host—super responsive and thoughtful, even leaving fresh coconuts in the fridge for us. We would definitely stay here again!

The most incredible stay. Perfect location, easy driving distance to everything but set back and peaceful! Had the most incredible time on the family farm tour with Laudelio, Justin and Gabriel. It was the best part of our visit by far!

This was the perfect rental for our family. The chef prepared a very special meal for our family, the home is very well kept and was in the center of all the activities we did, yet tucked away in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The pool and jacuzzi were amazing! We hope that we get to stay here again. The hosts were so kind to help with making recommendations. Thank you very much! Pura Vida!

Second time staying at this place. What was new was the swimming pool, housed in its own glassed-in building. For an amateur birder, it is a lovely property to explore with binoculars. Hosts are very kind. I hope to return there at a future date.

House is on a dairy farm, cozy and comfortable. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking, thank you very much. You do need to buy your food before you go since it is a little remote. There is someone working in the middle of the night next to the house and that might bother you if you are a light sleeper. One of the bathroom does not have hot water at the time and it seems common that kitchen does not have hot water. We are ok since there is another bathroom has warm enough water for shower.

Loved our stay at Jessica’s place! It is a nature haven, surrounded by the sounds of birds and lush greenery. The outdoor area lets you enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The house was clean and very comfortable, even better than the pictures. Location is great, just 10 minutes from the downtown area and close to all the attractions. Jessica and her aunt Lorena were responsive and made our check-in easy, they shared great recommendations for dinner and drinks. Highly recommend for your stay in La Fortuna!

Prijs kwaliteit zeker een aanrader. Het ontbijt is heerlijk voor een zeer mooie prijs. De locatie vonden we achteraf iets minder, maar dat is niet de schuld van Kees. Voor wie even halt wil houden tussen la Fortuna en Monteverde ideaal. Wij hebben van hieruit de tocht op en af naar Monteverde gedaan en die is toch best uitdagend. Daarom zouden wij volgende keer dichter naar Monteverde getrokken zijn. Maar tranadora is een rustige plek aan het meer, met in san luis een klein haventje. Resto Tip: Carnivoros vlak aan de plaza deportivo van Tranadora

Nos encantó nuestra estadía en este lugar. Mi familia y yo disfrutamos muchísimo de los días que pasamos aquí. El espacio es cómodo y acogedor, y la piscina fue un gran plus para todos. Además, el billar (pool) fue una excelente adición para la diversión en familia. ¡Sin duda, una experiencia increíble y nos encantaría volver!

Très bel endroit, le jardin est sublime, en pleine nature et la vue en haut du chemin est juste incroyable ! Le logement est confortable et la terrasse très appréciable. Il est idéalement situé pour profiter des nombreuses activités de la région. Yania est très accueillante et les échanges chaleureux! Une adresse à retenir !

This place was very nice, clean, and spacious for our family of five. It had the most beautiful view any of us had ever seen which was one of the highlights of our trip. The property is very nice and private with a great pool area. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful whenever we needed anything. Highly recommend!

First of all, thank you to Angel for making his place available to travelers like this. Our amazing trip would not have been possible without people like you! This was a five star stay for our group of 6 (my husband and I, my sister, and our three friends). We personally were very happy but I am going to point out a few things for future travelers that affect your own stay. We had zero cell service at this house and the wifi was questionable at best. No biggie for us but others might care. Town was five minutes away and offered free wifi and good cell service. There were creepy crawlies from time to time. Spiders. Two scorpions. Cool to us, maybe not others. During our particular stay, the nights didn't get as cool as normal, no a/c left the house and rooms a bit hot to sleep in but we survived. Remember when using WAZE to find this place, you put in the airbnb house name to find it easily (Casa Morchella). We loved our stay. The birds. The coati. Paradise 💚

Villa 3 is even more amazing than on the photos! What an architectural marvel, everything is thoughtfully designed, and modern and practical. I don’t believe I’ve ever had more magical 3 days than chilling in the pool looking out over miles and miles of Costa Rica’s treetops, the Golf of Nicoya with its islands and the mountains in the distance, with a drink in hand, after/before touring Monteverde. The hosts are so kind and welcoming. And the Monteverde region has so much to offer. The #1 Airbnb on my list!

Our families first time to Costa Rica and certainly our first time to the mountain town of Monteverde. We arrived near sunset and the views were absolutely beautiful. The home we rented was very beautiful with fun little amenities like a bridge that goes above the kitchen and dinning room. The rooms were exactly what we needed with more than enough room for our family and more guests if we had been traveling with more people. Finca Terra Viva is the best GPS land mark in the area that you should drive towards to find the driveway. My GPS din't like the address, but had no problem finding the land mark of Finca Terra Viva about two hundred meters from the left fork to get you to the house. The host did a great job of helping us get to their home. I highly recommend arriving before dark to make it easier to find. Also, Bon Appetit is a awesome restaurant a very short distance to the house and on the corner of one of the turns to get to the home. So easy to get back too as well. Loved it

Federico's cabin was absolutely wonderful. We were looking for something quiet and peaceful, not something right on the road or in town with the noise of traffic or people, and his place fit the bill perfectly. Gorgeous views, lots of birds and animals around the cabin, and very private and peaceful. 5 minute walk to the Monteverde Reserve ticket office was very convenient. Short section of the drive into town includes an unpaved road but it really wasn't a big deal. Federico was super responsive whenever we messaged him, and he also provided some local recommendations of things to do. His family's story is also very interesting to hear about! The only small negative is that the cabin could get a little cold at night depending on the weather that day, so pack accordingly. Not a problem when sleeping though, because there were extra blankets. Lastly, a car with moderately high clearance is recommended (doesn't have to be a 4x4). We'd 100% stay there again--thanks so much Federico!

Un lugar muy tranquilo perfecto para dos personas. Disfrutamos mucho de el balcón para desayunar y leer. Queda a menos de 10min del centro, muy fácil de encontrar. Las instrucciones de Aurora fueron super claras y no tuvimos ningún tipo de inconveniente.

I’ve stayed in dozens of airbnb’s all over the world, and this house is easily one of my favorites. I wish I could take it with me haha. It’s super spacious, impeccably clean and it just has everything you could need. They thought of it all. You get solid Wi-Fi if you’re working remotely like me. Hot water in the faucets - that’s straight up luxury for Costa Rica. The outside yard is perfect to hang out and play in if you have kids. Centrally located for everything you could want to do in Monteverde. Angel is a super-host through and through. If it’s available, book it!

I cannot say enough about this experience, we lost our luggage and right from the get-go before we even landed Luis had found someone to pick it up the next day, he even went to the chemist for my medication. Waking up, listening to the howler monkeys, in what felt like a beautiful oasis in the middle of a jungle, set in a wildlife reserve, and being able to walk along the trails with my coffee and pyjamas early in the morning looking for the monkeys, was the most incredible experience. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous, with the most beautiful views, it felt luxurious, and cosy… so much so that we ate in two of the three nights, and Luis helped us get food delivered from the restaurants. He gave us advice.. helped us book trips… nothing was too much trouble…. The house was even nicer than I thought it was going to be. We had an incredible time.

Probably the most stunning AirBNB I have ever stayed in. You have beautiful views of the lush jungle from every room and the place is very large. We also loved being able to do laundry. We had no trouble finding the place using the link/coordinates sent to us and arriving while it was still bright out.
