Monteverde : locations de vacances dans des tiny houses

Las vistas, al menos en temporada seca, son insuperables. Hay vista completa al volcán Arenal desde el ventanal de la cama y desde el porche. Karen es súper amable y muy agradable. Nos ayudó con varias excursiones y nos dio consejos muy útiles sobre cosas que hacer por la zona. Siempre estaba atenta a lo que pudiéramos necesitar. Estuvimos muy a gusto y si volvemos es un sitio que repetiremos sin duda.

Keith is very heartwarming, open and friendly. Knows the neighborhood and always around for whatever you need. The dogs and cats were very cute as well and they put a lot of effort in hygiene because our room was very clean. The view and swimming pool were amazing and we enjoyed watching the stars in the hot tub one night (Keith was very persuasive, and we weren't disappointed!). We would strongly recommend it for everyone looking for a relaxing place with very good energy! Keith's place is a bit outside of Monteverde, but it's actually so easy to get to any of your planned activities. We had a small 4x4, but I think during the dry season another vehicle could suffice as well (it certainly wasn't the worst road we've seen in CR). We went to cafe Om on our way to Samara (after checking out) and had one of the best vegan lunches ever in a very nice setting with the purest ingredients and kindest people, so we would also recommend this if it fits your itinerary.

A lovely location and a super nice host. Jessica met us on arrival, chatted over making us coffee, got to know us. The house was spacious and very comfortable, a good kitchen dining area and lovely patio. We saw howler monkeys close up and toucans in the garden. We enjoyed our stay very much.

200% recommend the place and the host. The best spot in La Fortuna if you aren’t looking for high end and frills. Ask for a cabin at the rear to enjoy abundant bird life, peace & quiet plus volcano views.

We had a fabulous stay at the Magic Villa. The place is amazing and accurate to pictures and descriptions. We liked that it was out of town enough to feel secluded but close enough that it was only a quick drive. The location is very private and peaceful. It is right next to the Sloth’s territory which was a great tour and very convenient. Jason was also an extremely gracious host and very responsive. We can’t wait to stay again!

This is our second time back at this air bnb and we could not be happier. The breakfast provided by the abuela and abuelo is absolutely delicious and worth every penny. The host is responsive and helpful with any and all questions and you can tell there is a lot of care put into these cute cabins and beautiful surroundings. This is a place we will continue to come back to for years to come.

Our stay here was a dream - we truly cannot recommend it enough. The host was very communicative and very helpful throughout our stay and all the instructions for the listing were easy to follow! The house had everything we needed and we appreciated having a proper cooker/stove as well as all the appliances we needed to cook anything. The house is very cute and had tons of character, with so many things to explore within it and so many places to chill and hang out! The views the house offers are unbelievable. We could not believe how lucky we were to see unmatched views of the sunset, and the stars in the night are utterly magical. We spent a whole evening lying in the hammock on the balcony, and were lucky enough to see shooting stars! We will definitely stay in Casa Cielo again and would recommend this listing to anyone who wants to experience a few days of pure magic in the leafy mountains of Monteverde. A truly unbelievable place.

This cozy can was a great find! Stay here if you get the opportunity. It’s a beautiful private jungle oasis right in La fortuna but you feel like you’re out in the rainforest 💯! Lots of nearby stores and restaurants. Highly recommend this unique stay. Beautiful and the gym/yoga space is a sweet surprise!

My husband and I stayed at Amalu for three nights in mid-February 2025. We stayed in Glass Cabin Number one, and the view was west-facing and stunning. You had views all the way to the Pacific Ocean and a perfect view of sunset every night. You're so high up that you can feel the winds blowing in the day and through the night, but it only adds to the mountaintop experience as you're warm and snug in your perfectly appointed glass house. The units have a kitchenette and come stocked with perfect food essentials provided by the host. There are spa waffle robes and slippers and a telescope for stargazing and bird watching. The hot tub outside on the deck is amazing for relaxing at night. The staff were extremely friendly and welcomed us upon arrival. If we needed anything at all, it was just a message away.

We had a great stay at Manrique’s! The house was cozy and located in a charming neighborhood within walking distance to the city center and driving distance to main attractions. The bed was surprisingly spacious and very comfortable. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and we especially appreciated the consistently warm water in the shower and the WiFi. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a big plus. It was also super convenient to have a dedicated parking spot. All in all, a great place to stay, would definitely recommend!

Our stay in Monteverde was incredible! Nestled on a coffee plantation, the property offered breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. The morning breakfast was a great added touch, making our experience even better. My partner and I truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Monteverde!

Great place at a bargain price, well appointed with a comfortable bed and awesome sunset views from the balcony. I would recommend having at the very least a high clearance car if you're planning on visiting Santa Elena/Monteverde—the roads in the area are mostly gravel/dirt and have some serious hills. All in all Karla's place was as described and close to many things to do in the area. I highly recommend checking out El Tigre, it is an epic hike. Pura Vida

A true gem! Karen and Bernny are awesome hosts. The place is peaceful and comfortable and clean. Karen was exceedingly kind when I locked myself out 😆. The WiFi worked great. The bed is very comfortable. The chairs on the porch are wonderful. Bernny provided many suggestions for local attractions and how to prioritize to get the most of them. He also leads a fantastic night walk which I recommend to all. Things of note - this is a windy area - things get loud at night - plan for it. The hot water does not have a lot of pressure but gets the job done. This seems to be the norm in CR. 4WD vehicle is not necessary if you follow the instructions from the hosts. higher clearance is nice but also not required when I went. Yes driving is tricky in the area and probably not for everyone. But boy - is it ever worth it! The area is amazing and you will be lucky to book this place.

Truly an incredible place. Licni’s place was definitely one of the most unique Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed at. The sunset here was something you have to experience in person. Licni communicated well before and during our stay, providing clear instructions on how to get to the house. It is in a remote location, so would recommend having a four wheel drive vehicle for the ride, and definitely try to arrive during daylight hours. We were only able to stay for one night on this trip, but would absolutely plan to visit here again in the future!

Great stay, very quiet and peaceful.

We had a great time staying in La Fortuna at one of the Home Vacations properties! Would highly recommend to anyone coming to La Fortuna. The company office also had great recommendations of places to eat and things to do and made booking activities a breeze.

What a special place! We felt so lucky to have a spot in the jungle with sounds of the nearby stream, beautiful birds perching in the backyard and a place to relax after a long day of exploring. Jocsan has smartly built two tiny houses next to each other in his backyard. They are positioned in a way that all feels private and the vegetation surrounds you everywhere. In between his house and the tiny houses is a gorgeous back garden. It was a pleasure meeting him and his family and although we weren’t able to take him up on it, he offered to feed us one night! His spot is nestled in an area of town right outside La Fortuna which was lovely to get away from the busy town at the end of the day. But also just a few mins into town for meals and conveniently located to many tourist attractions. Great spot, highly recommend! Thanks so much Jocsan & family for hosting us!

Ich habe mich in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Fenster rund um das Bett mit Blick in den Wald waren mein Highlight. Nur schade, dass die Bäume inzwischen so hoch sind, dass man nicht, wie auf den Fotos, den Vulkan vom Bett aus sehen kann. Die Unterkunft war mit viel Liebe zum Detail hergerichtet. Nur der Kühlschrank hatte leider einen sehr unangenehmen Geruch.

Es nuestra segunda vez hospedados en esta casa y nos gustó mucho. Además es un lugar seguro y muy tranquila.

I have to start off by thanking and complimenting Silvia. I’ve never had a host communicate as proactively and warmly as Silvia did. She helped us book activities and was ever available when we got lost trying to get to the home (our fault), even greeting us at check in. The home is exactly as it looks and is very cozy. In our opinion, its best feature is its location. No activity is too far (45 mins was the longest we travelled and that was to Mistico Hanging Bridges, everything else was within 20-30 mins). The other great feature is the backyard and grounds. The home is on a papaya farm, which made one of our slower mornings very fulfilling. The patio was relaxing after a long day of hiking and physical activity. We sat out at night and looked at stars and swung on the hammocks :) Not a knock on the home itself but just be prepared for insects around. They did not get in the home often but since it’s a warm humid climate, they are around (it took us a day to get used to).

It was fun to stay at a location that was creatively built. We loved the greek yogurt that their family makes! I got tons of interest from my friends to stay there and would recommend.
