Sergio has a fantastic place that is perfect for our extended family. The house is quirky and a challenge to navigate—there are a lot of steps everywhere. However, every room is a gem, and everything works. Sergio was an ideal host - such a difference from company-places with remote staff that don't care a damn. We all had an amazing time. We hope to be back soon!

Le logement est sécuritaire et est très bien situé. Tout est conforme à la description. Une personne est sur le site et répond à nos besoins. Nous étions dans la villa 1 près de l entrée. Nous recommandons les villas plus loin car il y a un voisin qui a un chien qui jappe constamment. Dans l ensemble, nous avons passé un bon moment.

The house was perfect for a short, 2-night stay. We were greeted by beautiful hand-picked flowers and a basket with bread, bananas, juice, and eggs (which was wonderful to have on hand). Our stay was not without lots of critters, including a visit by a scorpion, but you have to consider you are in a rainforest. The house gets quite hot during the day but cools down nicely at night to allow you to sleep in comfort. The grounds were fun to explore and Marta and Carlos were easy to communicate with. Overall, a good experience.

Evelyn was an amazing host! She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We loved her home and wish we had booked it for a few more nights. The home was very comfortable for our family of 5 and we especially loved the sights and sounds from the deck. Taking everything into consideration, this is probably the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Absolutely incredible place to stay. Was perfect for my husband and I and another couple. Truly couldn’t beat the sunsets here and their local recommendations were great!!

We had an awesome stay and would definitely recommend this place. It’s in a great location, about 10 minutes to town with beautiful views from the patio! The house was very clean and well supplied. The hosts were also easy to communicate with and very responsive. Next time we’re in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here with my husband and 4 kids. Rossy met us to check in and showed us around. The yard is beautiful with a back porch that is serene and a wonderful spot to drink coffee in the mornings and relax in the evenings. We did not bring a car so Rossy helped us book a couple of tours and a taxi to get to them. There were at least 6 restaurants and a grocery store within a 10 minute walk. We walked over to the butterfly preserve which was really fun. The weather was hot while we were there but Rossy had several fans set up and the house cooled down at night with no trouble. Rossy even let us pick some blackberries from her garden which were delicious! Overall we had an incredible time in Monteverde and Rossy’s house was a perfect jumping off point for us.

The house is 15 minutes by car from Santa Elena, the busy town in Monteverde. Santa Elena has shopping, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, souvenirs and lots of tourists. This house is away from the hustle and bustle with the most spectacular view of the gulf of Nicoya on the doorstep. It has multiple rocking chairs where you can admire the view. Birds, including toucans and Motmots and of course , the white-throated magpie Jay are abundant in the beautiful garden. So many butterflies, even the blue morpho! The neighborhood is quiet and some neighbors even brought me squash from the garden! I am looking forward to going back for 2 months more!

Home Vacations is an excellent company to stay with. We originally were going to rent a car but decided it was better to have our host Carlos plan any transfers, transportation, or taxis we needed. Carlos set up all of our excursions. He made it easy to plan our days of adventure and dining experiences. The home was very clean. We had everything we needed. The pool was a nice touch.

We were two families with teenage kids and really enjoyed the sleeping arrangements and that each adult couple and sets of kids had their own bungalow. The area was peaceful and just outside of town but quick and easy drive/ride into town (no problem Ubering to town). It’s a very authentic accommodations but still had AC and full kitchen. The owner was very helpful and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The place is incredible. Very spacious, secluded, and beautiful. The kitchen is very well stocked. So easy to make a big meal for lots of people. The access road is very challenging and I would recommend a 4x4.

Beautiful place in a secure gated community!

Our group of 8 adults and 2 teenagers stayed at Allan & Jorge’s villa, and it exceeded all our expectations. The villa offered the perfect balance of privacy and a shared space, ideal for our group. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and communication with our hosts was seamless. We especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome gift of fruit and drinks. Thank you, Allan & Jorge!

We had a great family vacation at this beautiful property. The setup is ideal as the great room is large enough for everyone to spend lots of quality time together. There's a pool table, large TV and lots of seating. The location worked well for us and was about 15 to 20 minutes from most of the activities we decided upon (which William and Laura helped arrange). I would highly recommend William and Laura's place for a get together with a large group.

Our stay at Morada Colibri in Arenal was unforgettable. Despite a flight delay and arriving at midnight, Andy was always available, ensuring a smooth check-in and offering great restaurant recommendations along the way. From the moment we entered, we felt like we had stepped into paradise. The lush landscaping and beautifully designed interiors created a serene retreat. The home smelled fresh, felt luxurious, and the spa-like bathrooms were a perfect touch. Andy’s exceptional hospitality made our trip effortless. He tailored our itinerary, adjusted reservations, and shared invaluable local insights. The location was perfect—just 10 minutes from La Fortuna and 5 minutes from Tabacón Hot Springs. Everything we wanted to explore was within easy reach. This was one of our most memorable family vacations. Morada Colibri combines luxury, nature, and personal service flawlessly. If you’re visiting Arenal, we highly recommend it—we can’t wait to return!

We absolutely loved staying here and the listing was correct that the views are absolutely spellbinding!! We loved the layout of the houses as they allowed us to be together but still have privacy within our own group. The beds were comfortable and the AC was lovely. The clubhouse pool was so beautiful and a very short walk from the house which was perfect. They even have breakfast at the clubhouse which was delicious. Tanyia and Rod, the hosts, were so incredible and handled our needy group with ease. They were incredibly responsive and had great recommendations. Plus the house was so well stocked with everything we needed, it was perfect. The house is not far from Tronadora where there are a number of restaurants and while the drive to La Fortuna is long, it is very doable. If you plan of visiting here as a large group, I'd recommend renting a car with 4 wheel drive because parts of the drive are very steep and/or rocky. Overall, we LOVED our stay and highly recommend!!!

Comfortable place for our family with two kids while visiting La Fortuna. Two comfortable rooms with good AC. The primary bedroom has a nice outdoor shower. The pool is smaller than it appears in the pictures but our kids loved it. Nice views of the volcano. This cottage is one of several in the same compound. It's secured with a gate, has convenient parking, and has a shared laundry room that was fully stocked so we could wash and dry clothes. The host was very proactive in communications and had great instructions. Their guidebook was also very helpful. El Chante Verde (just a couple hundred meters away) is particularly excellent!

We absolutely loved this home. It will definitely be our favorite in all of Costa Rica. The pool and outdoor patio is magical and the house is so great. It was awesome to have two separate spaces for our large party. I highly recommend this Airbnb.

Hermoso lugar, perfecto para descansar y desconectarse! Carolina muy amable y pendiente en todo momento, el lugar tiene una excelente ubicación, buena limpieza, una vista espectacular al Volcán, totalmente equipado con lo necesario para pasar unas vacaciones maravillosas! Volveremos!!

This Airbnb greatly exceeded my expectations. John was very responsive and would check in on us to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. He was also so kind and thoughtful to add special touches to the Airbnb to help me celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. He made our stay extra special!! Thank you so much John!

My husband, 12-year-old son and I stayed for three nights at Sunset House and we really enjoyed ourselves. It's an affordable option for families with a great pool, hammock and outdoor space to relax after busy days visiting local attractions (even if there was some construction happening next door). We didn't think we were in the right place at first but our host was very responsive. Look for a big yellow pergola-style entrance off the main road. The gated entrance to the side street is a bit recessed and there's a guard. As for location, it's a bit off the beaten path but still close enough to attractions (15 min to Fortuna Waterfall, 20 min to hot springs, 30-35 min to Arenal and Mistico). You need a car to stay here. We appreciated the nice touches - cold water in the fridge, plenty of towels, tea/coffee. We grabbed a few easy meals from a fried chicken stand down the road and yummy empanadas from Restaurante Delicias Tablada just steps away. Overall, as advertised!

Un petit coin de paradis avec une vue imprenable sur le lac Arenal. Le logement est encore plus beau en vrai que sur les photos. La vue depuis la terrasse est splendide. Quel plaisir de se réveiller avec le chants des oiseaux et de se coucher dans un environnement paisible. Christina et Diego ont été des hôtes remarquables, sympathiques et arrangeants et leur domaine mérite vraiment le détour. Vous êtes à 1h20 de Monteverde et à 2h de Arenal ou du Rio Céleste, c’est parfait pour sillonner la région et explorer les environs. La balade à cheval qu’il propose est juste superbe, nous l’avons fait au lever du soleil et les points de vue étaient magnifiques. Un grand bravo à vous pour votre ranch c’est une véritable réussite. Je recommande +++

This stay was perfect for our family. It was right outside of town so any of our excursions were between 5-30 minutes of easy driving away. There was a local Soda about 7 minutes away that we visited multiple times. The house had everything we needed and extra towels, blankets etc. We made various meals, smoothies and coffee. It was nice that each room had a bathroom, the AC was much needed and we also did laundry. We spent a ton of time on the patio and hanging out on the hammocks. The pool was perfect. The shallow end is only a couple feet so my one year old could stand on his own and play or we could put a chair in to lounge and cool off. If you go outside in the early morning you can hear all kinds of birds/animals waking up. The neighborhood was quiet and we liked seeing the animals across the street. Joshua was awesome. We were in constant communication with him about various things throughout our trip and he was so helpful and responsive. I’d highly recommend this stay.

Casa Paraíso was absolutely fantastic. The location was very private and secure, and exactly as described. Prior to arrival Juan sent us a number of links to recommended local stores and places to eat. Anna contacted us to meet to introduce the location and answer any questions. Check in and out were a breeze and very accommodating (we arrived late). Juan was very responsive to any issues that we had as well as Javier (the gardener/pool guy). The location was great, not far from many of the attractions that we wanted to visit. Highly recommended!
