Our second time visiting this unique and beautiful cabin. Our first time here 6 years ago, we exchanged our vows at a beautiful spot on the trails behind the cabin, and needless to say this place holds a special place in our hearts. Driving out of Cortez and down McElmo Canyon, the beauty of the area is incredible. We drove in late in the day, and the last bit of sunshine hitting the red rocks was breathtaking. The cabin is perfectly equipped with everything one needs for a comfortable stay, and Mark has taken a lot of time to put together thorough guides on hiking in the area, restaurants, things to do and see, and the ins and outs of the cabin. The cabin and immediate surroundings would be enough in themselves, but the trails beyond the cabin are what make this place really unique. Rarely have we seen anyone else on the trails, and it is remarkably quiet. The views are incredible, and there are many ancient archaeological secrets to discover! We look forward to a 3rd visit!

What a cozy little cabin! The bathtub was wonderful. Had all the necessary amenities, with some to spare. The propane heater + the small wood stove is great. Kitchen was cute and practical, along with the complimentary snacks! I was also a big fan of the on-demand water heater, it's nifty.

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed with Bill and Joanne, and they are just so wonderful. The cabin and property are gorgeous and such a peaceful place for some much needed rest. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re coming to southwestern Colorado.

Staying at the Scappy Duck Yurt was truly a one of a kind experience. The layout and all that was inside was amazing and worked really well. The craftsmanship was a work of art. We enjoyed meeting Katie and her son they were so kind and friendly. We liked helping with the ducks, watching the beautiful sunsets and stargazing. We had 5 of us but there was room for 8 people. We enjoyed making meals, playing games, visiting Mesa Verde and just relaxing. We definitely recommended staying here and will come back in the future.

The listing was as described. We were in Mancos for the weekend and this was a perfect stay. Kellie was great, and we finally got a visit from the doggies on Sunday that were super cute and friendly. Thanks again, Kellie.

This was one of the best air bnbs I’ve been to! Dan was so kind as well. It’s in a beautiful and private location and very cozy, just as pictured, on the inside. Dan provides everything needed and it was the perfect place to end our trip. I want to stay here again !

The pictures online don’t do it justice. It is very spacious for a family of 7. We wish we could take the house with us to our hometown. Cami thought of everything you could need with very clear instructions of where things are at. We had everything we needed to cook meals including basic condiments and seasonings. The kids were entertained with the outdoor and indoor games - we weren’t expecting all of the outdoor stuff so they were a great surprise that we all enjoyed a lot. We felt right at home and hope to go back again because we loved it so much. The best part was the location - it was so peaceful and great for stargazing at night, and close to landmarks to visit and explore.

This is my third time staying at Ron’s place. It’s so peaceful and quiet. Ron makes sure that we feel welcome every time we visit CO. thank you so much Ron for everything!!
