The house is brand new, and everything was spotlessly clean. It is essentially two living spaces with full kitchen and entertainment both on the main level and downstairs. All the beds were comfortable, the master suites were very nice, and the bunk rooms were very functional. There is a Blackstone grill on the upper deck and a Weber gas grill on the pool deck. The pellet ice maker was also a pleasant surprise. Tim was super-easy to work with, and very accommodating. If I were trying to come up with three adjectives to describe this place, they would be “gorgeous, upgraded, and spotless.” If we’re in town again the same time next year, we will be hoping it is available again.

We had a fun time and wished we could stay longer. Greg’s home is really clean and has fun games and a well-stocked kitchen. We would love to come again.

The house was great and the views spectacular. Of course it was Thanksgiving and it was cold, but the lake was peaceful. The driveway is very steep and was difficult to park , even with a truck.

Perfect girls weekend trip. Lots of room, big kitchen, loved the screened porch, deck and boat dock / fire pit area.

We rented the lake house so my family and I can spend the holidays and my dad's 87th birthday together. We all had a great time! The place was really nice and the house is really spacious.

This was such an amazing place! There was enough to keep the littles engaged when we were there and it wasn’t extremely far from the attractions that we came to visit. It felt comfortable and was very well thought out. I will definitely be recommending this to anyone visiting the area. If we are ever out that way again, we will be staying at the creekside escape!

I just want to start this review by saying "Do not skip over this place!" It was a incredible place to stay. I needed to do an earlier check-in, within 3 minutes of asking if it was possible, I had a response. Talking about A+ service!! The house was very spacious, and clean! The house had extra stuff people had left behind, which is always a plus, especially when you just want a little seasoning!! Be sure to check out the local general store, the lady there is super nice! I was beyond pleased with everything, and will definitely try to stay here again!

Gorgeous cabin, high end finishes, more amenities than expected. Please take care of this beautiful home, the host and property are top tier. Amazing stay.

I had an issue at check in and Carolyn was delightful and extremely responsive in helping me get it resolved. We accidentally left some important items and she also helped us get them shipped back to us. On top of how beautiful the lake and the property is, it was a wonderful stay!

Wow. What a beautiful place! The pictures don’t do this home justice. The inside is just beautiful and cozy, and truly made us feel like we were in a cabin up in the mountains, tucked away from the outside world. The outside of the house was truly fantastic! From the deck, to all the open space in the back and the gorgeous water views, it was the perfect place to relax any time of day. Our kids didn’t even want to go anywhere else because the backyard area was such a fun place to play and explore… and the adults all loved lounging on the back deck while the kids played! The house had everything we needed and more, and even the kitchen was outfitted with everything we could need for our weekend away. Every part of the house felt cozy and welcoming and we only wished we could have stayed longer. If ever in the area again, hands down this is where we would want to stay!

What a great retreat and with the added bonus of access to the National Forest. The cabin is thoughtfully decorated, quiet, cozy and an outdoor shower to boot! For my stay, as a camper, that was fun and her fire pit is huge! You can cook on it, enjoy the view, or boast a good hardy fire. The hostess was gracious, accommodating, and available without hesitation. This will be my family’s go to for a semi-rustic weekend.

Cozy cabin on a peaceful river - I loved watching the birds across the river. The cabin is actually on a small tributary and there's a small island full of trees and wildlife between the tributary and the main channel. It was so quiet and peaceful, zero sounds of traffic. There was a heron colony right across from the cabin, it was so incredible to watch the different bird species settle in at night to go to sleep. We visited Morrow Mountain State Park which was also beautiful with the interesting history of the Uwharrie Mountains. The cabin was cozy and comfortable - clean kitchen, comfy couch/loveseat/recliners, cute porch with a porch swing. Logs were provided for the fire pit, as were lawn chairs that we could carry out to the dock.
