I have so much positive to say about this place! Despite what some reviews mention about the drive, it's absolutely worth it. There's a small restaurant just 2-3 minutes away, easy access to the city, and you're only about an hour from Pisa and some beaches. The house was perfect—everything well thought out and worth every penny. The pool was amazing, and the host was very responsive. If you're visiting in autumn or spring, bring warm clothes for the chilly evenings. We were sad to leave, and I can't wait to come back to this dreamy property!

The house and especially the garden were perfect to get some perspective over New Year. Our dog loved the huge garden, we felt great about it since it's completely fenced ;-) Form the house, you have a lovely overview over the olive grove and the valley - in the distance, one cann even spott the towers of Lucca. The garden gazebo makes a nice match with the house and is well lit at night, also some more lights are distributed carefully around the garden which makes the place look special at night. The house is cozy and well refurbished, the carrara kitchen sink and table look worthy and elegant. Stefania is a beautifukl host, always responsive and helpful. We would love to come back soon!

We took our family to Barga for the first time. There were 9 of us, ranging from 6 months to 70 years old. The villa swallowed us easily, plenty of space and privacy for everyone. Eleonora and Daniela were very responsive during the booking period, and when we arrived everything was exactly as expected. It's a beautiful place, the views and setting are magnificent, and it really is no more than 10 minutes walk in to the old town of Barga. The welcome pack included local cheese, a traditional cake, wine, oil, bread and was much appreciated! Despite some appalling weather, we made lovely pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven, and enjoyed some (coolish) swimming in the large clean pool - this was early October. Excellent range of restaurants in old and new Barga. 45 mins to Lucca, 1 hour from Pisa - and the caves at Grotta del Vento are definitely worth a visit - especially if it's raining! Overall, we had a brilliant time. Highly recommended.

Our stay was wonderful. The view of the Mediterranean Sea is amazing. We were able to see Corsica and the French Alps while relaxing on the observation deck. The house is so much more than what is shown through the pictures. The bedrooms are all large and wonderfully equipped. the location was ideal for the areas that we went to see. We were in Italy for 15 days and three of those days were at this wonderful home. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks Barbara for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful house in a stunning location. Pool was great. Perfect for a large family. Owners were very helpful and available when needed. Rooms were hot overnight but this is expected in peak summer in Italy.

Abbiamo passato una magnifica settimana nella casa di Vincenzo. Eravamo 2 famiglie con bambini (5 in totale). Gli spazi in casa sono stati perfetti per accogliere tutti. La posizione, a 15 minuti di auto dalle spiagge di Lido di Camaiore e a 35 minuti dalla bellissima Lucca, si è rivelata perfetta. Fuori dal caos, immersi nel verde e nella tranquillità. Vincenzo poi è un super host! Amichevole e disponibile. Assolutamente consigliato.

We had a great time in Giampis house. Beautiful garden with a nice swimming pool, and we especially liked the kitchen outside in the upper house, which we could use also when it was raining. Great surroundings, great view, walking distance to shops and good restaurants in the small, peaceful town La Gracie and 15 min walks to the more touristic, but beautiful Portovenere. A great base for tours in Cinque Terre, with ferry from Portovenere or bus into La Spezia and train from there. We came without car, no problem at all to get around. Giampaolo is very friendly and helpful and gave us good advices where to eat and to do our shopping, and how to get around. We will absolutely recommend Giampaolos place, either for a relaxing or for a sportive vacation, or even better, both!

Sehr Freundlich und Hilfsbereit. War sofort vor Ort wenn man was nicht wusste oder brauchte. Schöne Gegend. Ruhig trotz Autobahn in der Nähe. Man hört sie aber nicht. Pool wurde jeden Tag gereinigt.. gerne wieder. Gruss Marco

The house is very well laid out with ample space. Cristina left the pool open and this was enjoyed by the younger memebrs of the party. The house is close to the main road which impacts on the external enjoyment at the busiest times but inside there is no impact. We were repeatedly delayed due to fog in London and she could not have been more helpful. We made mistakes with the garbage as the standards are far higher than in the UK and perfectly reasonably she remonstrated with us. We were clearly in the wrong and lessons learnt. One small point, I think the pillows need renewing as very soft.

The villa was so beautiful, very large and spacious with an incredible outdoor area. The place was very clean, as was the linen, and the showers worked well. Brian was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We opted for the home-cooked dinner one night, which was great. All in all we had a really enjoyable stay and I'd definitely recommend this place.

This villa is a gem, pictures don’t do it justice. The views are absolutely breathtaking….The house is fully equipped with everything we needed. We managed a trip to Florence and surrounding beaches which was recommended by the host. We could have stayed longer. I would definitely be back. My kids loved the pool and the little surrounding walking trials surrounding the villa. Only 1 hours drive from Pisa airport.

Paolo was amazing! He was so helpful and responsive. The villa was even more impressive in person. Highly recommend staying here! Beautiful city. Do an olive oil tour / tasting if you can. Enjoy a sunset under the Tuscan sun!

Review for house- do you think ok? What an amazing and special home! Thank you to Leonardo and his mum for looking after us all so well during our stay (including Etta our dog) and for bringing us some wonderful local homemade dishes. Leonardo could not have been more helpful and gave us lots of local recommendations. Staying in such an historical building was an experience in itself and the views from the house were spectacular in all weathers- and we had a big mix of weather- sun, rain and storms. The outside spaces were perfect for having drinks and watching the sunset. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and dined in the spectacular dining area outside. Leonardo helped arrange a pasta making class with Alessandra which was a great experience for all of our group. The area is very beautiful, with forest walks, and fantastic views of the mountains and vineyards and huge chestnut trees. We visited some beautiful towns nearby. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday!

Villa Vittoria è il mix ideale tra tranquillità e comfort, a pochi minuti da Lucca. Gli interni sono spaziosi, ben riscaldati e accoglienti, perfetti per rilassarsi dopo una giornata in giro. Il patio coperto permette di godersi il panorama anche nelle giornate fresche. Sarebbe bello poterci tornare d’estate per godere del parco e della bellissima piscina. Un posto ideale per una fuga in Toscana!

The house is even more beautiful than the listing shows. Set in beautiful private and quiet garden. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms updated and luxurious. Our family of 7 plus an infant had a wonderful (but way too short) stay . We did not want to leave. We cooked meals at night and enjoyed the many beautiful spots to sit and relax. High recommended, we would love to come back again. We are a family of artists and especially enjoyed the art works, libraries, furnishings and decor. 3 of us are also master gardeners , and really appreciated the chance to enjoy the many layers of this garden. All is set on a hilltop in a quiet and beautiful area of Tuscany with easy access to highways. Livia is responsive and great to work with

Super Unterkunft ! Sehr ruhig gelegenes Anwesen mit viel Platz. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Juri ist sehr freundlich , zuvorkommen und die Kommunikation war einfach. Empfehlenswert ! … auch für grössere Gruppen.

We just returned from a weeklong stay at this beautiful villa, two families with kids ranging in age from 2 years old to 9 years old. The villa is fairly secluded but we had no problems finding it just through Google maps. The property is essentially fully enclosed so we did not have to worry about the kids wandering onto the roads. The house was extremely clean. Both kitchens were fully stocked with all the pots, utensils and serveware that you need. The outdoors was the best! Beautiful pool cleaned daily; not sure if pool was warmed but it was hot enough outside to keep the temp extremely comfortable. Behind the pool is the beautiful vineyard and volleyball area. The owners were so friendly; they gave us giant baskets of garden veggies and another basket of snacks and so much homemade wine. Elena/Ester were so helpful. The Conad is within 8 minutes away and had lots of fresh produce. We drove into Aulla for coffee and pastries (10 min away). Great base to stay with kids!

Très jolie maison située dans un endroit calme. Nous étions 12 dont 5 enfants et2 adolescents et tout le monde a beaucoup apprécié la très belle piscine et le jardin. Il y avait une salle de jeu pour les enfants. Claudio était très disponible et aimable lorsque nous avions des questions. Merci à lui également pour ses conseils

wenn jemand einen ruhigen und schönen Ort sucht, der ist hier genau richtig! Wir waren eine Woche in der Villa sole mio. Die Aussicht ist weitreichend und schön. Die Villen liegen etwas abgelegen was bedeutet, dass man mobil sein muss, dafür bekommt man Ruhe über den ganzen Tag. Die Lage liegt geografisch optimal und man erreicht Lucca,Pisa,Siena und Florenz. Auch am Meer ist man innert 45min. Optimal um Morgens Städte zu besichtigen und am Nachmittag den traumhaften Pool mit der Ausssicht zu geniessen. Unsere Gastgeberin, Martina war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Auch die Mitarbeiter, welche auf dem Grundstück arbeiten sind sehr freundlich und halten die Anlage in Schuss.Was zu erwähnen ist, ist die Zufahrt zur Villa.Man erreicht die Villen nur durch einen schmalen ca. 400m langen einspurigen Kiesweg.Ein Sportwagen oder ein tiefer gelegtes Fahrzeug ist nicht zu empfehlen. Ich kann die Villa sole mio nur weiterempfehlen. Würde sofort wieder dorthin.

Wunderschönes Haus und tolle Lage. Die Aussicht, der Garten und der Pool sind noch schöner als auf den Bildern. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, gleichzeitig ist man in nur wenigen Gehminuten im Ort, in dem es ein schönes Café und unterschiedliche Restaurants und Bars gibt. Die Kommunikation verlief sehr gut und wir haben uns zu jeder Zeit sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Marco ist der perfekte Gastgeber, wir haben uns sehr willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist perfekt, es fehlt an nichts und ich habe noch nie so einen netter und zuvorkommenden Gastgeber kennengelernt.

Tout était parfait. Les voisins ont été charmants et serviables tout au long du séjour. Ils sont là si vous avez besoin d’aide et sont très discrets ce qui permet aux vacanciers de se sentir vraiment chez eux. La piscine est vraiment géniale grande propre et nettoyer chaque jour. Vraiment nous recommandons cette belle propriété pour des vacances en famille. Merci à Anto et ses voisins 😊

We were welcomed by the host herself in this wonderful charming and peaceful villa. Perfectly maintained and great pool for the kids. Beautiful garden with lots of fresh herbs to cook with.

We had an amazing week at Villa "Il Grillo". Lorenzo and Bernadetta were the perfect hosts - friendly, helpful and welcoming. The house is lovely with spacious, comfortable bedrooms and a very well equipped kitchen. We felt right at home from the outset. There are lots of spaces outside to eat, drink and relax and take in the wonderful views. The villa is situated in an area that is perfect for visiting Florence, Pisa, Lucca (our favourite), the Cinque Terre and local villages and seaside towns. One evening we had a lovely meal at Lorenzo’s restaurant that serves great pizzas alongside traditional Tuscan food. The food was delicious and we were made to feel like locals by the friendly and attentive staff. All in all, the villa provided us with a really comfortable base to explore this lovely part of Italy.
