Where to start.. In my 10+ years on Airbnb, I have never come across a property like this. The hosts and their kids are just exquisite. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home and cater to your every need. The apartment is brand-new, super clean, and has all the amenities needed at the same time the lush jungle and green surroundings give a very tropical vibe. Working from home cannot be better, more peaceful, and private and with high-speed internet. The family loves to cook a meal for you, so you can keep on working or simply enjoy a relaxing stay. There is also the possibility to rent their scooter or tuk-tuk, make use of the laundry services and enjoy a yoga session on the rooftop deck. It's situated in the middle of the jungle, with monkeys and all kinds of lovely creatures. We love to surf, and with the beach just 5 mins scooter ride away, we felt like we had everything we could dream of. We will be back for sure!:) Thank you Nalaka and family for the wonderful stay!

We had an excellent stay at this apartment and appreciated all the thoughtful details. Communication with Dakshan was smooth and supportive from start to finish - he was very helpful, always quick to respond, and offered great assistance whenever we had questions or needed guidance. The apartment itself was in top-notch condition, featuring powerful air conditioning, fast internet, and a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking easy. The spacious layout and separate showers in each room gave everyone plenty of privacy and comfort. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the modern yet cosy feel instantly made us feel at home. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d gladly stay here again.

Hôte très amical, souriant et agréable. Le personnel était tout aussi gentil. Le logement était conforme aux photos, la décoration est faite avec beaucoup de goût. Tout était nickel, le logement était très propre et bien rangé. Idéalement situé, en plein cœur de la ville très animée d’Ahangama, mais au fond d’une petite ruelle très discrète, nous nous sentions en parfaite sécurité. Nous étions seulement à quelques pas de la mer et au milieu de nombreux restaurants, magasins, lieux attractifs et touristiques. Pour nos derniers jours au Sri Lanka c’était parfait. Merci encore!

We really loved our stay in the apartment. It's very nicely designed and has everything that's needed. Also, we really enjoyed cooking in the outside kitchen. The place has a nice working area if you ever need to be productive. Eva was a great host. She was there for us all the time and helped us a lot with everything. The beach is very close and several shops aren't far away.

Supun was very helpful, and his family is very nice. The location is right above the beach and is fast walk to it. It is a very good size room with everything you need, kitchen, AC, fridge, hot water. I hope to stay again

Superb place for basing yourself whilst visiting Unawatuna, situated in a great location just on the outskirts of Unawatuna. I found Lotus Bloom excellent for facilities which are required for a short stay or long stay. The neighbourhood is situated in a peaceful residential superb. I found all communications with Numan first class and was always very quick to respond to any queries. I would also like to mention Shalika the caretaker who was always very responsive to my needs in a positive manner. I would defiently recommend Lotus Bloom if your thinking of visiting Unawatuna you will not be disappointed.

We loved our stay here. Easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and breakfast cafes. Perfect for vacation or remote work. The excellent wifi and access to a washer were also perks. Wonderful stay - would definitely recommend!

Perfect place when you have kids like us. They really loved swimming in the pool. The location is great.

Lovely house in a quite area. Very nice and clean with ample room and (kitchen) equipment to make your stay comfortable. Kitchen is well equiped supplied with basic necessities such coffee, tea, spices etc. house is very spacious, 2nd bedroom has a smaller bed and no A/C, something to keep in mind. it was a good place for our final stay in Sri Lanka. Hiriketiya beach is a ten minute walk, so also easily reachable.

We had a great stay at Bandula’s villa! Bandula was so helpful and friendly. The place was clean and perfectly located. We would 100% stay here again if we came back to Sri Lanka

A beautifully designed house, directly on the sands of a lovely quiet beach. Perfect for swimming, surfing or snorkeling! Views of the ocean can be seen from every room in the house. Our highlights were afternoon drinks in the pool, and champagne in the hot tub of an evening. The house is immaculate, and the staff are so attentive. The chef is fantastic, best meals we’ve had in Sri Lanka! The house is walking distance to great restaurants, cafes and the very popular ‘Doctors House’. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Wir hatten eine richtig schöne Zeit in dieser schönen Unterkunft mit einer schöneren Aussicht! Die Unterkunft hatte alles was man braucht, wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten dort richtig abschalten! Die Aussicht war einfach traumhaft man konnte in den Sitzsäcken den Sonnenuntergang genießen und dem Wellenrauschen zuhören und den Surfern zusehen. Loku ist immer in der Nähe und hilft dir mit allem, er hat uns einen Roller besorgt und auch wenn wir Fragen wegen der Gegend hatten stand er uns immer zur Seite. Es war einfach alles top! Würden aufjedenfall wieder kommen, Danke! 💙

Villa vador is a a very special place, quiet and peaceful except for the lizards and monkeys… we took young children and it was very comfortable and Sasun and his team were very helpful.

Had a great stay at Dor’s place. The house was clean, cosy, close to the beach and restaurants, exactly as described. A few things to be aware of: - well documented but there is a drop from kitchen to living room which isn’t child friendly (we had a two year old with us and had to keep an eye on her but was fine) - the side street that that property is up doesn’t have the best drive way and was challenging with a travel pram (yoyo2). From the main road the walk is fine Neither of the above are major issues and none came as a surprise just things to be aware of.

Back in November, having just booked our flights to Sri Lanka, I stumbled across Lilypad this amazing looking place, just where we wanted to be, and a really great price. But no reviews. 😕. I feared this was one of those “too good to be true” experiences. However, thanks to Jamie & Angela’s communication, I learnt that the property was brand new. I tentatively booked watching with anticipation as reviews came in over the months before our trip. And they did, and they filled me with relief and excitement. Fast forward to today, we’ve just arrived home from an amazing trip around Sri Lanka with our 3 children (9, 12 & 14), and Lilypad was our stand out experience. The only negative that we only booked 4 nights. Jamie & Angela were super responsive throughout with great tips. Pamod on site was just fantastic and always on hand. And booking the local chef to come in one evening was just the best food we ate all trip. The best Airbnb experience, bar none. Thank you

Very clean place. Bfast was also good. Located across small beach and next to good restaurants. The bedrooms r downstairs and kitchen/living area upstairs which are connected by stairs from outside. Was a good spot to explore the Mirissa area from.

Great little oasis in Weligama, Ananda and his wife Malika were very hospitable. The unit was spacious and had all the amenities one could need, including washing machine, bicycle, cooking utensils, and even hot water in the shower. They also have a small convenience store attached to their home so anything you need is easily available. And especially enjoyed the breakfasts they kindly made for me during my short stay. Would have loved to stay longer if I had more time, hope to be back soon!

Pavi, Bathi and their family and friends are the loveliest of people, always ready to help or offer advice when needed. Our apartment was situated on the 2nd floor and was lovely, bedroom and bathroom bare very large as is the kitchen diner, if there was anything you needed Pavi got it sorted asap, the grounds are immaculate and have a plethora of wildlife wandering the grounds, the use of the swimming pool was a great addition. Polhena itself is situated in a great spot for travelling out from and has a wonderful little beach(it does get busy at weekends). Shops are in walking distance as is the main town of Matara or a short fun tuk tuk ride. Colombo and other places are easily accessible via buses or train, both a fun way to travel. We will be back.

This is our 2nd stay at Sha Villas by Ushaan. Overall, Five-star host and a brilliant apartment! Check in and check out is super easy, and Ushaan is a very communicative and thoughtful host. It is a beautiful , spacious place with great amenities. Immaculately clean and a very convenient location. We would book again for our next visit.

Wir hatten uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Die Lage ist ein Traum und es war sehr ruhig. Die Familie hat uns herzlich empfangen! Der eigene Balkon mit Ausblick auf Palmen ist wunderschön. Wir konnten dort auch Wäsche waschen und essen kochen. Wenn wir wieder in Matara sind, kommen wir wieder zu euch!🫶🏻

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich schön und sehr zentral gelegen. Die Gastgeberin Mathilda und ihre Haushälterin Ayomi waren überaus hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Ich kann die Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Zusammenfassend kann ich diese Unterkunft in Unawatuna, Sri Lanka, nur wärmstens empfehlen. Es war eine perfekte Kombination aus Komfort, Ruhe und natürlicher Schönheit. Die gehobene Ausstattung, die freundliche Unterstützung des Verwalters und die idyllische Lage machten meinen Aufenthalt unvergesslich. Ich habe mich nicht nur erholt, sondern auch neue Freunde in der Region gefunden und unvergessliche Erinnerungen geschaffen. Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach einem Ort sind, an dem Sie sich entspannen, die Schönheit von Sri Lanka genießen und gleichzeitig den Komfort eines hochwertigen Aufenthalts erleben können, dann ist diese Unterkunft genau das Richtige für Sie. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, eines Tages zurückzukehren und erneut in diesem kleinen Paradies zu verweilen. Es war eine Erfahrung, die ich nie vergessen werde, und ich bin dankbar für die wunderbaren Erinnerungen, die ich dort sammeln konnte.
