Relaxing Country Getaway- come hike or just R&R

This little slice of heaven is most definitely a hidden treasure! If you are lucky enough to come across it, you will not soon forget it. Experiencing and exploring this oasis was truly a pleasure. The serene setting is so inviting and calming. Hiking trails are magical, this coming from a true Tom Boy girl. :) I am full of gratitude to our hostesses for so generously sharing their retreat, to include home baked treats! Alma Mae and Diana are two of the most welcoming, warm and accommodating women you'll meet. They are as much of a pleasure as the property. If you're thinking about staying, treat yourself and make a reservation soon! You are certain not to be disappointed!

The place was absolutely beautiful and we felt very comfortable. Love the decor, and they had very good mattresses. Close to downtown and stores. We had a snow storm and Duane was out in the morning clearing the walkway and porch. Very sweet and most appreciated

Secluded cabin surrounded by nature

I was looking for a secluded getaway in the woods, and that's exactly what I got. Although you are close to a road, there's hardly any traffic. I just needed a place to rest and recharge in nature, and this was perfect. Kevin and Stephanie were extremely helpful when I arrived, and went out of their way to make me feel at home. I only stayed for a few nights, but I had bonfires both nights, and Kevin even offered to get the fires going for me. They live close by in case you need anything, but it's still very private where you are. I think this was the one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Whether you're a hiker, a hunter, or enjoy riding ATVs, this is the perfect place to stay with Wayne National Forest at your doorstep.

Milk House Cottage & Gardens

Let’s just say we will be back .. The Milk House was the most quaint little get away outside of Athens. It was Dads weekend (my first) and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The place was exactly as described and so much more. The only thing better are the super friendly owners. The little details and extras made my daughter’s weekend and the property was beautiful. Whenever I visit Athens this will be the first place I check for availability. Thank you Karen and Ken for making our first OU Dads weekend a memorable one!

Bea Happy Camper Cabin Burr Oak

This is such a cute little get away. Not only was it clean but it had everything that we needed. What was an extra bonus is that everyone that passes you on a walk that lives there waves at you which makes you feel very welcome. We would like to come back when we can use the lake as it's just a really short walk. I will recommend to my friends!

The house was exactly what we we're looking for, for a little getaway with a few friends. Some other comments mention a lot of deer heads and there sure were a lot of them, but they were nice and didn't cause any trouble during the stay.

Wabash Cabin

Thanks! We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Wabash cabin. The view is even more magnificent than the photos. A bit out of the way down some twisty roads, but that's what we were looking for. my husband and I really enjoyed riding the Triple Nickel, and the girls enjoyed the scenery and even roasted weenies and made smores without staring at cell phones. (Any parents of teens can appreciate that!) We absolutely will be back and look forward to booking our stay at Wabash again! Thanks Tom and Sharon!

Quaint, simple cottage near Appalachian Hills

The cottage home is lovely! It was the perfect size for our family & had everything we needed. The home is clean & very comfortable. The location was perfect for what we were in town for - everything was very close! Shannon was very responsive, friendly, and flexible with our plans. We would certainly recommend this place to others and would love the opportunity to visit again in the future.

Charming renovated cottage nestled in state park

Nathan was an amazing host! We planned a last minute trip and he worked with us to get the place ready for us and was quick at communicating with us! For a quick turn around on the cabin everything was clean and amazing! We will be back again when we can stay longer and plan ahead!
