The location was perfect for us since we are building a home nearby. We can't wait to be neighbors, living our best rural life. Terri has been very responsive and the place is comfortable and private, with incredible sunsets over the pond. Our days have been focused on getting our property cleared, so not much time for anything else, but hopefully one of these days we'll get to spend time exploring their farm, as we will definitely be back! Thank you for your hospitality!

Trish was a great host & the guest house was charming, extremely comfortable & clean. The kitchen & bathroom were stocked with lots of thoughtful extras. I enjoyed staying & had complete privacy & peace. I would always go back there if I was returning to the area. Thank you Trish!

The cabin was magical, mystic and wonderfully decorated, Lisa was excellent in anything we needed and responded asap, you need nothing but your clothes! She thought of everything imaginable, If i could give her 10 stars I WOULD, We had a wonderful time and definitely will be back, serene, peaceful, and you "Feel The Magic" if you believe! The decor outside is amazing as the cabin, so cozy we didn't want to leave... Felt like HOME.. thank you Lisa for everything, it's no wonder you have all 5 star reviews, I give you 100!!!!!! :) Thank you so much,for sharing your cabin with us, we felt honored <3 There is not one thing Lisa didn't think of in hosting her guests, amazing it was....Hot tub & fireplace was an extra bonus, HEAVEN!!! :) <3 Ty Ty Ty Deb,Bo & Duke :)

Our stay was nice. The host let us check in early, and was very nice. The house is within 10-15 minutes of a lot of restaurants and stores. It is set in nature and pretty peaceful. The windows provide a lot of natural light and beautiful views. We did have issues with the cleanliness, as there was still food in the freezer and fridge as well as things in the bathroom drawers, but chalked it up to a previous guest just forgetting about it. They were easily missed things. So, that was fine. The land around is beautiful and we saw a lot of deer. Our dogs enjoyed playing on the trails and tried to climb into the stream. The beds were okay and the internet worked pretty well. Check in and out was simple. If you're looking for a place in nature that is close to town, this is the place for you.

We visited Marengo for a wedding and had a wonderful time staying here! The home is so welcoming and comfortable. Brian and Sarah are also great hosts. Would definitely stay again!

I'm gonna start with it being a duplex because that's what made me hesitant in the beginning. you could not ask for a better neighbor. she is very quiet friendly and helpful. we honestly never knew she was there. Mr Darby the host was always quick to answer and very helpful for us. the house is 15 minutes from everything which is always a plus for us. and not to mention the giant 98" tv in the living room which is a huge GameDay plus for any man. this will definitely be our go to place when we are in the area.

Francisco’s place was nice! Everything matches the description and the photos. I had to be in the neighboring town of Edison for work, and since there are no hotels within a 15-20 mile radius, this was an obvious choice. It’s conveniently located in downtown Mt. Gilead which is a super cute little town. Not much to do around other than a couple of restaurants within walking distance, but I wasn’t expecting a lot of entertainment options in a town of 3,500 people. The apartment didn’t have warm water in the morning when I went to take a shower, but these things happen and Francisco took care of it quickly. While it wasn’t necessarily a bother to me, the noise from the street below may be an issue for some, so plan accordingly if you’re a light sleeper. I enjoyed the nice, large TV and the blend of old and new in the building and the ease of walkable dining options considering the town’s size. It was overall a good stay and I would recommend it for those spending time in Mt Gilead.

Our stay was amazing. Everything was as described and pictured. The room was clean and private with all the extra amenities and details needed to make the stay feel like home. Fireplace, coffee machine, large bathroom, and even a sound machine for sleep! Will stay here again and look forward to enjoying the patio in the warmer months to come.
