We loved our stay at this house! Spent two nights in Reykjavik and this was a great spot to walk to everything. Neighborhood felt safe, we let our teens walk home at night by themselves. House was adorable, everything as described and very comfortable. Loved the character and charm of an older home! Bjorn was responsive and I would stay here again. Thanks!

The luxury villa was all we could ask for and more. The location is fantastic right across from Kerid crater and easy access to all the hot spots. The villa is nicely appointed with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was magnificent! My only advice would be to allow the outside motion light the ability to be shut off. We woke up at midnight both nights to see the northern lights but the lights out front kept coming on. Would be great if they could be shut off for optimal viewing. Otherwise everything was fantastic and I highly recommend this villa!!

Loved it! The house is beautiful, and we loved the hot tub and bathrobes! It was a great home base for our vacation.

The barn house was beautifully built and decorated with spectacular views. The skylight windows were perfect for watching for the northern lights. The kitchen had all the basics and some extras like a nespresso machine and pods. We enjoyed cooking there and using the hot tub. The washer and dryer were super helpful. It was a great launching place for the Golden Circle. Stokkseyri is a cute little town with a great local pool. The turf house across the street was fun to explore as was the beach on the other side of the turf wall. It is very near Bakkahestar for highly recommended Icelandic horse rides with a local couple on the beach in Eyrarbakki. Nearby Selfoss has anything you need including an amazing fish market Fiskbud Suderlands for great prices on fresh caught local fish. Kristinn was very responsive and we loved our stay!

Wir haben uns sehr zu Hause gefühlt. Der Gastgeber hat sich toll um uns gekümmert. Wir haben die Wohnung sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Schade eigentlich, dass wir weg mussten. Wir wären gern noch mehrere Tage geblieben, da es eine Umgebung ist, in der man gerne länger ist.

Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

What’s an absolutely beautiful family home . We felt right at home here . so much that I didn’t want to come back home to England :( very spacious decorated lovely . It was the middle of winter and it was extremely warm for us as well. It was decorated beautifully with Christmas decorations and lots of treats left for us . Thankyou nothing was a problem . looked after the family Cat who was absolutely delightful And no trouble at all . Very close to everything supermarket round the corner, got everywhere very easy was really sad to leave. Would definitely love to come back one day. Thankyou so much xxx

What a wonderful place and in the perfect location for exploring the Golden Circle. The house was plenty big for the eight adults in our group, and we were all able to spread out, but also come together for meals and games. Although we didn’t use it, the hot tub was a great amenity. Our host was wonderful and very responsive when I contacted her with a question before booking and also when I needed to turn off the security system. We would highly recommend staying here.

Hrafn's home was a great place to stay for our first visit to Iceland. Centrally located in Reykjavik, just minutes from the downtown area.

Kjartan's Borgarnes Villa was everything we hoped it would be. The views were amazing, the lake access was enjoyed and the deck time was spectacular!

This was the best place we have ever stayed as a family. Sigurdurs place is beautiful with the most stunning view. The house is spacious and very warm and cosy. It is absolute heaven, the perfect escape to the countryside with a chance of seeing the northern lights over the lake. I would definitely recommend Sigurdur’s place to everyone. Sigurdur was an excellent host. His home was beautiful, very clean and we enjoyed the sauna and hot tub immensely. The house was well stocked and very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

AMAZING!!! Runar’s place was even better than we could have imagined. The Northern Lights were extremely visible to the naked eye 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. The back deck was lovely to watch Aurora dance in the sky. The furniture and bed (we only used 1 of the 4) were extremely clean and comfortable! To our surprise, the bathroom floor was heated, which was a lovely touch! We absolutely loved our stay here. It was extremely peaceful and secluded but also so close to town. We have already started talking coming back to Iceland and staying here again. It is the perfect home in the perfect location on the Golden Circle.

This rental is on the grounds of a beautiful, historic church, and also very old ancient church, museum and archeological dig! There is also a great farm to table restaurant on the grounds-we had delicious lamb and salmon, kombuchi too. The views are great also. Two large bathrooms. Bring your own shampoo and body soap. Hand soap was provided. Quiet. Comfy beds. Kitchen pans ok but minimal. This is a good location for day trips to Goosfalls, S. Region, and National Park with mid-Atlantic rift. We loved this place and would come back.

Absolutely fantastic stay! Everything you need, super super clean, comfortable and the northern lights were amazing to watch while in the hot tub. I would love to come back to this Airbnb.

What an incredible place to stay! We enjoyed the last part of our Iceland honeymoon at this home and it was so comfortable and beautiful. The views are amazing and the home is really inviting. The geothermal hot tub was my husband's favorite part, so relaxing and refreshing. I ended up catching a cold the last few days of our trip but couldn't even complain as it was such a nice place to rest and recover. The view of horses, mountains, and the sky from the bed was amazing. The fireplace had to be reset but they sent someone out within 30 minutes of us letting them know, and no further issues throughout our stay! Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

The location of this property couldn’t have been more perfect. Each day we were within an hours drive from major sights and activities including: thingvellir and silfra, gulfoss and geyser, Rejkavik, blue lagoon and seljalandsfoss. Selfoss is accessible and the geothermal park in hvererageroi was fab. The remoteness created the perfect conditions away from built up areas and we were thrilled to see the northern lights twice - viewing them from the hot tub made it feel even more special. House was tidy with everything we needed and just as described. Instructions to get there and responses from Gunhilder were excellent. We would thoroughly recommend this property for a self drive action packed Icelandic holiday.

This was our family's 4th trip to Iceland and this is by far our favorite place we've stayed at. Words cannot describe how beautiful the setting is. The views of the lake & mountains are absolutely amazing! The cabin is charming and has two large bay windows which provide spectacular views. We felt right at home here. When I had a question, Gudrun was quick to respond. We loved the location. It's private & tucked away in a beautiful area but only 25 minute drive from my friend's house in Mosfellbaer, a lovely town of approximately 15,000 people and has a grocery store and restaurants. The cabin is only a 45 minute drive from Reykjavik. The icing on the cake is that we got to see the northern lights from the cabin! I definitely plan on staying here again in the future.

Beautiful place, right in the heart of Golden Circle, short drive to some of the most beautiful places Iceland has to offer. Host went above and beyond what you would expect, and they left lovely gifts on all the beds for us. I consider it a privilege having stayed there with my family.

“The best air b&b we have stayed in”. The guesthouse we stayed in was perfect. The place is extremely clean and well thought out, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The personalised note inside upon check in was such a lovely touch. The hot tub is easy to use and the geothermal water is welcome after a long day of exploring Iceland. The views from the cabin are also breathtaking. Sabine is a great and responsive host, providing really detailed instructions before check in and getting back to queries quickly. We also both really enjoyed our walking tour with her wonderful horses today. Could not recommend this place enough, as my boyfriend said while staying there “I think this is the best air b&b we have ever stayed in”…I couldn’t agree more!!
