I came here in the dead of winter for a writer's retreat with a fellow writer- AND I WOULD DO IT AGAIN! It was a beautiful and inspiring place to write. Perched on Andover Lake, it was too cold to frolic outside but that was actually liberating. There was a rocking chair-ottoman combo in the master bedroom looking out on the lake and watching it freeze while I worked on some writing was so peaceful and perfect. When I needed to switch it up, there was a writer's desk with the same view and I can not overstate how nice and productive it was to work from it. I am sure in the summer it's a really fun stay (there were kayaks and a dock for swimming) but I actually loved being isolated in such an idyllic place. It's near a few other homes but the road was low traffic enough for a cold weather run around half the lake. Marcie was super helpful with suggestions for places to eat. We didn't actually use the recs - but that only speaks to how nice the house was and how hard it was to leave!

We had a great stay. The house was warm and inviting. Very peaceful and quiet. Plenty of room for the family. Very easy to get to and very close to downtown. I would highly recommend!!! Steve was very friendly and responsive to all our needs!

Henry’s place easily fit the needs of our group (three families with little kids) and had plenty of bedrooms for us to spread out between. We appreciated the large couch / living room area which was large enough for us all to comfortably sit. It’s a quick drive to the town of Kent which was very cute to explore (and lots of good places to eat!). We have friends in the area and would definitely book here again for a return trip. Check out was a breeze and we greatly appreciated not having a long list of to do items like other Airbnb’s.

A beautiful and charming place! The space was spotless and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. Everything was well-maintained, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The host was incredibly responsive and pleasant, making check-in and communication seamless. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Best Air bnb we've stayed at so far. House is spacious, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. we felt very welcomed with snacks and a stocked fridge. The layout was ideal for our two families to each have our own wing. We will try to stay here anytime we are in CT.

June’s place was a real gift for our relatively last minute college visiting trip with two pets! The cabin was comfortable, the setting was beautiful. Late night fire by the water under the stars was magical. June is a very proactive communicator and was helpful in planning our stay.

Our stay in West Haven, CT, was absolutely wonderful. The Airbnb was immaculate, well-furnished, and perfectly situated near a lovely beach. The cozy ambiance and thoughtful amenities, like fresh linens and a fully equipped kitchen, made us feel right at home. The outdoor space was a lovely bonus, providing a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The close proximity to the beach was a highlight of our trip, allowing us to enjoy morning walks and sunset views with ease. The location also offered convenient access to local attractions and dining options, making our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting West Haven for a relaxing and memorable getaway. Adam was a tremendous host!! We will be back for sure!

we rented La Spiaggia in December, and while it's mostly going to be more beautiful and better in the summer (since it's a beach house) it was still perfectly fine in the winter; well insulated and with good strong heaters. speaking of the beach I can't stress enough of how close this place is to the water; I'm talking literally ten steps to the sand. I would certainly recommend the place as a great summer getaway!
