A beautiful location on an old farm property in one of the prettiest parts of Maine. Carol and Richard were extremely responsive and are clearly committed to ensuring that their guests feel welcome. Locations like this are Air B&B at its best—interesting and generous hosts sharing their own corner of the world.

While I had a difficult time finding the cute little house on a dirt road in Lincolnville ME, it was definitely worth the effort. The studio is a large bright room in Victoria’s house with a gas burning stove in case the Maine nights get chilly even in late summer. The room even has a wine cooler as the charming host, Victoria, has a wine business. The no shoes policy is not a problem as I do that in my own house as well…. Sharing the bathroom and the kitchen worked out fine. The only difficulty is the spotty internet service for cell phone calls, texts and computers, but that is explained by being in the midst of tall trees in the Maine woods. The nearby area of Lincolnville Beach is a bit touristy but nice. Proximity to the picturesque towns of Camden, Rockport and Rockland is also a plus.

Had a delightful and relaxing stay. Loved all the interesting art & decor, it reminded me of stays in my grandparent's basement and all the carefully selected chapters of their lives on display. Hosts are friendly, gracious, and shared homemade cheesecake which was an absolute treat! Baked goods and pizza from Megunticook Market (awesome recommendation) made meals easy. Bed was comfortable and linens were soft and delightful, they even had a down throw, my cover of choice for sleeping and reading. I felt right at home but also experienced a getaway to a mountain cabin. Perfect! Wifi was strong and I was able to work easily. A wonderful area to walk in and convenient to Camden & Rockland. I will definitely return!

Our stay at the Captain Bennis House was fantastic. This house is conveniently located between Winter Harbor and Bar Harbor which was ideal for our trip. Dave and Carol were so friendly and gracious. The Captain Bennis House is chocked full of charm and is absolutely beautiful and the view to Frenchman's Bay was stunning. We would certainly stay here again and would also recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Carol and Andy

Daniel and Alianna were excellent hosts - being available if I needed anything but also allowing me to enjoy my own space and privacy too. It was a wonderful place to stay as I explored the beauty of Maine.

We had a great stay! Perfect location and exactly what we needed.

Our stay at Binna Burra has been simply amazing! Carol is funny and friendly and she made us feel at home form the first moment. The suite is an incredible space surrounded by nature, with wild animals walkin around and the best atmosphere for chilling and reconnect with nature. At night you can have a fully starred sky and breath the pure air of Maine. Really one of the best vacation I've ever had.

Truly could not have asked for better hosts than Sharon and Chris! The space was so accommodating, clean, and cozy. There was fresh coffee and tea available! The location is absolutely beautiful and both Sharon and Chris were super helpful with fun things to do in the area and great places to eat. The space was so comfortable, it felt like a separate, detached building entirely. We were visiting Camden for the film festival and my only regret was not being able to spend more time in the airbnb itself! I didn’t want to leave each morning. I will absolutely be coming up to Maine again soon just to stay in the garden apartment and cannot recommend it enough. Sharon and Chris were such a delight and the place felt like home.

Beautiful spot to rest! We spent most of our time in Acadia so didn’t check out the surroundings, but the town looked cute! About an hour drive from Acadia (in the fall).

Heathers place is an AMAZING place to stay if you're visiting Bar Harbor/Acadia. The space was quite literally spotless and Heather was an amazing host! Would absolutely recommend.

This stay far exceeded our expectations! The hospitality from Chris was unmatched and his home is beautiful! He met us on arrival, gave us a grand tour , and made us feel very welcome! The kitchen had everything needed and more, the fireplace cozy, bathroom spa-like, beds and linens comfortable, everything was great! Chris was very communicative and gave great recommendations of things to see. There was a nice assortment of breakfast items, fruit, a bottle of wine, and a great coffee bar! It felt like we were visiting friends or family! We rarely saw our housemates, but when we did they were lovely too and there was plenty of room in our shared spaces. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and hope to come back ourselves!

Please do yourself a favour and stay at this cabin! We loved every second of it and would have loved to stay longer. Zoe and Suzanne were absolutely amazing and made us feel immediately at home. The shoreline is right in front of the cabin and the scenery is beyond beautiful. There is just so much attention to detail, it’s just lovely.

This was the perfect stay! Carrie’s place was clean, adorable, thoughtfully outfitted, and just generally a space we looked forward to coming back to at the end of our days traveling around mid-coast Maine. The town of Thomaston is super cute and having a walkable grocery store and little cafe made our trip extra sweet. Carrie as a host was the best part. She is super accommodating, available, and kind. She offered to set up the Murphy bed for us when we were checking in after a super long drive and was really gracious when we had to cut our trip a little short unexpectedly. You can tell she’s put a lot of thought and care into her space and guest comfort. Truly an ideal host. We’re already looking forward to returning!

If you're traveling alone and looking for a cozy place to stay that's near Acadia and Bar Harbor, this is the place for you. It's private and peaceful, yet convenient to everything. The views across the street are amazing. (The pictures don't do it justice.) The hosts were communicative without being intrusive. I really can't recommend this place enough. A private entrance, off street parking, full kitchen, tons of books... What more can you ask for? I look forward to staying there again on my next trip to the area!

Simply perfect! Everything in the kitchen is new, in working order, extremely well-stocked. The home is clean and comfortable with amazing fine art everywhere. And the view! We couldn't get enough of the beauty, watching the Ospreys fishing, walking the little beach. Lots of hiking close-by. Rockland has great seafood market, bakery, bookstore. The Transportation Museum is excellent.

The bedroom and bathroom were clean and more spacious than pictured. The home was lovely, with trees and lots of bird feeders (and birds). Stephanie was welcoming—she made us feel like home and answered any questions we had. Her two dogs were adorable!

Tim and Joyce were warm, friendly, lovely hosts. They responded quickly to my requests and I enjoyed staying in the procrastatorium. It was also a real advantage to be able to charge my electric car at the AirBNB. I will definitely stay here again if my travels take me this way.

What a great location. Right in the heart of downtown within easy walking distance to the waterfront and local cafes and restaurants. Less than 10 minutes to the Camden Snow Bowl.

We love the location!! So close to Acadia National Park. We also loved the old feel of the house and the furniture that complemented that feel! David and Carol were great hosts, very responsive!! One thing that I think would be great would be if there was cream (liquid or powder) for coffee.

A large and lovely unit just as described. Just like visiting your aunt's upscale Midcoast home. First floor unit with nice sunroom and furnished patio out back. Kitchen includes everything you need plus some. Short, easy walk into center of Rockport and harbor.

A perfect place for a perfect stay in Maine. I can't praise Sue and Dale's place enough. It's spacious (perfect for four adults), beautifully decorated, clean and well-equipped, and the view really is as beautiful as all the reviews say. Sue met us personally, left a welcome gift for us, gave local recommendations and quickly responded to any questions I had. Honestly, I didn't want to leave and would gladly come back.
