We really enjoyed our stay, and it was nice finding a place that was actually dog friendly, especially in Alameda. The neighborhood is great for walks. The unit adjoins the host’s house on one side and I think another rental below, but it is quite quiet and private. We happened to meet the hosts outside one afternoon, and they’re extremely nice. Also: - Easy parking. - The bathroom has a bidet, if you prefer that. - Very comfortable bed. - Netflix and maybe prime tv? A couple tiny things to be aware of: - the stairway up to the rental is a tad narrow (just mentioning for accessibility). - the kitchen circuit breaker kept tripping, so the fridge was iffy, but it might have been due to rain, and host said they’d look into repairing. All in all, a great rental! Would stay again and would definitely recommend.

Our stay at Albina’s guest suite was very peaceful and a perfect place to rest our heads while exploring SF! Great location in a quiet neighborhood, walkable to local restaurants and cafés. About a 20 minute walk to Golden Gate Park. Lovely views of the ocean to watch the sunset, we used the firepit on the deck which was lovely! Albina was a kind and gracious host.

Great location on Santana Row with cafes and restaurants within a short walk. We only used the kitchen for breakfast. It was suitable for other meals, too. The two BRs and two BAs were useful. Note that the 3rd bed is upstairs next to the master. We enjoyed relaxing on the couch and watching TV.

This was definitely the best airbnb I've found in the area! The space was private and comfortable. Plenty of clean towels, toilet paper, and paper towels (a surprising annoyance of mine with stays other places!). Responsive host. Helpful instructions. Felt right at home in the space. Clean and tidy. Comfy bed, pillows (actually 4 of them, thank you!), and overall temperature of the apartment. Easy check-in and check-out. One thing to note is that it is conveniently located across from bart station, so there is some noise associated with that, but you ARE in the city, so there's that. It didn't really bother me, just something to note if you're a light sleeper (but the bed was so comfy, it didn't phase me much!). I stayed for 12 days, and it was perfect for my needs. I would definitely stay again! Thank you!!

This place is just fantastic. From check-in to check-out, everything was perfect. The host was responsive, communication was quick, and things were taken care of without any flaw. The location can't get any better. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay -- this will be our usual place to stay from now on whenever I visit Ames.

A true five (or six!) star experience. One of the best decorated Airbnb's I've ever stayed in. An older home with character, but renovated to have modern conveniences - high-end kitchen appliances, walk-in showers, and even high-tech toilets. It has a wonderful deck off the kitchen with flowering plants and lots of privacy. Terrific and responsive host who proactively made check-in easy and flexible. Location was fantastic. The neighborhood was great with good restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. Access to the rest of downtown SF was a breeze with Uber and Waymo (my father is in his 80s so we didn't try public transportation). My father and I loved our stay and it will be at the top of my list the next time I'm in SF. Perhaps the best overall Airbnb I've ever stayed in.

Michael’s airbnb was very convenient and had everything I needed for my stay. It’s within walking distance to restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, the Caltrain station, and the bus to Stanford campus. The neighborhood is also very quiet — perfect for getting rest. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay and glad to have booked this place for our first time in San Francisco. Place was clean with a good collection of books, location was beautiful, and really appreciate the tap for filtered drinking water.

Interior was spacious with a good heating system that us old travelers appreciate. Two level unit made it easy when one of the guests my want late morning sleep-in. The Mid Eastern carpets were a pleasant touch of home. Overall a comfortable place away from home.

An excellent place to stay. Quiet, private, clean, everything you need provided. You access the Airbnb through the garage door with a door code. Easy to do. Two blocks from the Golden Gate Park, easy access to bus lines (get a Clipper card in advance). Three blocks from a great breakfast restaurant/bakery. Reasonably close to good restaurants. Most of them have delivery. If we went to San Francisco again, we would get reservations at this Airbnb.

My friend and I were in town for Silicon Valley Reads and were instantly charmed by this listing's photos. Not only is this private in-law suite exactly as cute in real life, Ed and Toni were warm, welcoming, made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay and were always extremely responsive to messages. 10/10! Our stay at Carl’s place was fabulous!! We loved the area and the walkability was amazing. The Chase Center is down the street; it offers a beautifully designed green space right by the water. Carl was a delightful host and the unit was well appointed. We LOVED having Gus’s Community Market right next door. What a treasure!!! We will definitely return:)

Joelle and Sandra showed what a true superhost is. They are very friendly and responsive. They really pay attention to details (which I would not elaborate so other guests can find out themselves) to make your stay better. It is a great listing (two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a great living area) and my family of four had a wonderful stay there. I felt like a local resident. This is something hotels will not be able to provide. Strongly recommend it if it is within your budget.

Great little hideaway in a sunny part of the city, near to transportation and Golden Gate Park. Cozy spot to return to after a day exploring all SF has to offer. Be aware that the shower is over the sunken jacuzzi tub, so a big step down. Super helpful to have a good sized mini fridge and freezer as well as microwave to make breakfast or heat something from Gus’s (fancy local grocer) for a break from restaurant meals.

We had a great stay at this Airbnb! The place was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the essentials, including strong WiFi, parking, and bathroom amenities. The location made it easy to get into San Francisco while still having a quiet place to return to. Also great views and near to hiking. What really stood out, though, was the host’s incredible responsiveness. We had a lock issue during our stay, and they went above and beyond—driving an hour and a half to personally bring us a key to the side door to ensure we felt safe. That level of dedication and care made all the difference, and we truly appreciated it. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a convenient and well-hosted experience!

A charming Victorian tucked into a quiet, shaded residential street just minutes away from all the best the Mission District has to offer. On top of that, the vibe and decor is 100% that of the family home it looks like. The bookshelves filled with different people’s favorite books. The kitchen appliances are top-of-the-line and it has everything you need to feed a family if you need a break from exploring. When family came in for out of town with too many people to host in my condo, we decided to all pitch in and stay here together and we could not have been happier. Thank you so much for making this lovely home available to us.

I had a great stay at the listing. The club on the top floor was extremely luxury. I only felt that the hotel can do daily cleaning of the room instead of only once during my complete stay.

Cory's quiet cottage was in a perfect location - steps from Castro street shops, restaurants and transit. Getting into the unit was a breeze - It was restful and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The thoughtfully decorated unit had lots of extra touches, including big-screen TV, full sized washer-dryer, double shower, and the luxury of a hot tub at the end of the day! We look forward to staying at Cory's place on our next trip to SF.
