This was a perfect place to stay in Hilo. It is near the old downtown and the famous Hilo market. The apartment has many artistic touches which makes it very homey. Anthony had lots of recommendations about where to eat and what to see. We really enjoyed Hilo and the area surrounding it. Take the drive up to the Mauna Kea Visitor Center for sunset--so worth it. As others have noted, the ceilings are low so if you are tall, look for another place. This wasn't a problem for us.

everything was great. very friendly and helpful. having a washer and dryer right next to us was a plus. close to lots of food and beaches. anywhere from 15 min away to an hour away you choose!!

Die Unterkunft war genau wie beschrieben und sehr sauber. Rhonda war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie hat bei Fragen sehr schnell reagiert. Kaffee und gefiltertes Wasser wurden von Rhonda zur Verfügung gestellt. Außerdem war es eines der wenigen Airbnbs, bei denen genügend Handtücher vorhanden waren. AMAZING HOUSE !! Had 5 people stay with me and each of us felt comfortable and relaxed with the amount of space there was. Highly recommended anyone needing a place to stay with groups.

Perfect location to have a vacation: close to volcano national park and Hilo beach. Vey quiet home with a lot of space. We really enjoyed it.

i will remember my Hilo experience forever because of your house! It’s like living in heaven! Love the birds singing! (I never heard bird sounds like this, it has echoes! Want to know the name of the bird;). The modeling of the living area is impressive! Finally want to give extra star to the hot tub! It’s amazing to enjoy it especially when it’s raining! I’ll def come back!!

Amazing location and great hosts! Had a great time at Kathy's place - perfect spot to explore the east side of the island. It's close to downtown Hilo, and both Volcano National park and Mauna Kea are a little over 30 minutes away. Would definitely consider again. One word of caution, sensitive sleepers should bring earplugs - the house is in a residential area with plenty of wild chickens. They can get loud in the morning.

You really get a good feel of what it would be like to live on the island staying at this Airbnb. It’s more like you’re in a neighborhood. It takes a few minutes to get anywhere, but it’s absolutely gorgeous and the side of the island has a lot to do outside. Down South We really enjoyed the lava tubes, the black sandy beach, and all the waterfalls and hiking that you could do up north in Hilo. To enjoy the north east and south east part of the island. This is a perfect house.

Lucky to grab this location for a few days. Accommodations were great for three parties of folks. Especially great one couple could bring their dog. Unfortunately, we missed the volcano eruptions, which started the day we checked out for home. They seemed to have everything you might need and super cozy, including the reclining couch sections were comfortable enough to sleep in!!

Terrific value, great location (easy 5 minute walk to now almoust famous Sunday drum circle) and a lanai with a view of the Big Blue ocean. You can nowadays find luxe places in the area with lovely gardens and designer soaps and Ka’u coffee to greet you, but you’ll pay more if that’s what you need. I’ve done them all, but keep returning to Dawana and Andy’s for my extended stays. The area is “off the beaten path” so exploring the island means a lot of long drives. However if you simply enjoy being where you are, you’ve hit the value jackpot. I am certain to be back!

I love how the place was decorated of the Star Wars theme. My boys are huge fans of the franchise. The kids had lots of fun seeing all the decor, playing with toys, and adults played the board games. The house was very spacious for a group of 11 of us. The house is cool because the lava burned down the house next door and there are steam vents now in front and all around the property making it look like a land from Star Wars. There was A/C in the home which was great because it can get warm and humid sometimes. There was still hair in the shower in the main bedroom but I think it’s because the hosts maybe live there and it was booked last minute. The host greeted us and showed us the place quickly and they made sure we had everything we needed. The house was pricey but super cool for one night and worth it to see my boys nerd-out for one night and just be in awe with all the cool decor.

Megan’s place, with 3 different living areas and a common space on the second level, makes it unique and user friendly! Our son, daughter-in-law and 7 month-old baby were with us. The downstairs worked well for the 3 of them; it is like its own living space with a “play room” to go with the bedroom and spacious bathroom. The ping pong table right outside the slider made it even more fun! The yard is spacious and very well maintained. We loved the upstairs as well with it’s very large deck and expansive views both inland and all the way out to the ocean. The beach toys AND reef shoes especially were awesome additions as many beaches are a bit rocky. (Not all). Everything was wonderful; a beautiful home conveniently located near downtown Hilo!

I loved her house. Sabrina was very responsive and helpful. We had family there to get her and it was a perfect gathering spot. I hope to bring my family again to visit our auntie. Mahalo Sabrina

Awesome place and responsive host. Right on Carl Smith Beach Park, which is beautiful. Balcony is screened which cuts down on bugs, place and was super clean with thoughtful beach supplies that made our stay much more comfortable.

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

My fiancé and I stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it. The water view was outstanding — we found ourselves just sitting and soaking it all in. The location is perfect, close to everything in Hilo, yet peaceful and relaxing. The space had everything we needed in one place, making our stay super convenient and comfortable. Honestly, I wish we had found this gem sooner — it’s hands down the best place we’ve stayed at in Hilo. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Lovely and spacious for my 3 month stay for work. All the amenities that I needed for cooking and cleaning, communal laundry in bldg, good wifi coverage. Safe and walkable to downtown which I loved. Small amount of noise with neighbours and ants/insects which are expected to some degree being in an apt bldg, in the tropics. I would definitely stay there again:)

This place was great! We loved the mini-split AC. It was quiet and kept the place cool. The kitchen's Viking cookware and Pyrex bakeware came in handy when we didn't want to eat out. Parking was easy, and the walk to the unit was short. We would love to come back!

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb accommodations. This condo is the best. It it's perfect for one or two people it they aren't sharing beds. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. I have been here multiple times and I am very comfortable here. Restaurants, market, and beaches are close and easy to access. I love staying here. Thank you!

Hosts were great, condo is exactly as described. We really enjoyed hearing the frogs and the stream next to the property!
