Review for Mooiplaats: What a lovely, little farm getaway. Bea and her husband, Wim, are amazing hosts and great people. The BnB is fitted with all you need to enjoy a peaceful and lovely time. Surrounded by the sounds of the farm at night, the little farm house is private and perfect. They also have their own butchery with the best bacon ever! I would highly recommend this gem to anyone with an appreciation of farmstyle living. The surrounding area also has an amazing "Melkery". So between lovely cheeses and great meat, you are sorted. And for R75pp, lovely Bea might organise a tasty farmhouse breakfast... 5/5.

The River Lodge is everything you need if you are looking to spend time in nature. Home is comfortable and has everything you need. What makes it exceptional is the outside area. High clearance vehicle is advised if you want to explore the farm. Trevor is very responsive and George on site is a gem. Cellphone reception is also good.

Beautiful setting and surroundings. Lovely experience with the wildlife right at your front door. Kruger National Park only a short drive away. Very good value for money.

We had a lovely stay. A home away from home. The cottage has everything you need, comfy beds and quality bedding. Walk everywhere you want, no need for a vehicle. I will definitely stay at Cabin and Cottage again and rate this place highly. Peaceful and quiet surroundings.

Such a lovely house. So much character and charm. The pictures don't do it justice. Really enjoyed our visit there, will definitely be recommending it to friends and family.

I stayed at Stoney Brooke for 3 months, all my needs where met, they are very accomodating, I loved staying there, the peace and quiet is very good for the soul. I will stay there again next year.

Tamar and her partner Mark have created a lush paradise within their compound. They have a beautiful and bountiful garden that provided us with fresh fruits and vegetables, the accommodations are exactly as pictured in the photos, and the whole experience was delightful. I went on an all-day excursion/hike with their artist son Simon to look at rock art, which was fascinating. And we also enjoyed taking a peek at the operations of The Artist’s Press. This was a great place to rest for a few days after our long journey from the United States, and also after our 4-day excursion to Kruger. We highly recommend it. The only word of caution is that arriving at night can feel challenging, but Simon’s directions and google maps got us there without a hitch.

An absolutely fantastic getaway! The Bungalow exceeded all expectations and provided the perfect escape from the city. The natural hot spring was undoubtedly the highlight—soaking in the 50°C mineral-rich water under the stars was an unforgettable experience. The property is beautifully secluded, offering complete privacy with stunning riverfront views, mountain scenery, and an abundance of birdlife. It’s the ideal place to relax, disconnect, and enjoy nature at its finest. The bungalow itself has a unique rustic Mediterranean-African charm, blending effortlessly with the natural surroundings. The braai and pizza oven were great additions, making outdoor cooking a pleasure. We also appreciated the fast WiFi, which worked even when there were temporary power trips (to clarify—there was no load shedding during our stay). A standout experience was the magical three-course meal Schalk arranged for us atop one of the nearby mountains.

We had an amazing stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as advertised. Everything we needed was available, and the location was peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Communication was smooth and responses were quick, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot we’d love to return to. Highly recommended!🙌🏾😌

A wonderful, special place to stay. The house was absolutely perfect, very well designed and the outside space with the pool was exceptional. We had so many four legged visitors, the kids loved it. Four on suite bathrooms was a bonus for a family of 8 !! Thank you for a magical stay.

Jess was a great host, very warm, friendly and responsive. The country house was very spacious, clean, inviting, modern, peaceful and it was close to the shopping center. it was like home away from home. The cleaning staff was also very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a place to get away from the busyness this is definitely the place to be. We would definitely visit the country house again

We had a lovely weekend with friends at Hackle lodge. Everything was perfect and the peace and quiet was just what we needed. Angela is a lovely host who communicated easily and we knew exactly the procedure to follow with arrival/departure, even down to road conditions. Angela was very helpful and just a kind host. Very nice and clean. The house is located in a very beautiful and quiet part of nearby Pretoria. Madeleine is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

We really loved our stay. The house is clean & spacious, great amenities and fresh linen & awesome coffee machine. Sindy that comes in daily was a bonus. The games room was good entertainment for the kids! Very convenient to have a well equipped upstairs braai room, especially on the rainy days. I will surely recommend this house!

The reception staff was absolutely wonderful. Mr. Ayn was helpful and had a nice personality and was available around the clock. The place met all requirements, in addition to the fact that the place was very beautiful, the nature was stunning, and the accommodation was very comfortable. The farm is a little piece of heaven and the house is absolutely beautiful and well equipped. Talitha’s communication pre arrival to Tommy and Prince looking after all our needs, it was a a wonderful holiday and my family had the best time. The picnic was great and the Tommy made our game drive special.

We stayed in the treehouse (unit 5), (2 adults and a toddler). It was fantastic, surrounded by glass, minimalistic yet accommodated all our needs. Feels like you are staying in a jungle as you are surrounded by trees, and weirdly enough we don’t have a bug problem. Loved the shower! Definitely will visit again as I adored this tastefully designed treehouse, my toddler loved it as well, he didn’t want to leave. thank you Marco and Louisa!
