We had a refreshing stay at this charming lake cottage nestled on the banks of Lake Malone in rural Kentucky. Although the weather was cold and the wind constant and biting, we still made the most of our time—enjoying home-cooked meals around the beautiful farmhouse-style bench table and unwinding in the evenings watching streaming movies by the warm electric fireplace. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked with everything we needed, including a large coffee pot and a Keurig, an air fryer, crock pot, multi-cooker, microwave, dishwasher, plenty of pots and pans, and all the essential tableware. When the weather allowed, our dogs had a blast exploring the lake’s edge while my husband fished off the dock. Toward the end of our stay, the skies finally cleared, and we took a trip to Elkton, visited with the Twigg family, and walked the scenic trails at Lake Monroe State Park. Despite the chilly week, this truly felt like a home away from home. We’d absolutely love to return one day.

Despite the rainy weather during our two-day stay, our time at Heather’s place in Kentucky was great. The place was clean, well-maintained, and had plenty of indoor activities to keep the whole family entertained. It was a cozy, comfortable space, and we appreciated how well-equipped it was. Even with the rain, it was a relaxing and enjoyable getaway, and we'd definitely consider returning.

This place was amazing! We loved the location and the lake nearby, especially the dock. The porch and fire pit made the stay super relaxing and cozy. Marcena was a great host and we’d love to stay again!

So let me tell yall…. Do not be late driving there at night lol because of the road being small and nature surrounds it. And don’t go in the snow unless you know you staying til it melts and you not driving a sport car. But to speak highly of the host Josh!!! Very attentive and when I say made sure our stay was Amazing!! I asked for a small simple favor for my hubby birthday and He made that happen!!! His place is exactly as described with all extra activities and all. But unfortunately, the weather permitted us from using it. It was definitely a home away from home coming here! From the first appearance, entry upon the home and the bed!!! I thought I would have some friends come celebrate with us but it was ok. We slept so peacefully! The bed was extremely comfortable!! This home had everything needed to enjoy our stay! Will we be back??? ABSOLUTELY!!!!! Josh kept in touch from the day before until check out! I wish I could 2000 stars because he was concerned about our safety leaving

The treehouse was a perfect getaway for my husband and I’s 8th anniversary. The place was immaculate, beautiful and just as described in the listing. Wilson was quick to respond, very accommodating and helpful. We had an issue with the tub on our last night there and he was fast to respond and had multiple ideas on how to fix the issue. There aren’t many places really close by, but that was kind of our reasoning for picking this treehouse. There was one restaurant, Shady Cliff, with really friendly staff and we enjoyed Monday night karaoke with the locals. Only downsides I would mention: lots of new build construction that was loud with the big garage door open (nothing owners can do about that though). And the road getting to the drive is very steep and rough. It took 2 attempts to get out in our car. (Not a deal breaker. But good to know in case you have a small vehicle) Overall, great place. Would 100% stay again and refer friends!

We love staying at the Funky Bean! Beautiful setting and very peaceful. Enjoyed sitting on the patio, drinking great coffee, and hiking the nearby trails. It is very remote so make sure you bring all the food you need. The one restaurant on the lake has an even more limited menu than ever and they raised the prices a lot since last year and took several favorites off the menu. Not really worth the money anymore. I’d just bring enough to eat in and we also drove into Bowling Green twice for meals. Charlotte’s place is well stocked with all your daily needs above and beyond most places we have stayed. She thinks of everything! Always clean and comfy beds and plenty of areas to lounge around. Thanks again for a wonderful trip! Can’t wait to return!

This was a fantastic Airbnb! The place was impeccably clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay once again. My family returned for a second visit to Wendy's listing almost a year later to the day. This time the weather was impacted by a tropical storm "Francine" and the local event we had hoped for was cancelled. Wendy and Steve were so kind as to keep the pontoon rental we hoped for available for us if the weather turned and we were able to get a day in on the lake. Even experiencing a power outage our hosts reached out to us checking in on us and ensuring we were alright and if we needed anything, As they say, "you can always pick your dates, but you can never pick your weather". That said, our family still enjoyed our time once again. All possible by a great location the property has on the lake, big space allowed us to feel really comfortable when kept inside and our gracious, kind and thoughtful hosts.

Beautiful and clean lake cabin with all the comforts of home. The cabin had lots of thoughtful touches like family room blankets, plenty of hooks for swim suits / towels, life jackets, games and sound machines. Great location for scenic views and lake activities . We also enjoyed taking day trips to both Bowling Green / Mammoth Caves and Nashville. We loved our family spring break trip to Hot Tub Haven. Thanks Sara for being a great host and ensuring we had a great trip.
