My family had a wonderful stay at The Barn. Alison and Ross are lovely hosts and very helpful with clear instructions. The property is great and comfortable for about 7-8 people with all bedrooms on level 1 (upstairs) and 2 bathrooms downstairs. Great size indoor living and outdoor bbq area, including a fire pit for cool evenings, and the paddocks surrounding the property have some friendly rams. You also get to see heaps of kangaroos in the morning and around sunset. Clean and comfortable property and I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Healesville. Only thing missing were some extra bathroom amenities (toilettries) proportionate to 7-8 people staying but I’m sure if you request Alison and Ross they will ensure to make it available for your stay! A beautiful home, photos don’t do it justice. Peaceful , relaxing and beautiful decorated. Comfortable with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Suitable for couples and families. We couldn’t have asked for more over the long weekend. Luci and Duncan are a great hosts, super responsive to my messages. Had a great conversation with them. I will never forget the sunrise we witnessed here, right over the mountain ranges, was nothing less than a spectacle! We got to see the kangaroos and cattle around the property, the kids loved it! We will be back here during winter. Thanks so much for everything Luci.

Diane’s bed and breakfast is the perfect get away for some family downtime. You’re nestled amongst rolling hills with views of the mountains and surrounded by nature. The home itself has everything you need and Diane is beyond a lovely host. She gives you your privacy, allows you to wonder on her property but is also happy to take you/the whole family out on her property do things involving the animals. It was such a wholesome experience for both my boys and myself. Diane reminded me of my own family, I felt ease whilst staying there over a long weekend. Thank you once again Di!

Beautiful property and made to feel right at home . The extra special touches like a baked cake on arrival and fresh homemade bread and bacon and eggs for breakfast was so personably . The house was clean and welcoming. Loved the friendly dogs, the bird life and gorgeous horses. We will most definitely be back again with hopefully a longer stay. Thank you Jacky & Tony

Great location being close to Bendigo but also far enough away that it was peaceful.

Thanks for having us! We had such a wonderful time! The place is well-furnished, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed. Our toddler had an amazing time exploring the farm, interacting with the animals, picking fresh strawberries and veg, and enjoying fresh eggs for breakfast. It was such a lovely getaway and farm experience for our family including our dog. :) We would highly recommend!

It was a delightful retreat, incredibly tranquil, and we were warmly welcomed by two adorable cats. I would absolutely return for another stay.

We stayed one night as we were traveling though. The cabin was compact but comfortable and had all the essentials. The sanctuary is absolutely amazing and the animals were incredible. You have to visit Ray the ostrich and see him dance. So awesome. At first we were a little wary of the huge free ranging turkey but after getting to know him, we became best friends, and he followed us around the farm acting as our tour guide! He is a beautiful creature. We love Tommy the friendly turkey :D there's also a vast range of other impressive animals like camels and Canadian elks. It's like having a zoo all to yourself. We appreciated the late check out so we had time to enjoy the farm in the morning before we left. We met one of the hosts who was very welcoming and showed us around, it was great to hear some of the stories behind these animal rescues. You can see these animals get a lot of love and live happy lives here. Great place and hope to be back one day.

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay. Star gazing in the hot tub was our highlight. Would recommended it for anyone who loves the farm and being with nature. We saw alpacas and kanagaroos in the backyard. Very high quality kitchenware when cooking up a storm. Great night sleep, the mattress and pillows were comfy! Only feedback is to have entrance lights/driveway lights to the cottages. Note, we arrived quite late in the dark. Otherwise, loved the experience!

We booked Paramoor because I was looking to find somewhere similar to my childhood home - and I was successful. We were surrounded by beautiful gums. We loved all the birds (black cockatoos, kookaburras, wrens, corellas and best of all, the hens (who looked like they were straight out of an Aardman movie). The cabin was lovely – a perfect hideaway that was rustic but had every modern convenience you might need. There was a wood fire and enough wood for the entire weekend. We roamed through paddocks, meeting kangaroos, as well as their friendly horses and sheep. We enjoyed a wine tasting and had an amazing dinner in Kyneton at Midnight Starling. Lunch the next day at Little Swallow Café. We drove back to Melbourne feeling refreshed but would have preferred to stay longer. Our hosts were helpful, informative and very genuine in their enthusiasm for their business. I highly recommend.

I was so satisfied. The accommodation was comfortable, cozy and clean. I went to spend a good time with my family and I was able to make unforgettable memories. It was a place where I could spend a perfect day with my family. I was so touched that the host even prepared a present for my family's special day. The breakfast was so delicious. It was a perfect place.

Spending the weekend in the Honeysuckle cottage was lovely. The cottage is very well designed. Although it’s cold at night there are plenty of heaters and blankets to ensure it’s cozy. We had a really great experience and would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Looking forward to our next stay :)

This house had everything we needed for 3 friends to have a weekend in the Barossa - the main bathroom was huge and the beds were particularly comfy. It was a great base to walk to restaurants on the main street of Tanunda, and an easy drive to some lovely wineries. The alpacas were a bonus and cute company to have at the side of the yard.

Angelika was a fantastic host, and the place was perfect - as described and seen in the photos. Clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Would be happy to stay again

We absolutely loved our one night stay. So very peaceful & quaint. Thoroughly enjoyed reading all about the history of family life & about the property itself. Looking out on the rock with a glass of wine on a glorious sunset was a just divine.

We had an amazing stay at Frans place! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect—close to wineries and amneties , yet quiet enough for a peaceful retreat. Fran was incredibly kind and responsive, providing great recommendations and making sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. This is a fabulous place. Exactly what we needed fter 5 days of Christmas socialising. Wineries, beautiful valley and river on the property. with swimming hole. Lovely italian couple and the house was full of everything you could want. Very cool inside the house on hot days and big eat in kitchen with excellemt fridge with ice maker and cold water. Best place ive been to relax and unwind. Thanks Marco and Gina. We will be back

Lovely house, very secluded and comfortable. The dogs especially enjoyed the spacious backyard (note it’s not fully fenced).

Lovely stay that did exactly what we needed to with separate rooms and for travelling with a large car and trailer, super easy to park in spacious surrounds. Two minutes out onto the motorway into the city, so a good location too if you don’t need to be right in the middle of town and are self sufficient for food. Although the Keilor hotel wasn’t far for a beer and nice feed. Good stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lunar Lodge! The setting was peaceful and beautiful, and we instantly felt at home. The real highlight was the incredible animals—the affectionate and funny chickens had us laughing, and the peacock with its babies was just magical to see. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Tegan was a fantastic host, making sure we had everything we needed while giving us the perfect balance of privacy and warmth. We can’t wait to come back again in the future!
