Thank you guys for being awesome hosts! The house was exactly what we needed for our work trip. Beautiful scenery and cute "cottage feel" home. It snowed the whole time we were there and the neighbors kept the driveway clear for us, super friendly people!

Nice little cabin, just a block from the water. The inside was clean and tidy. It rained one day on our stay so we stayed in and started a fire in the fireplace. Very peaceful. No issues with anything at all! The lake was nice and not too busy but it is connected to Lake Michigan so you get some bigger boats out there. It’s only 35 minutes to Silver Lake, so we went there for a day as well. Good location from Chicago!

We loved our stay at Daniel's cabins and will definitely come back. We were really pleased with how clean our cabin was and how helpful Daniel was. We enjoyed the little beach, dock, and rowboats and caught a few fish. There was more provided than listed too. Thanks for a great stay, Daniel!

cozy cabin on the Lakeshore! this was a perfect little spot to spend a few days while in the area. about a half hour from silver Lake, as well. loved the private beach access!

We had such a wonderful time at Heather’s cottage!! This is the second time we have stayed at her place and hope to return!! They thought of everything to make it a very comfortable, relaxing, and fun vacation home! Thank you!!

There was a slight hiccup with our reservation but Daniel graciously accommodated us anyway, for which we were very grateful. We loved being on the water and watching the sunset. We also enjoyed exploring the area. It was a great trip. Thanks, Daniel!

The host Daniel is exceptional. Very friendly and responsive. The kinda host you wouldn't mind inviting in. When I sent a message his response was immediate. Please understand the type of stay you are booking. It is a cabin stay. As such, it meets and exceeds expectations for a place where your dogs are welcome and you can relax. The lake is a very short walk and in view. The beds were comfortable and clean. All the cabin is as clean as a stay of this type should be. The couch was actually more comfortable than 90 percent of other home stays I have done and I have done a few. I was there to rest from a 12 hr drive but noticed another large family enjoying the firepit and games in the rec area. Priceless time for them I'm sure. Excellent host and stay.

This was our second time visiting Grandma’s House and we will be back! I highly recommend this house for families. There is so much to do to keep kids of all ages occupied. The nice layout of the house accommodated the multiple families who were with us. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for food prep and serving. Mike is very responsive to any questions. It’s great!

Mary's property is absolutely gorgeous! The property has a main home with a dog - even though we love dogs and wanted to say hello, they were very respectful and kept the dog around the main area, so as not to bother us. They have various cabins on the property, and ours was right on the water, near the shed with all the games and supplies, and the fire pit. There are grills, and Mary includes supplies in case you forgot something - like sunscreen or bug spray. There's also charcoal, grilling utensils, and wood for a fire. You have access to their MASSIVE collection of their non-motorized water activities - including rafts, tubes, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, row boat, and more. The cabin is perfect - there's an outdoor screened in area, plenty of seating space, a full kitchen with the basics for cooking, and all the appliances in our building were this cute vintage style and light blue color. The beds were comfortable, the place was very clean, and it exceeded expectations. The lake is stunning, and the water was surprisingly pleasant for a mid-September visit. We came for my birthday and were absolutely in love with this property. Thank you so much for a fantastic visit. We hope to come back next year!!

We need an escape from the city- something just a little off the grid. Perfect little retreat! Cottage had everything we needed (even a round pizza dish) and didnt have the things we wanted to avoid (TV). We were hoping to catch the fall foliage but leaves were still green. But the cottage was right there under all of the trees with a perfect view of the lake.

We will definitely stay here again, it was the perfect location for my sons MTB. But also a great place to just go too, the lake was gorgeous, the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Mary was there if we needed anything. We can't wait to come back.

I would live there permanently if I could. Cottage #1, right on the water, you could watch the beautiful sunset, so peaceful, crystal clear water, kayaks provided, retro decor, i absolutely loved it.

Loved, loved, loved this house & the location! Beautiful view of Lake Michigan from the front porches (top & bottom). Neighborhood is wonderful for walking on the beach, close to the channel and close to the Deck. (The Deck is great for a fun evening of live music & eats!) The house had everything we needed. Loved the decor & cozy touches (lots of throw blankets for curling up when it’s cool!). The downstairs bedroom with two queen beds & a loft bed & a large tv was terrific for a late night family hang-out after the Deck but not wanting to miss our team playing college football. This house truly deserves its 5-star rating. Everything about it hit the mark & Taylor is a very responsive host. We would definitely stay here again!

We wanted a cozy winter get away and very much enjoyed sitting by the fire, watching the ever changing Lake Michigan view. Very comfortable home, easy drive to town, it was hard to leave!

Beautiful location right on one of the cleanest lakes I have seen. House is well laid out and very clean with all the amenities, including a fully stocked kitchen. Very pleasant area with friendly neighbors. John(the owner) was great and very generous. He stopped by and told us a bunch of things to do in the surrounding area which made our trip a lot more fun.

We had a wonderful time and the house was comfortable with great amenities and a beautiful view. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! Loved the extra fridge downstairs for easy access to our drinks while enjoying the massive 2 level decking. Sunsets were spectacular. We sure appreciated the sand area connected to the deck that kept the littles entertained and within eyeshot. We were surprised at how short a walk it was to the expansive beautiful beaches on either side of the house. And special thanks to the wagon left for us to haul our stuff for our day at those beaches! We golfed at a couple of great courses just minutes away. Highly recommend to any family looking for a perfect lakefront beach house that will make memories for a lifetime. We hope to come back again and thank Dawn for being a perfect host

This house was just as great as the pictures. We enjoyed watching sunsets from the deck and taking in the lake views all day long. The neighborhood is very private and quiet. Also the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. As we were traveling with 2 children under the age of 2, we enjoyed having the baby equipment available. The baby gates were very necessary with all the stairs. Jamie was very responsive and easy to work with. You will not be disappointed in this rental.

Our stay at Sarah's place was fantastic. Location in the high dunes overlooking Lake Michigan was phenomenal! Decor & vibe of the house was beach themed and we felt right at home from the moment we walked through the door. We took full advantage of expansive outside eating options eating meals & doing happy hour overlooking the shore line. She had numerous fun water activity options including kayaks, float, & beach chairs. We were in the water every day taking advantage of the fresh water (we are used to salt water since we live near an ocean). Amenities in the house were top notch with every possible kitchen utensil you would ever need. We were in town for a family wedding & had 6 family members who had flown in from Boston & LA which was an easy drive from GRR. There was plenty of room for us all to spread out & feel comfortable yet excellent hang out spaces so we could be together as a family. We would love to come back & we highly recommend Sarah's home as she was an awesome host!

Just spent a wonderful five days on the lake with my family, my cousin, and her family. Our stay was 99% perfect! The house, the property, and the view are all stunning. Pictures in the listing are right on point. Literally the ONLY flaw in our stay is that the grill was positively filthy when we showed up, and I never received a response from the host when I texted him about it. We were afraid to start it with the amount of grease in there — it was a fire hazard. We would have enjoyed grilling, but it was not that big of a deal in the end; everything else was absolutely perfect. The 144 stairs down to the beach are a bear coming back up, but so worth it! We thoroughly enjoyed our coffees on the deck overlooking the lake every morning. The towns of Montague and Whitehall have some cute shopping and dining spots, and we enjoyed going to lots of local spots. The weather was a tad chilly while we were there, but card games helped keep the kids busy, and we even added an Uno deck to the closet where the games are kept. All in all, Mark’s place on the lake is definitely worth a return visit!
