We had a wonderful stay at Mulag House. Amanda was an amazing host: the check-in was uncomplicated, she always responded quickly and had many great recommendations. The place itself is spectacular! You get to stay right next to the loch and can take a walk around it's shores. The breakfast that is included with the room was absolutely delicious. We had an amazing time and felt right at home. Would go again anytime.

Fiona en Richard zijn super vriendelijke mensen waarbij je je heel snel op je gemak voelt. Richard kookt smorgens een heerlijk ontbijtje. De bedden zijn zaalig. Het uitzicht fantastisch ! Kortom ; alles klopte.

Isabella è una signora dolce e gentile, sempre disponibile ma discreta. La camera era pulita e ordinata, l'abbondante colazione è un plus che non tutti offrono! Alloggio super consigliato

Nossa estadia, ainda que curta, foi maravilhosa. O quarto é grande, muito aconchegante, tem todo o necessário e uma vista linda. A Aileen é super atenciosa e muito prestativa. Recomendo fortemente essa acomodação para quem estiver visitando a Ilha de Skye :D

Nous avons passé un incroyable séjour chez Fiona. Son mari et elle sont des gens extrêmement accueillants. L’espace qui nous est dédié dans leur maison est spacieux avec une bonne literie, une salle de bain optimisée et un petit déjeuner quotidien. L’emplacement a seulement quelques minutes de Portree en fait un lieu très accessible, et très bien placé sur l’île de Skye. Je recommande +++

A true home from home with everything you need including things you hadn’t thought about. A house all by itself at the side of the main road to Tarbert. I say main road but so few cars use it that you’d never know it. I had plenty of space, a large comfortable bed in a big room with en suite. Lovely towels and bed linen. Having my own well appointed lounge was wonderful. The kitchen was accessed easily from the lounge and it too had all that you needed - including a steam egg boiler!! Together with usual breakfast requirements and again, some things in the cupboards and fridge that gave you that little bit extra. I cannot recommend highly enough. Furthermore, if you’re looking for golden eagles then this is the place to stay. Flying nearby all the time - another real pleasure to experience. Cristina was a very welcoming and informative host and obviously loves her home and where she lives. Try her place it’s well worth it and you’ll love it.

It's difficult to find words that haven't already been said about Alasdair's place. We felt welcome and at ease from the beginning of our stay, Alasdair kept us entertained with his stories, walks, and general air of mystery! He also looked after us very kindly, and we appreciated sharing meals together. Ross is a lovely, funny and clever soul and a very warm presence to have around. The location of the house has to be experienced to be felt and understood, and having Alasdair as our guide made it more special. We loved exploring Harris' rocky shores and sandy beaches, and coming back to the space was a treat - especially after being caught in some wild weather! How lucky we are to have had these experiences. We could not recommend Aird Druim an Tolla enough and would definitely come back. Warmest thanks.

Glyn and Lyndas place exceeded our expectations. It was the absolute perfect place to unwind and cozy up. Any window you look out of , the views are breathtaking. They couldn’t have been warmer hosts either with attention to detail and so much kindness. The breakfast they curate for you in the morning is so special. We will be back!!!

Lovely place to stay in the Skye Island, really calm location, perfect for a good rest! We didn’t had the pleasure to meet the host but they responded to my messages really quickly and were always nice. Highly recommend!

Helen was such a great host. She baked at least five different treats and set up an entire breakfast buffet for just the two of us. We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome. Thank you for having us Helen.

Isabel kam uns gleich entgegen und hat uns freundlich begrüßt. Sie und Stuart wohnen ebenfalls im Old Schoolhouse und vermieten drei Zimmer im Dachgeschoss. Wir bekamen jeden Tag Vorschläge, was wir unternehmen könnten und wo man z.B. gut essen kann. Unser Zimmer war groß, das Badezimmer sauber und das Bett ebenfalls groß und bequem. Morgens bekamen wir ein kleines Frühstück serviert in einem Raum zusammen mit den anderen Gästen. Da die Insel Skye groß und nur spärlich besiedelt ist, kommt man kaum ohne Auto zurecht. Es gibt auf dem Grundstück aber genug Parkplätze für die Gäste.

Total honesty: as we braved the unlit, one-lane road back to Papillion, I was a little worried. But I should not have feared — the hosts were nice, the B&B space was pristine, and the breakfast every morning (with tea and espresso options in your room on your own schedule) were perfect. James and Rachel have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making people comfortable, and they did a fantastic job. SIDE NOTE: If you do stay here, Dunvegan is not far up the road. The castle and gardens are excellent, and The Old School (restaurant) is superb.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Valentina was the most accommodating host my wife and I have ever had. She is extremely sweet and made sure we always had everything we needed. The house was lovely and the guest room and bathroom are both very spacious. The bed was comfy and the towels were soft. If we ever come back to Skye we will be staying with her again. We cannot recommend staying here enough!

Peaceful location around the bay from Applecross Inn. We loved our stay and appreciated the underfloor heating in the bathroom after a few nights camping! Tery was very kind and left us a continental breakfast in the room as an alternative to a cooked breakfast.
