Such a unique and beautiful stay, we loved it! Styling, attention to detail, location + views 10/10! The welcome basket was so thoughtful. Sally is a great host.

Irene’s shepherd cottage was an absolute dream to stay in! The location to all the hikes and adventures we wanted to do was perfect. The cottage itself was so comfy, quiet, cozy and had everything we needed to cook dinner after a long day of adventuring. You can tell Irene takes a lot of pride in her property and in being a host. Between her and her husband, the recommendations they provided were excellent! We were able to get to lesser known sites with their guidance. Irene is an incredible host, greeting us with the most delicious homemade shortbread and tablets I’ve ever had (I’d go back just for them!). The views from the cottage make it hard to leave in the mornings. The only downside was that we had to leave! But, I highly look forward to being able to stay here again and highly recommend the stay to couples and solo travelers.

First time staying in a pod, but it won’t be our last! We weren’t sure if compact living would mean we would have to sacrifice on space or convenience but we needn’t have worried, the pod had everything we needed and more and was surprisingly spacious. It was also extremely cosy and comfortable, with lovely views and a very friendly host. We initially wanted something very remote and isolated but actually knowing that Keith and his family were just next door was a comfort, and we never even saw them after checking in so the place still felt really private. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends and family!

Words cannot accurately articulate just how EXTRAordinary Sandra's Airbnb is. Photos do not do adequate justice. This Gem in the Isle of Sky is absolutely the very best experience we have ever had with Airbnb and we Airbnb A LOT! From the start of our journey, Sandra's advice and council on getting to the Airbnb, along with her insights on our desired journey were not only incredibly helpful but selflessly thorough and compassionate in nature. Her clear and informative direction on getting to her Airbnb, along with parking safely and enjoying all aspects of the Airbnb were out of this world and her hospitality is unparalleled. Not to mention, all of the extra sweet touches in the home are like nothing we've ever experienced... hot coco AND marshmallows! Coffee, honey, grains, a variety of spices and everything and more than you would need to enjoy a home cooked meal and settle into a beautiful night. Unbelievable! The local whiskey was a huge favorite of mine along with my wife! A+++++

Claire’s hut was the perfect base for exploring Skye. Claire was very friendly and gave us lots of recommendations. The hut is really well equipped with everything you could need and in an idyllic setting. Would highly recommend.

Fijne accommodatie en van alle gemakken voorzien. Ondanks dat het in onze periode wat frisser was, was het in de accommodatie warm. Het enige minpuntje was dat er zowel voor als achter de pod een weg liep. Het verkeer van beide wegen was goed te horen binnen. Dit stond niet in de beschrijving vermeld. Wij waren er alsnog naar toe gegaan, maar hadden hierdoor een iets ander uitzicht verwacht. Hamish is een vriendelijke en zeer geïnteresseerde host. Hij kwam iedere dag een praatje maken.

What a magical place! We absolutely loved our stay here and already dream of coming back. The inside is soooo beautiful and comfortable that we didn’t mind staying in on rainy days. We could never get sick of watching the sheep roaming the hillsides or the ever changing coast from the fabulous sunroom. The only downside is we were unaware of the time involved to bring the wood-fired hot tub up to temp. It takes an hour to fill with water and “up to 3.5 hours to heat in the winter”. Since we can’t leave the fire unattended, we weren’t able to enjoy it until our third night since we arrived home so late on the previous nights. It is also very hard to find in the dark and the pin led us to the wrong spot. Google Mapsing the house name took us to the right spot, but we arrived in the dark and were unable to see the sign to the bottom right of the gate. Everything else was completely perfect and we highly recommend staying in this lovely place.

The cabin was very clean and the space is used efficiently. The bed was super comfy.

I am tempted to be less enthusiastic so the place doesn't become impossible to book but how can I not say what a lovely place this is. We spent 4 days here and didn't see a cloud in the Skye sky. A quiet spot on the island with stunning views out the window, an almost private beach and equally an ideal spot to explore the rest of the island from. Every day was a different adventure in the morning and then back to our peaceful view across the water and a cosy house with everything we needed. Shona was a perfect host, helpful if needed and discreet when not needed. A magical place.
