What a gem of a find! We came to Gilwern for a weekend without our children and were able to run, cycle and hike really easily from here. The cabin is beautiful, the views are amazing, and the hot tub was just the icing on the cake. Beth was really attentive and really helpful (and runs an amazing shop and cafe in Abergevany which we discovered on the last day). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and really hope we get a chance to stay there again!

Absolutely outstanding! Such a beautiful lodge that was clean and cozy. We have had a wonderful week away! We would love to visit again! The place itself is even better than the photos and we felt right at home. The hot tub was fantastic and was cleaned everyday ensuring th right chemicals were added if and when needed. We kept busy with some of the family games that are stored at the lodge and we also enjoyed and appreciated the coffee pods which were easy to use and plentiful. The nearby town of Bridgenorth is lovely to wander around and is very dog friendly. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and we hope to visit again! Thank you ❤️

A lovely house for a staycation. Beautiful setting and ideal for bringing the dog too. Lots of nearby walks and a short car journey to Knighton with pubs to eat. Rachel was friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay at the Oak Cabin! Everything we needed was within easy distance and the place was really well stocked with all the necessities. The hosts were super helpful and gave clear directions to help us out. We are already planning our next trip back!

Sara & Mark are communicative and friendly. 5* Hosts. Check in was quick and easy with no faff. The location was easy to find and had good parking. I have a large estate car and had no issues parking it. Sara included what3words for directions which I wish more hosts would do! We enjoyed our stay, it was peaceful, quiet, secluded and beautiful views. Will stay here again if we visit this part of the UK again. No downsides, all good and just as the description said it would be. :-) Happy guests!

The place was so much bigger than we expected, the decking area had so many different spots to sit in to catch the sun with plenty of lovely outdoor furniture. The view of the woods was amazing especially when in the private hot tub. The cabin is beautifully decorated, spacious and clean, I loved everything about it. The bathroom was another level for me. If there is only one thing and it is only a personal preference and certainly not a complaint, the hot tub was a little too hot but once it cooled down it was perfect. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Thank you Melanie 😌

Host: 10/10 Bex was kind, responsive, respectful and overall a wonderful human being. Clean: 10/10 honestly could not find a fault. Even the BBQ was spotless. Facilities: 10/10 the location was gorgeous, the bbq and firepit facility was excellent. Bex provided everything needed for it for just 12£ which covered about 4/5h of fire, there was enough space in the fridge for food for 2. There is a Morrisons in Brecon town only 15 min drive away so if you want some more food for the day after, it’s a fairly easy drive. The is enough space between cabins to ensure that there is privacy which is lovely and there’s a little stream near by which provides a nice background when cooking outside. Sleep: 9.5/10 mostly because the bed was a bit thin for my own personal preference but it did not affect the day whatsoever and the surroundings made me relax so nicely that I came back home recharged anyway. I would 100% come back and I would suggest everyone should do some stargazing!

The cabin is set in a beautiful location and is roomy and well equipped. Even in February we were cosy and warm. There are thoughtful touches like board games which we enjoyed playing. There was a handy guide to local restaurants and the hosts were very welcoming and kind. We would highly recommend Tessa’s cabin , Thank you Rose & Adrian

It is perfectly suited to disconnect from the chaotic world we live in. The tranquility and surroundings were a dose of pure energy for us, exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries and calm our minds. Thank you Tim, for the beautiful place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely book again! The cabin was clean, well equipped and very cosy. The cost was very reasonable. The location is perfect, 40 minutes from Mt. snowdon and 25 minutes from mid Wales. The holiday park is very nice and the dog walking area is great. I would definitely recommend staying here. Geoffrey was a great host, very responsive and his instructions for check in were clear and check in was seamless.

Absolutely fabulous lodge, so peaceful and a real lovely setting, the cabin itself was lovely and cosy and well equipped. Thank you Sarah and Hugh for such an amazing stay you truly have a nice little area there.

We loved our time there. The cabin was spotless and very cosy and warm,everything you could need just like a mini home! It was very comfortable and a good base for seeing the area either walking or in the car. we walked with our 2 springers into Barmouth which is a lovely long ,scenic walk. we did the mach loop and saw some fantastic jets low level flying and trip to beautiful Aberdyfi to walk the dogs on the massive beach! We couldn't recommend it enough!

We stayed at Riverside Cabins as a surprise for my husband's birthday. From the time of booking, with help to have balloons in the cabin prior to our arrival, to organising the hot tub to warm up quicker as we were only staying for 1 night, everyone was so friendly, accommodating & extremely helpful! I couldn't recommend this place enough! The location is no more than perfect! It was a freezing cold night (-2 i think) which gave us the beautifully clear skies on which to view the stars from the hot tub. I couldn't think of a better place to have been on such a perfect night! Luckily we live local so will definitely be staying again and I have already recommended Riverside Cabins to my family and friends. The cabin was clean, warm and cosy, well equiped & beautifully decorated with a very comfy bed. Loved it! I would say more but I'm running out of the allocated number of characters! Quick you need to book before you miss out on experiencing such a perfect location! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow what a great place, had the best time so relaxing and homely had everything we needed. Great views with a lovely walk through the private woods to the beach. Enjoyed the hot tub each day and had a couple of BBQs. Nice evening walks along the beach. See the dolphins while sat out enjoying breakfast that was great to see. Brian was lovely so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back again. Thank you

Angela was a great host and has clearly put a lot of effort into the railway carriages. We had a lovely stay and the place was very clean and comfortable. A beautiful view to wake up to!

Our stay at Heather and Stone was heavenly—far exceeding the beauty captured in the photos and truly resembling a real-life fairytale. The entire property felt wonderfully secluded, yet it was perfectly located within easy reach of charming pubs and breathtaking scenic walks. I cannot recommend it enough. The kitchen was fully stocked with thoughtful goodies and equipped with every accessory we could possibly need. Patricia and her husband were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay, even going above and beyond to assist us with a flat tire and provide clear directions home.

We absolutely loved our stay at Woolly Wood cabins. Peaceful surroundings in nature, comfortable beds, amazing hot tub and great clear sky to watch the stars. 100% will be back. Thank you Myles for a great staycation.

Absolutely loved our stay at Ruth’s Retreat. On arrival Ruth & Dean were ready to show us our cabin and give us a quick demonstration on hot tub & where the lights etc is in cabin. Cabin was spotless and had everything we needed for the weekend. Lovely private space in the hot tub with beautiful views. Ruth & Dean are lovely to speak to and very helpful if needed anything. Will 100% be looking at staying again and will be recommending to friends & family.
