Beautiful house in great central location. Everything is nearby and in walking distance. Comfortable guestroom with own bath. And most important: a super lovely hosting familiy. We enjoyed our stay so so much. Thanks for everything!

This property is everything one could ask for. The house is spacious which allows for privacy for all party members. It is an old house with a unique feeling one can appreciate. The house is very well equipped and the garden is spectacular. The view is breathtaking one does not want to leave the house! The host is lovely, very responsive and helpful! We would stay longer if we could . Very highly recommended!

We had an idyllic two weeks here, exploring on foot, by car, and rented e-bikes. Easy access to a great network of bike trails (the Great Taste Trail). An easy walk to 2 brewpubs and other restaurants and an excellent Thai massage location. Go east to Havelock for mussels or west to Abel Tasman NP for a Waka paddle or beach time. Back home we would relax in the private hot tub, enjoy the TV and cook in the well stocked kitchen. The accommodation was spotless, with a comfortable bed and everything we needed for a relaxing time. The host was always responsive and provided lots os suggestions for sights, shopping and restaurants.

The property was in the perfect location for us. It fitted our whole family easily and we had a lovely stay. Bathrooms are modern and super clean. All rooms are good sized and the property was very private.

An older style house but well cared for and in a great location. Walkable for everything in downtown Nelson. We had a super few days here. Another comfy bed!

Great spacious home and plenty of off street parking

Very peaceful location - house is surrounded by a leafy garden and is perched above a busy and bustling port. Great deck area at the back of the house to pass the time watching the port, or to do some work outdoors. House is elegantly decorated with Annabel's artwork and collectibles from travel and work in the Pacific islands. She also has a great collection of books!

Great place to stay. Was a home away from home for us. Great yard and home to relax in. Was nice to be able to grill a meal after almost 7 months of living in Antarctica. Would stay here again. Just lovely.

Jacqui was the perfect host and very responsive and flexible with our stay. The view from the terrace is simply stunning and the space is so sociable, great for families or group of friends. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed for a month and had the best time. Sarah was helpful and quick to respond to messages. The house was very clean and we got fresh air every morning on the hill. Highly recommend if you are staying in Nelson!

Lovely super clean property with great views over Nelson. Attentive host 😊Exactly as described and communicated. Enjoyed by our party of 5 x 70+ year olds, though confident driver required for driveway. (There is garaging for multiple vehicles). Will happily use again

We loved our stay in this beautiful, modern ‘home from home’ property. Wayne’s Sanctuary is welcoming, clean and well appointed with everything you need. The beds and lounge furniture are very comfortable. Full length windows flood the rooms with light. The kitchen in particular is extremely well equipped. The property is in a peaceful location with easy access to local amenities and beautiful locations. Lake Rotoiti is approximately 1hr and 15 minutes away and worth a visit. We would love to return when we next visit Nelson. We highly recommend Wayne’s Sanctuary. Thank you Wayne and Michelle.

We had an amazing four-day stay at Suze’s home & it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the thoughtful touches & cozy atmosphere. The house was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, & well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—peaceful & surrounded by nature, yet conveniently close to local attractions. The outdoor space was a highlight, offering stunning views & a lovely spot to relax with a morning coffee or unwind in the evening. The kitchen had all the essentials, making meal preparation a breeze & the beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Suze was a fantastic host, always responsive and helpful. Her attention to detail made the stay extra special. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home, this is the perfect place. We would absolutely love to stay here again. Highly Recommended

For the most part a lovely spot with great sunsets. Short drive to city center. Some maybe bothered by the occasional airplane but not busy enough to be an issue really.

Jodie's accommodation is such a spacious, modern and warm home with peaceful neighbours. We felt like we were in our own home whilst we were in Nelson. Jodie and Scott were always attentive and proactive. We highly recommend this paradise and it is well worth to spend what we are paid for. We want to say Jodie's place is 10/10 and our holiday was perfect due to a very lovely accommodation.

We loved Meredith's place. It was spotless with homely and artistic touches throughout. We didn't want for anything. Super central location, easy walking distance to so many lovely spots to eat, drink, shop and wander. Comfy beds, cosy living spaces, full self-catering supplies, music and books aplenty. We could easily have stayed the week!

2 beds downstairs are high so you need a stool to get to them. they were comfortable but if you have mobility problems you may choose the upstairs beds. kitchen was remodeled nicely. I left some things there but she said she'd mail them to me...extra mile is appreciated

Elaine's place was great. I had a little difficulty with the lockbox but this was probably down to my own ineptitude with these sorts of things. There is one thing I want to get off my chest. This is not a reflection on Elaine's place because it offered the best value for money of any of the places on offer. But, really, Nelson is a very expensive place to visit. I've stayed in accommodation all over NZ and Nelson seems to be the most expensive. I will think seriously about staying overnight in Nelson in the future and look for other options instead.

A lovely homely feel, the potplants were gorgeous.. Alexa was fun! Really well supplied home and we appreciated the offer to use pantry supplies. Helen was very responsive. All in all a great home, thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very warm and inviting and has lots of amenity - the kitchen is brilliant. It is spotlessly clean and the garden is beautiful and a treasure to sit back and relax in after a day of activities. Would recommend as a fuss free base from which you can plan and launch your adventures in and around Nelson.
