The Chalfonte Hotel is such a cool place! If you’re intrigued with history and character, this is an experience for you. Only a 5 min walk from the beach and lots of great restaurants and things to do in the area. This was my first time in Cape May, it will certainly not be my last.

It is always a pleasure to stay in the beautiful Chalfonte Hotel! Charming historic Victorian surroundings and a beautiful relaxing veranda three blocks from Cape May's beaches. The front desk is always helpful and friendly, and the King Edward bar is always full of interesting conversations and delicious drinks. We have been coming to Cape May for 10 years and have stayed in the Chalfonte for three, I don't see myself staying anywhere else!

five stars for uniqueness and charm. We have friends in the area and have had a hard time finding pet friendly accommodations. I was a little hesitant because I didn't know the area and it seemed like a small older place. It is both. after reading the reviews I thought I'd give it a try and I'm really glad we did It was very clean. very well thought out charming and the best part was the kitchen and restaurant and bar. A small local place with fantastic entertainment. We didn't have to leave the property. just an easy walk downstairs to really unique, delicious food and wonderful entertainment. The girls that work there, Tam and Carly really know what they're doing. they are hard-working and professional and they make a great hot toddy. We will stay there again the next time we visit our friends. It was just very easy and comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay in the little corner room at the Chalfonte. I loved reading and people-watching on the porch. It's a great location, just a few blocks from the beach and the main shopping area. I parked my car a few blocks away and rented a bicycle to get around town. The bathroom was a bit further down the hall than I expected, but it was always clean and available.

We had a great stay at James’ and Dorothea’s place! They are both great people. James gave great instructions for getting into the house, and interacting with the horses on their property. Dorothea made us incredible and generous breakfasts, and we had great conversation with her about her life and ours. The bridal suite is so beautiful (and we weren’t there after getting married!), and the bed is extremely comfortable. Amazing electric fireplace in the room! Wifi is good in the room too - I worked out of it for a few days. Would highly recommend this place!

Great spot! loved the communal feel and accessibility to the beach. Room was tidy and exactly what I needed. Great experience all around!

Surfer review- Lots of great surf zones with very kind local surfers. If you respect the line up you will be happily welcomed by most. Bare wires surf shop is rents multiple brands, shapes, and sizes of hard boards and soft tops. it's $10 cheaper than the one down the road from the hotel and much more "core". Perfect budget hotel. Very welcoming. Bars close by. Front porch is a great spot to have a drink and unwind. No bar on site but this is a great spot for respectful adults who like to have a few drinks, feel safe, and get to bed. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay here. we stayed overnight in September for an event and enjoyed the makings of a really cute, old timey beach bed and breakfast. The only comment I can suggest is that the common areas were not set ip to be inviting for vacationers. The lounge and kitchen is a well lived-in area and I wasn't sure if we should use it, but we were there off season and the room was discounted. Our room was very clean and cute, with its own private bathroom. I liked the vibe of the throwback decor, and the building was quiet. I enjoyed being greeted by the hosts and their child, and they personally showed me our room and set us all up with all the things we need. it make me feel very welcome as if they were welcoming us into their family home. we would stay again!

From the moment we arrived every thing ran smoothly. Check in was quick and easy( and a few hours early!). Grounds and pool were immaculate. Rooms were very clean, beds and linens were comfortable. There were lots of staff on premises and it showed how hard they worked. It was on the beach block so the location was great. The hotel was family oriented, with lots of international guests. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a trip to the Jersey shore.

Owners were responsive when we let them know about any issues, but issues were minimal and didn't bother us enough. They did offer to come and take care of these things immediately. Also communicated well throughout the stay. The cleaners missed a pair of panties (from the previous stay I presume) and there were a few other areas that weren't as clean as we would've liked, but overall it was a great stay!

Beautiful place. It felt like a mini apartment. Everything was nice and clean. I loved the fact that it is pet friendly (even though you have to pay a fee). The complementary breakfast was the best part. The staff were so nice and they also give you a whole sheet with restaurants/ stores around there. The only annoying thing is that there were some ants, other than that I had a great time.

Exceeded our expectations! Amazing place to stay! It gave us that away from home getaway feeling. Gerry was very helpful and responsive. Will definitely be back!

I really appreciated Shree's thoughtfulness. I came - mom of one - to Seaside Heights with four over excited teen girls who wanted desperately to stay on their own. Shree kindly accommodated us immediately by putting me right next to their room in my own -which was extremely helpful. Plus it's ideally located, a couple minute's walk to the boardwalk, with a cute little pool to refresh yourself in on a hot day! The unexpected bonus was that Shree's motel allows all guests a parking spot with re entry privileges - unheard of otherwise, (all the public lots ask for $10 for the day, and if you leave, they won't let you back in.) We will come again.

Sal’s place was one of the best AirBnB’s spots we’ve ever stayed at. The place looks just like the pictures. I’m a clean freak and the place was spotless! Like, top notch hotel level of cleanliness. Our family of 4 had a very comfortable stay and we will definitely be back! The host was helpful, responsive and very friendly. The building was quiet and greatly located. Highly recommend!

We love our stay it was such a last minute vacation and for sure was the most relaxing vacation with my family we enjoyed wildwood and also the pool, beach and boardwalk and the next day vape may zoo as it’s so close to the Inn for sure worthy.

Awesome little spot to stay close to the beach for me, my boyfriend and our two dogs. The staff was friendly and I loved being able to text the staff with questions.

The unit was very spacious and waking up to the views of the ocean was nice. The place was clean, quiet & private. Michael was friendly & responsive. He made check-in seamless as possible.

Great view of the fireworks on Friday nights. We stepped out onto the balcony and they were right infront of us. Enjoyed the show from the chairs next to our door. Awesome pool. Large size rooms. A minute or two walk to the boardwalk. We would definitely book here again. The kids and I had a very nice time!
