this was very ideal for my family. loved everything about this place. Loved the peaceful Backyard. Loved the privacy of each of the bedrooms. I honestly will recommend this Airbnb to friends and I will definitely book it again on my next trip to NOLA. Great job keeping this place very neat. My children and I felt very much at home. All around 10/10! It was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast and the charm and homely feeling of staying with a local family can’t be beat. The location was perfect, we could walk everywhere but it was residential and close to local gems.

My friends and I had a great stay at Paula’s place. It was a great location- very quiet yet close to restaurants and activities. The home is quite old, which I loved and had fun staying in, but remember that while booking if you’re looking for a more modernized home. Paula was responsive and a nice host as well. We’d definitely stay again, were we to come back to New Orleans

Karen’s beautiful home is right in the center of a vibrant and fascinating neighborhood that is far less touristy—and far more interesting—than the hot-spots across the river. There are fantastic restaurants within walking distance, and the Mississippi is just a few blocks away. And if you still want to steep in the French Quarter, the ferry can take you there post-haste. Karen’s home-cooked breakfasts are also exquisite. Highly recommend staying here.

Great place. Perfect for those who just need a place to lay their heads for the night. Room was clean and exactly what we needed. People need to remember you’re in New Orleans, floors are going to creak, rooms will not be brand new, you’re staying in buildings over 100 years old and that’s cool! I think this place embraces the vibes of New Orleans. Will be back for our trip next year!

Nice gem here. Beautiful place, yummy breakfast. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Easy access to public trans, okay public parking, 2 blocks from Cafe, walking distance to most things you'd like to check out in NOLA. Felt as safe as any other city (live and work in Chicago).

Excellent spot close to the bars and restaurants I like. Kind and lovely people taking care of the space. Clean and comfy room. Yummy breakfast included. I also suggest taking advantage of the spa - was a wonderful start to vacation to have a deep tissue massage by their pro therapists.

Beautifully restored mansion. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Easy to walk to all things French Quarter and Frenchman St.

I would give even more stars if I could! Lynn's place was absolutely perfect for us. I stayed for 5 nights with my mom and we are already dreaming of going back. The place was super clean, beds were comfortable and Lynn thought of every detail to ensure a great stay. We felt warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. He and his partner were never intrusive, but available if we needed anything. The place felt very private despite the shared space with other guests (whom we never even saw!). The common area is spacious and we loved having access to the breakfast foods, coffee, tea and juice at any time of day. The location truly can't be beat. Two blocks to Frenchman St!! And the best part is being so close to the action but in a quiet room in a lovely residential area. Great neighborhood restaurants, cafes, and bars within easy walking distance. It's hard to find a place in this area that checks all the boxes at an affordable price which makes this extra special. Thank you Lynn!!!

We had a nice stay at this bnb in New Orleans! The room was clean, breakfast was delicious, and the hosts gave us a rundown of the surrounding area and some great recommendations. The location is a little outside the popular area of the French Quarter, but walkable to both the Quarter & Bywater neighborhoods and very close to Frenchman Street. We could hear a little street noise and other guests coming/going from our room, but not enough to keep us from sleeping. Would stay again!

Can’t wait to visit Michelle’s again! The inn was so comfortable and the room met all of our need down to a great ceiling fan and handy shelves in the bathroom. Michelle and Bob went out of their way to MAKE us a tasty, hot vegan breakfast each morning and were so friendly yet so chill. 5 stars all around!

Daphne and her staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was heavy on fresh fruit with a couple boiled eggs and some carbs, coffee, juice, milk, etc. It was nice to sit around the table with other guests and compare notes about our visit to NOLA. The bed and bathroom were extremely comfortable and accommodating. The room was a bit on the small side, though there was pleasant common space in the building for relaxing. I didn't use the TV. The only negative is that the walls transmit sound from adjoining rooms and from the street outside. Fortunately, the other guests sharing the house with me were quiet, but if you want to carry on normal conversation in your room you could be heard by your neighboring guest. For me, this wasn't a problem and the stay was overall very pleasant.

Wow what an amazing place and Kyle was the perfect host! He is super friendly & knowledgeable, gave great recommendations, and the food he prepared for us was even better than the awesome restaurants we went to! Kyle puts a lot of thought and detail into the food & accommodations. The house was in perfect condition, bed super comfortable, and the artwork was as amazing. Dogs were well-behaved. Top marks across the board, highly recommend- anyone choosing will not be disappointed. Thanks much Kyle, we’ll be back! :-)

I came to New Orleans for some solo exploration and am so grateful I found Lyle’s place! He was like a 24/7 concierge, amazing chef, and made me feel like family, even beyond my stay!!! The space is beautiful, cozy, and stately! Bedrooms are spacious and bathrooms are for the most part shared unless you have the suite. Got my daily dose of dopamine from Lyle’s sweet pups (labradoodles), too. The neighborhood is overflowing with charm, and I got the best recommendations from Lyle for local restaurants and music! Would 11/10 recommend and return! Thanks Lyle for your generosity!

What an oasis! I always look for places like this when I travel, but you won’t always find them. This spot is a gem. The room was clean, the amenities were there and then some! The fridge was stocked with drink mixers, plan-b’s at the bar, condoms in the nightstands, they thought of everything and then some. If I came back, I’d stay here again. Only downsides? The train might as well be on top of the building it’s so close. Be prepared to sleep with earplugs (they provide them), and the white noise on. Oh— and the shower in this particular unit is quite small. I consider myself a big b*tch, this one was an open the shower door to wash your whole body type small. BUT still worth it. I mean you can smoke in the hot tub, how can you beat that? Neighbors were so kind There was even a yoga class held onsite. Last mention— I didn’t realize where the spot was entirely, now I would describe it as at the end of residential. 30 min walk to most spots. Top recs; BJ’s, Studio BE

Lyle was the best host! He made us feel right at home. He made us the most amazing breakfasts every day we were there. He offered up great recommendations for places to eat and listen to music. Places only the locals know about! The accommodations were comfortable and so much better than staying at a hotel. I’ll be staying at his beautiful house every time I come back.

We were in New Orleans for our daughter’s wedding. Lyle’s home was a great location near her venue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Lyle, specifically his fabulous breakfasts each morning. He was the perfect host as were Bubba and Brice. His home is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Lyle was thoughtful, friendly, informative and accommodating from the time of our arrival until our departure. We feel very fortunate to have found The Obeah Guest House and would highly recommend!

The house was everything we had hoped for. The colors were vibrant and it felt cozy. Great location, close to everything yet far enough that we didn’t hear all the commotion. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We enjoyed sitting out back on the courtyard. Loved it!
