New River Gorge National Park & Preserve : locations de vacances

My fiancé and I stayed in Red Bud with our little dog for 6 nights and loved it so much! The view was incredible and we enjoyed how quiet our surroundings were. Having a cup of coffee on the porch every morning was like a dream. The cabin was clean and very well stocked. We were surprised because it had everything we needed plus more! Most cabins are bare bones but not this. Also if you are someone in need of internet, the internet was perfect and gave us no trouble. We also arrived at night and it was of course very dark, I messaged Rich to help us get to the cabin and he called me and stayed on the phone with us until we were there, which was super appreciated. As far as activity recommendations, the immediate area is pretty remote, but we drove one day (about 40 mins maybe?) to Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory (short but very pretty hike!) and then went to the Cheese ‘n More Store for a sandwich after. The perfect day trip! Both are worth the drive/visit. We will be back!

Dmitry is a communicative host with clear instructions and it was easy to make this spot a home base during our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with supplies, the home is colorful and airy with its open spaces, and the yard was a great hangout spot for us and our dogs. The neighborhood is quiet and very convenient to access downtown Oak Hill or the New River Gorge area more generally. We would definitely stay here again!

Pervis reached out on the day of our check in to give us the preferred travel route and offered his own backyard for sledding options for our family. He was extremely accommodating, including allowing a slightly later checkout. This cabin was beautiful - with multiple hiking trail options and scenic settings. The cabin itself had all the necessary amenities and was great for our 7 member family group! We all had an amazing time and plan to revisit!

Harmony house was fantastic! We had a great time exploring the national park just a stones throw away (literally). Laura went the extra mile and got me a cookie cake for my birthday which made the experience unforgettable. Would highly recommend.

This is the second property we've stayed at hosted by Elizabeth. Elizabeth is an excellent host- she is very responsive to all queries and requests and her homes are immaculately clean and welcoming when you arrive. The Oak Hill property is located in a residential neighborhood. We found it to be very quiet and had no issues with dogs barking (as other reviewers mentioned). The home is beautifully decorated and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner. The beds are firm and comfortable, as are the linens. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Dave was great! Check-in was super easy, the place is very nice, there is plenty to do in the surrounding area, and if you have questions he's very responsive. Would stay again!

This is the perfect spot for a bachelor party weekend. We came out to do some white water rafting, so the location was perfect. The pool, hot tub, outdoor grill setup is top notch. Our only criticism is that the kitchen is a bit of a wreck with a ton of water leaking out of the fridge and a heck of a lot of mold growing under the sink. That doesn't bother 9 guys on a rafting trip, though. Absolutely would come back!

Host: very responsive. Excellent instructions and communication. Kitchen: updated and well stocked. Great coffee bar. Bathrooms: clean. Well stocked with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. (Master bed and bath on main floor. Steep steps to upstairs rooms and bath.) Beds: Excellent. Very comfortable and spacious. Mattresses are enclosed. Driveway and cellular: driveway has steep exit on turn. Do not use Apple Maps to get there. [Goes to incorrect location and there was no (T-mobile) to very limited (Verizon) cell service for the last few miles coming in.] Google Maps was correct. (House has WiFi; bring your own subscription for guest access TV.) Location: Good. Restaurants nearby but not walkable. Attractions drivable. Overall: the home is clean, attractive, and nicely redone. It’s open and not cluttered and goes beyond expectations with extras. There is a cute reading nook upstairs. The couch was oversized and quite comfortable.

Wonderful place to stay near New River Gorge National Park! Very close to one region of the park. Place was exactly like the photos and had everything we could need. Would recommend staying here!
