Absolutely perfect for us. Get escape away from people and just super relaxing watching the ocean views. The Bach is the typical kiwi bach very easy to feel at home. We will definitely stay again if we can.

Lovely quiet getaway with a view of the Piha beach. Short ~7-10 min walk to the beautiful black sand beach. The kitchen was fully equipped and any cookware that you might need. The A/C was only in the living room so we kept the bedroom door open at night (there are mosquitoes outside so can’t sleep with windows open). The nearest proper supermarket is a 30 min drive away so get your groceries before coming! Most restaurants are closed Mon Tues in Piha. Would definitely book again if I’m in Piha!

Great little place to escape reality for a couple of days. Lovely peaceful area. Would be happy to visit again.

Trust us! Even more fabulous than the photos! We had an idyllic week in Rachel’s cottage - views, location, furniture and furnishings, decks, kayaks, outdoor shower … everything was first-class. Great instruction booklet for the kayaks and accessories and solid information about the workings of this unique waterfront home. If we can get back to NZ in a couple years, finding 2 weeks to book here is a must do. Our first visit to the Golden Bay area and we loved it. Ligar Bay is at the quiet (slow?) end of Abel Tasman National Park but it is a gorgeous spot with easy access to the Abel Tasman track, shops in Takaka and the Farewell Spit tour bus in Collingwood. Good roads and light traffic in late March. Tata Beach is a short walk from the cottage.

We had a great stay! Beautiful views and spent the weekend fishing and relaxing. Even got to use the kayaks..great spot to be! Thanks Jasmine :)

Stunning house with flexible accommodation options and excellent amenities. Beautifully furnished with super comfortable beds and sofas and everything you need for a very comfortable stay.

Loved our stay at Dianne’s - check in was a breeze, the house was clean and well appointed - the double shower was a highlight. Off street parking down driveway at rear of property made packing/unpacking a breeze. Security door access was very easy.

We stayed for two nights before our flight home Auckland. Fantastic location with the most wonderful view. Very quiet and secluded. The communication with the host was good and the house was well equipped. Enjoyed our stay!

We stayed in Jock's place for six weeks and loved every minute. The beds were great and everything was clean and comfortable. We played pool and enjoyed the hot tub daily. Jock is an arborist and the backyard is lovely, with a lemon tree and other fruit trees that produced fruit that we ate. The location is perfect; near the beach, shops, and restaurants. We could walk to a local grocery store, Four Square (and it was a fast drive to other, larger grocery stories such as Count Down and New World). Walking to Four Square also took us past the butchery where we bought great meats (so much lamb!) and past the "friendly orange cat," which is mentioned Apple Maps! We'd certainly stay here again. It felt like home away from home.

The house is well kept and equipped with a great position. The balcony deck with bath is a USP and maybe the defining feature of the property. Had it been cold we would have lit the fire that was laid and ready to go. Generous amounts of kindling and firewood were available. The only negative comment is that you have to pay top dollar for this, I thought the price was a bit ‘rich’ but it didn’t stop us extending our stay!’ Regards - Rob
