This place was absolutely perfect. Lovely location in a quiet village less than 10 minutes to Durham. It was clean, spacious, and Tom made sure we had everything available, even adding a nice touch of Prosecco and milk. Check in was easy and Tom was quick with communication. Would definitely recommend and we would certainly come back. Thanks Tom!

Great spot! The location could not have been more perfect for walking to family members in the area and shopping. House was ideal for our family of 4. The Christmas decorations made us feel right at home as we were so far away from Arizona. House was very clean as well. Thank you for being so responsive.

We had a wonderful stay at Joannes home! It is so perfectly located to do all we wanted to - seaglass hunting!! Huge benefit to have the parking spot on the front drive. Also huge bonus to be in walking distance to ammenities - asda, pharmacy, home shops and food outlets. Everything we needed was here - a home away from home. The tea/cake/milk was a kind touch. Comfy, clean bright airy base. Comfy sofa and bed. Really well decorated and maintained, lovely colour schemes and accents - nothing has been overlooked. Joanne was an attentive host with friendly communication. Wouldn't hesitate to come back if we are ever up North again. Thank you so much!

Absolutely loved our stay. Grant was responsive, flexible and friendly and the house was gorgeous. Equipped with everything you could need, immaculately clean, smelt great too! The area itself isn't great if you want plenty to do on your doorstep but with a stunning beach 3mins away we were perfectly happy and wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Had a two night stay for my partners birthday. We wanted a home away from home, local to the hussle & bussle of Newcastle & this place certainly didn’t disappoint. The decor was lovely & made it very homely. For a small property (as advertised) the property had everything plus more that we needed. We had a lovely stay for 2 nights at this beautiful and cozy home. It was so well organised and felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We loved the charming decor and all the thoughtful details. Anthony was a wonderful host- approachable, kind, and very helpful. His clear instructions made everything smooth and stress free. The nearby forest walks were really nice, and the stream running through the woods made it so refreshing. The local people were friendly and helpful. The house itself was such a delight that we can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay. fantastic stay at this house. ideally situated for our needs, walking to family and walking to beach for dogs. the house was super comfortable and had everything you need - especially well equipped kitchen and utility. the bedrooms were really nice and beds super comfy. all rooms decorated nicely and we had an amazing stay. thank you Ben and Zoe.

WOW - what a beautiful home!!! An absolute gem * For context - it was myself, my partner, two boys (4 and 2 years old) & our cavapoo. There was ample space for us all regarding bedrooms, bathrooms and lounge space. The home was tastefully decorated in keeping with the local beach aswell as spotlessly clean. NOTHING was too much for our hosts who were simply magnificent given the fact this is a relatively new venture for them. You would think this operation has been running for years based on the quality and efficiency of everything from booking and recommendations. The beach is quite literally a stones throw away and we made a beeline for this every morning after breakfast. Great start to the day! We had a 60 minute drive to Whitby with the family which was thoroughly enjoyable for some stunning Fish & Chips and crabbing for the boys to partake in. Some spectacular views driving down the coast past Redcarr and Saltburn. We would definitely come back again! BOOK BOOK BOOK IT!

Lovely caravan - easy check-in with lockbox, and parking space next to caravan. Lots of extra thoughtful touches inside that made it feel very home-from-home (board games, DVDs, even a jar of biscuits!), extra blankets, lovingly decorated, and the essentials were there too so we could get comfortable straight away (I’ve stayed in some places where there wasn’t even one toilet roll, hand soap, or washing up liquid!) The location was nice, The view out of the lounge window of the sea was lovely, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The site shop etc obviously wasn’t open as it’s out of season, but local shops are a short drive away. Two toilets is a lifesaver with children. The two doors into the main bathroom from the hall and the master bedroom gave us a giggle as I thought it was a cupboard - remember to lock both doors if using the main toilet haha! But space-wise, it is a clever idea. Midday checkout was really useful too, less rush! Would definitely stay again, thanks for having us!

Caravan was immaculate and very homely loved the added touches. The Seaview was a bonus as the children loved it. Our family enjoyed our Christmas in the caravan was a lovely experience. Would definately recommend to others. Great host 5*.

Love this place, right by the beach, and a beautiful beach too. The host was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. The place was immaculately clean, just as described, lovely and warm with all the utensils and appliances working exactly as they should. Easy to walk to town, with a Co-Op and pubs and restaurants there. Shower pretty good too. Family bathroom and a small but useful en-suite to the main bedroom

We had a relaxing stay at Pebbles. Situated in a very picturesque park overlooking the sea and the wind turbines which I felt were quite mesmerising! The park itself has everything you need from entertainment, pool and restaurants. The beach was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed the rock pools and scenery. Lots to do in the area especially if you like castles and history. We would recommend a stay at Pebbles.

We booked for only 2 nights with not much notice. Great set up for the 3 of us. Could have spent longer there. Not easy to find initially but Jamie responded with remarkable swiftness! Appreciated the flexibility on check out as well. All good.

Lovely stay for the week as a family with 2 young kids. Nice and close to a stunning beach. The holiday home itself was well appointed and very clean - some nice touches and very comfortable. We had a really nice relaxing stay and would recommend for anyone looking to recharge their batteries and have beautiful walks and scenery close by.

Lovely stay in Whitley Bay at Claire’s caravan. On the edge of the park closest to the sea so great views of the coast and lighthouse. We were lucky with the sunsets - they were beautiful! Recommended!

Our second stay in ‘Close Quarters’. Extremely clean and tidy house which had great facilities. Great location as only a short walk to Morpeth train station. Will be back next time we visit friends in the area. Thank you!

Me and my partner absolutely loved staying here! The chapel though beautifully renovated has kept all its traditional charm. The hosts were super friendly and it’s the perfect historic base to explore the surrounding areas and Newcastle itself. We will definitely be coming back! ✨

A lovely well maintained property that is exactly as shown and described. The property is in a perfect spot with the beach opposite and a couple of cafes or further restaurants and bars about 10 minutes walk away. The property has a fantastic host, who is fast to respond to messages or queries. Highly recommend it, definitely will be returning in future.

Gemma was really great in helping us last minute with the booking. We would stay again when we come north.

Spacious, warm, clean, well equipped and comfortable. We don't drive but the house is only a minute from bus stops going either to Newcastle or Carlisle. For the Hadrian's Wall bus you need to go to Hexham bus station a 17 minute walk or a couple of minutes using the bus stop on the main road. We stayed 10 days and we're able to cook and do laundry like at home. Hexham is a good base has a lot of facilities but also close to tourist sites.

A gorgeous house in beautiful gardens and surroundings. More than big enough for 8 of us and our dog with plenty of kitchen utensils and crockery. Vanessa was the perfect host, very friendly, responsive and helpful! We’d love to stay again!

We stayed in Alice, Lakeside Cottage. The cottage itself was beautiful. It had everything we needed for a 5 night stay. There were also some lovely unexpected touches left for us, like some nibbles, milk and a bottle of wine and a doggy box of pet items. All of which were very appreciated. The village itself was a little further out than I had thought but was stunning. With views of the lake and fields. So peaceful, and lovely to wake up to. As it’s a dark sky area, we did star spotting at night, and loved seeing shooting stars. Thank you great stay, both us and my in-laws had a great time and would definitely stay again, if in the area.
