the scenery is outstanding. truly what we expect. i recomend Theres place to anyone who prefer enjoy and feel like the local. The house is very accomodating especially the kitchen very very complete. we felt very homey and love the place but the place only accessible by car i think. if you walk/using public transport this place will be quite a walk.

This house was perfect for exploring central Switzerland - only an hour from Zurich and Lauterbrunnen and 30 minutes from Lucerne. Plenty of room for all five of us, with two bathrooms and showers that made the visit much easier. Jost provided very clear instructions and helpful suggestions for things to do and places to visit, and the location had stellar views at all times of the day! Thanks for a wonderful family trip to a beautiful area, and for making everything so easy.

Hugely successful 'once in a lifetime' family skiing trip, largely due to our host John's exceptional help in all matters. There were 17 of us and everbody was happy with their sleeping arrangements. John located us looking lost in town, escorted us up the hill and put chains on our rental car. He was the perfect gentleman, calm, welcoming and helpful. Excellent support before and during our stay. The Racklette John and family produced was delicious, a novel meal and a first for most of us. Lots of little extras, like the Xmas tree and sleds for the kids. So much ice cream we could hardly finish it all! Oh, and the brand new kitchen.

The location is superb with amazing views. It is very quiet, as it is the very last house at the end of a long climbing road, for which you need a special permit to drive. The facilities were more than adequate to keep us warm and comfortable. Everything we needed to cook was provided in the kitchen. I thoroughly recommend 'Ferienhaus Bergruh'.

Beautiful house in a peaceful village! Host was welcoming and friendly. Even though his guestbook was filled with clear instructions and recommendations he still took the time to welcome us personally and walk through the house with us. We loved every minute!

Amazing house in the middle of a beautiful valley next to a lake! Breathtaking views everywhere you look. Close to all the attractions in the area but this spot provides a more authentic Swiss experience. In fact, one night the hosts, who were extremely helpful and available, served us a delicious locally sourced raclette meal with local wine! The house itself is very nice and spacious and had everything one could ask for from a bnb. Very comfy beds too. Basically a perfect bnb. A+

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Franks wunderschöner Unterkunft. Die Ausstattung ist super und vorallem der Ausblick ist wirklich ein Traum! Die Kommunikation lief problemlos und wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Die Wohnung ist perfekt. Mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet, stilvoll und edel, sehr schönes Eichenparket. Sehr sauber, an alles wurde gedacht, nichts fehlt. Sehr gut funktionierendes W-Lan, perfekt für Homeoffice. Super Lage, direkt beim Dorfzentrum und an der Haltestelle für den Ortsbus, der einen an jede Talstation fährt. Der Loipenstart ist ebenfalls sehr nahe. Carole und Manuel sind grossartige Gastgeber, entgegenkommend, hilfsbereit und flexibel. Sie antworten superschnell und sind äusserst freundlich. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Our stay with Andrea was amazing! She was very helpful during the planning process and during our stay answering any and all questions! We will 100% be back to visit and feel so lucky we found this place with Andrea. Highly recommend!

Strongly recommended for anyone looking for various options in Engelberg and activities in the area. Proximity to Bahnhof and public transportation makes this a great choice, with an option to keep your car in the parking garage. Friendly service, clean and uncluttered apartment makes this a relaxing choice.

If we could rate 10 stars, we would! Nicole and John were fantastic hosts. Their place was absolutely lovely as well - we felt right at home!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr gemütlich und wir haben unseren zweiten Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und die Lage mitten in Engelberg einfach top. Johan ist ein toller und unkomplizierter Gastgeber, vielen Dank.

This place was amazing. The view was perfect and the apartment was so cozy. Felt extremely private and quiet. The fire place made the spot even more cozy. I highly recommend for a couple get away. The hosts were super responsive to every quest I asked answer in 15 min or less. I asked a lot of questions and never felt like I was a bother.

Ich habe einen wunderschönen Urlaub bei Marianne und Michael verbracht. Die Wohnung ist pico bello sauber, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet - es gibt sogar ein Gefrierfach! Und der Blick auf den See ist unbeschreiblich. Marianne und Michael sind super nett und herzlich. Es ist ihnen ein großes Anliegen, dass es ihren Gästen gut geht und sie sich wohl fühlen. Sie haben mich mit wertvollen Tips versorgt sei es bzgl. Wanderungen in der Umgebung, Nutzung der öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel oder sinnvoller Apps - v.a. die Parking App ist ein Muss, wenn man wie ich mit dem Auto unterwegs ist. Wenn ich darüber hinaus eine Frage hatte, haben sie mir immer weiterhelfen können. Gastgeber par excellence! Vielen Dank nochmals für die tolle Zeit - ich komme super gerne wieder.

Stunningly located just where the valley rises into the ski slopes and right before a river—truly a breathtaking view. The apartment has everything you need and is tastefully and minimally decorated. The bed was very cosy, and the location is peaceful yet just a stone’s throw from the heart of Engelberg. Matthias was easy to communicate with, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. We’ll definitely be back!

Wir waren zu zweit und haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Als es draußen herbstlicher wurde war die Heizung sofort da. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet mit Geräten wie auch Geschirr. Das Highlight der Wohnung ist aber der Ausblick auf den See und die Berge. Die Lage am Hang erfordert ein Fahrzeug auch wenn der Ort gut mit dem Bus zu erreichen ist. Schön das ein Stellplatz für das Auto vorhanden ist.

Tivemos umas férias absolutamente tranquilas e aconchegantes. A casa estava sempre quentinha e confortável, proporcionando o ambiente perfeito para descansar. As redondezas são super bonitas, parece que estamos num cenário de um filme de Natal, e as paisagens são deslumbrantes, saídas de um conto de fadas. Gostamos muito e pensamos em voltar. obrigado

It was a lovely family Christmas! The apartment was very spacious and very clean. The panorama from the living room to the lake and the mountains is amazing. The owner is very responsive, always responding quickly to messages. And an important moment for us - our youngest daughter forgot her phone in the apartment, and we discovered the loss only a few days later. The owner resolved this issue very quickly, the phone was even charged so that we could see its location. We are definitely ready to return here, with pleasure!

We were delighted to be staying at this lovely place perched above a lake and located in a pleasant Swiss village. Well located to visit nearby attractions such as Lucerne, Mount Pilatus and Mount Rigi. The apartment was spacious and well equipped and we just wished we had stayed longer!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in dieser Ferienwohnung! Sie war geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Die Räume waren geräumig und gemütlich, sodass wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt haben. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter verlief reibungslos und unkompliziert. Besonders gefallen hat uns die günstige Lage – perfekt, um die Umgebung zu erkunden – und der wunderschöne Ausblick. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen!

Danke Raphael. Die Wohnung ist super. Volle Punktzahl. Auch die Inneneinrichtung hat uns super gefallen. Tolle Farbenauswahl. Unsere Favoriten die Relax-Sessel. Ausssicht auf dem schönen Balkon ist auch wunderbar. Einzig was wir nicht verstanden haben ist das wir keinerlei Haken gefunden haben um Handtücher aufzuhängen. Sowohl in der Küche wie auch auf dem WC. Auch hätte ich wahrscheinlich eine Schiebetüre anstelle der Schiebetreppe gebaut. Meine Kinder haben in der Nacht lieber den weg über das Schlafzimmer gewählt als die Treppe zu verschieben um die WC-Tür vom Wohnzimmer öffnen zu können. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Liebe Grüsse
