North Andros : locations de vacances avec kayak

I stayed at Marks home on Andros and absolutely loved it. Patti and Mark were some of the best hosts I have ever stayed with, responsive, helpful and great to be around. Would recommend this home to anyone going to Andros for their first time, or season island veterans. I will be returning!

Very accommodating and peaceful. Everything was perfect except the waterheater wasn't working in until 1# so since we were here for Solar Installations we decided to fix it so we and others can have hot water but other than that it's a two thumbs up.

I can’t say enough our vacation and experiences! This was not a commercial resort like experience (which we like). It’s about nature, and experiencing local Bahamian life. We were traveling as a family of 5 with teens. The home was clean and spacious. The property is right on the beach with perfect white sand!! Having access to the kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment and fishing equipment really makes this unbeatable in terms of value. The other big plus for us was the shelling! We spent 8 nights there total and I’d say that was good. 4 days too short, more than 7 maybe too long for some families. the restaurants are basic but the food was good and we highly recommend Kizzy’s “below deck” and Jermain’s place near uncle Charlie’s blue hole. Both within 10 minutes of house. Or,have Eddie cook lobster for you. Book Solomon for a boating excursion to snorkel and sight see or to fish. The people were amazing and my kids were left with wonderful impressions. Amy is an amazing host!

We were looking for someplace quiet, peaceful, remote. Robby's Place fit the requirements perfectly. Our 8, 3, and 1 yr olds played in the calm waters and warm sand. The adults enjoyed fishing, kayaking, lobstering, and enjoying sunbathing on our PRIVATE beach. The house is like an eastern shore beach house but with more space. The view is gorgeous. The night sky is crowded with stars. We even saw several shooting stars while we sat around a campfire. Dee is quick to respond to communication. Ron and Evie are quick to help with anything, including directions, recommendations, fishing trips. We had Tamara cook our Christmas seafood pasta dinner and it was perfect. I think her prices are reasonable, considering she sets up, brings the meal, and cleans up. Pack a checked suitcase of frozen meats and dried goods. I wish we had packed more as the cost on Andros is pricey. $11 gallon milk. $9 doz eggs. Conch Burger at Below Deck during sunset is great. I hope we can make it back.

Words are difficult to find. Absolutely stunning location and we had the best holiday experience. Communication from Francine throughout was superb and everything was organised for us in respect to arranging the flight from Nassau to San Andros and a welcome meal beautifully prepared and delivered by the property manager, Zona and his wife Bernadette. We cannot thank Zona enough for all his help and kindness throughout the whole vacation. Highlight was when he took us out on his boat for a 4 hour sight seeing trip which included bone fishing, snorkelling and some showing us some Andros ‘secrets’. His knowledge of the sea and the beautiful island was outstanding. I must also mention that the inhabitants of Nicholls Town are the friendliest people I have ever met. Everyone was so pleased to help in any way they can.We cycled most days and this was perfectly safe as the roads are all smooth and all the drivers are very courteous of cyclists.Highly recommended for a totally relaxed holiday

Can’t say enough good things about Cardinal, Tamesha, and the people of Andros. I challenge you to find more hospitable people. Tamesha is an excellent cook and the house is very nice. The community on Andros is second to none, if you have any questions,anyone is willing to answer or sit down and just chat. Ask where to go fishing! The ‘Tropical Gas Station’ is an excellent spot to grab lunch, ‘The Red Door’ has good food and a nice patio, and Chukka’s is a local liquor store that is worth stopping by and chatting with some of the folks there. I would highly recommend going out with a guide who will pick you up at the dock that is at the house. Tamesha and other locals helped set this up and it was an excellent experience. There is opportunity outside of bonefishing the flats too. If you want to dive with sharks or go spearfishing, Cardinal will point you in the right direction. Andros is like no place on earth. Get there, slow down, and enjoy your time with these fine folks.

Our stay at Paradise Ranch exceeded our expectations by miles! We arrived in fresh creek and conveniently Tamesha had the Jeep waiting for us at the airport. After a 30 minutes drive we arrived at the cottage and where greeted with immense hospitality. The cottage is full of amenities inside and out, washer, dryer, water heater, generator, bikes, kayaks, snorkel gear and so much more. Andro’s is as remote as it gets and yet Tamesha made sure we were as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately the main power plant on North Andro’s burnt down a week before we arrived and it was hard to find places to eat due to power outages. Tamesha made sure we didn’t go hungry and cooked us dinner everyday (Best cook on the island) ! The generator kept the power running in the cottage and didn’t stop once. Overall we had an amazing getaway and would recommend Paradise Ranch Cottage to anyone looking for a getaway from reality!

Thank you, Francine for a truly wonderful 8 days. Took shared charter fr. Nassau; met by Zona at San Andros airport. Stopped for liquor/breakfast items. Zona provided nite 1 tasty dinner. Cottage was as advertised; zero complaints. Hardly need AC. WiFi good. Rented car fr. Zona for 3 of 8 days to see blue holes, lunch at Brigadier’s (takes cc’s), buy groceries (takes cc’s) + Mennonite farm fresh vegetables/strawberries. Store inventories are erratic; need to try multiple locations. Everything closed Sundays; plan ahead. Most time spent lying in the sun, reading & snorkeling right off the beach (house has flippers). Beach exclusive to house – so empty/private. Highlight: 2 mornings on the water with Zona fishing & snorkeling. Highly recommend. Caught 3 large fish (grouper, skipjack tuna and mackerel) + 8 lobsters. Being under water with Zona as he dove to spear lobsters was amazing. Grilled every night; did not visit the local restaurants. Santisha was super helpful during our stay. We really enjoyed her location with kayaks and bikes, beautiful sunrises and quiet location. The house was clean, spacious and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy Andros Island.
