Lovely old house with old style furniture. We stayed in winter and were able to use log fires in 3 downstairs rooms. Plenty of wood was provided for this. House was warm despite very cold weather. The one downstairs bedroom was perfect for the elderly man with us. The hot tub was lovely and clean and sheltered. Easy to miss entrance to driveway as there are a few Branxholme properties and Branxholme Knowe is just around a bend. However we spotted it as we overshot and could easily turn back. Good location as in the country but 5 minutes to Hawick and shops. Overall wonderful place to celebrate my birthday and retirement with the family. I would certainly consider returning to this house in the summer and make use of the BBQ and explore the area.

Great location, easy walking distance into Amble and the beach. The house is situated in a very quiet residential area, which was lovely. Lovely home, with all amenities you would expect. A nice touch to get a text the following day from Paul to ensure everything was OK. Would highly recommend.

Had an amazing stay at Emily’s place. The location is stunning. House was exactly as described. Beautifully decorated and plenty of towels for the hot tub and even robes!. Milk and Prosecco in the fridge which was lovely!. Bathroom and kitchen were spotless and the bed was really comfy too. Emily is friendly and responsive and we will definitely be booking again! We didn’t want to leave

I am a writer and needed a place to work after a trip in Scotland. I grabbed this amazing cottage so I could work but also do some walking. It’s a wonderful, intimate place. Comfortable. Homely. Imaginative. The local hotel has a brilliant bar with top notch food and ale. There’s beautiful scenery all around and, while I didn’t travel away from Kirk Yetholm, it’s well placed for all sorts of wonders. If you want peace and quiet with simple delights, this is a near perfect destination. I fully intend to book a longer stay, preferably with company. ♥️

Charming old building in beautiful surroundings, felt like stepping back in time and getting away from it all. Zero light pollution meant you could see a sky full of stars. Would recommend bringing slippers for cold floor and don't use the shower until everyone is awake as pump is noisy but fab place to stay with lots of character.

Considering how important this building is historically it’s amazing that they let people stay overnight and cook in there! It’s very peaceful except on two evenings a group led by a reenactor were rather enthusiastic beneath the window! Only lasted ten minutes and it wasn’t later than 8.30pm. The bathroom gets rather chilly after 11pm when the heating goes off! A minor inconvenience and there is a real gas fire in the bedroom!

Our stay was wonderful. The price for being in the center of all the action in Edinburgh was incredible. Susie was very helpful and responsive throughout the lead up, during, and after our stay. It was the perfect home base for walking around the city. Unfortunately our schedules didn’t line up to meet in person, but Susie was unbelievably sweet and dropped off some pastries for us in the morning. I couldn’t recommend this home more - it had everything we needed and was a quaint/cozy spot to crash or recharge after all the activities Edinburgh has to offer. Will definitely be looking to book again if back in the city!

Had a great stay, my nan found the bed comfortable and the location was perfect. We cooked for ourselves one night and the kitchen had everything we needed. Would highly recommend staying in this apartment and would stay again if travelling with others :) Thank you 🌾

Het was een fijn appartement voor een goeie prijs. Het ligt in een schattig klein dorpje met een leuke pub, restaurant en bakkerijtje. Een leuke stop voor als je de coast hike aan het doen bent!

We really enjoyed our stay the apartment was lovely, very clean and tidy with a homely feel. The views from the balcony of Deans Village were beautiful. Close to coffee shops and restaurants and easy to walk into the city centre or catch an Uber on a lazy day. Ross was also very responsive to any queries we had. Highly recommended

We loved being in the heart of the action at Angie’s place. The apartment was perfect for four of us. The only disappointment was the construction of the road right in front. Thankfully the workers didn’t start until about 8:30 am and finished around 4:00 pm. We were also pleasantly surprised that the street gets very quiet at night, which was ideal for sleeping in the front room. No earplugs needed! We would definitely stay here again.

It was a wonderful place to stay with great scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere . The hosts Alexandra and David were such great people which made the stay even more pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

I can’t say enough about Beechwood House and Nick as a host. What a property - a real gem, beautifully maintained to modern spec. Cosy, very clean with everything you could need. The garden was stunning, we had a sunny weekend to enjoy it. Walkable to Moffat with children which was important, and plenty to do. We’ll Be back for sure. Nick was a very responsive host who left us to it but was full of intel and available if we needed anything. A fantastic experience from start to finish!

This house is stunning. Much larger than the photos suggest, extremely well equipped, very very comfortable and spacious and the perfect place for a large family gathering with no chance of anyone feeling they can't have any quiet space. So much space both inside and out. We took turns cooking the family meals in the wonderful kitchen. We definitely had a much needed family celebratory long weekend for a new baby due in December, two wedding anniversaries, 5 birthdays, a UK residency and hopefully a new job all happening in lock-down, plus a postponed wedding and to gather strength for an unexpected major operation. We loved it and only left the house on one occasion in order to make the most of the house! We will definitely be back to this wonderful special house and would highly recommend it. We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful house in Fife! We were a big group of three families, and the space was perfect for everyone. The house is spacious, well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals for our large group, and the dining area was perfect for family dinners. The location was also great – close to local attractions and beautiful coastal walks. The outdoor space was perfect for the kids to play, and the hosts were incredibly responsive and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable getaway with a large group. We hope to return again!

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.

The place is amazing! So warm for such a big space because downstairs was all under floor heating, very modern with a lovely rustic feel. Spotless, lovely and clean. The beds were MASSIVE and so comfortable, the showers were brilliant. One of the nicest places I have stayed in, definitely worth the price.

This was a gem of a property. Everywhere you looked there were really thoughtful practical touches (e.g. attractive doorstops beside the self-closing doors for when you were moving suitcases, safety covers for low plugs in the kitchen that could have been explored by a toddler) and yet it was stylishly furnished with extremely comfortable furniture. The kitchen was probably the best equipped and provisioned that I have every come across and everything was spotless and high spec. Had we been here in warmer weather the little outdoor courtyard would have been a joy. We love old houses and this was a fascinating one - we loved that the beautiful Victorian tiles had been preserved in the front hall, along with other items exposed during renovation such as the workings of the servants bell system in the sitting room and some original wall paper on the first landing (cleverly made to look like a hung print by 'framing' it in wood). Thank you, Adrian, we loved it!

Fantastic property in the heart of Crieff just a few minutes walk to town centre. The property itself was excellent, the attention to detail was fantastic, little notes and helpful signs around the home which was a nice touch. The kitchen had everything you need and more. The bathrooms were lovely and clean with good showers. The garden area was great too, particularly as it was nice weather when we were there. We ate in a few nice restaurants in town and were not disappointed. Overall a great break in a fantastic property in a lovely location……would highly recommend,
