My Fiancé and I along with our 3 dogs spent a week at Dustin’s place to relax and unwind and we got just that. The cabin is very private with plenty of space for the doggies to run around on his property. We enjoyed the hot tub every evening and we spent a lot of time just playing cards and unplugging from every day life. The place is within 15/20 mins of grocery, restaurants, gas etc. we were amazed at how far NC has come since the hurricane. A lot of the hiking is still temporarily closed, but if you want a safe place to relax and spend time with family and friends Dustin’s place is the one!

Such a charming spot and gorgeous vintage home! The lower level was so perfect for our kids and for cozy movie night. Bob was an excellent host. We’ll return for sure!

We had the best weekend getaway. The cabin was so cozy, with a beautiful view. The wrap-around deck was fantastic for the dogs and us to relax on. In the evening we could come in from the cold and enjoy the fireplace. We would love to go back. I wish we could have stayed longer!!

We were scheduled to stay at this house for a week, but due to Hurricane Helene, we had to evacuate after three days. For the time we were there, the house was very nice and we greatly enjoyed the large living room area. That was definitely the highlight of the home. We would have liked to explore the area more and utilize some of their recommendations, but unfortunately, that was not possible. Would recommend the house to people looking for a large area for people to gather and talk.

We really did enjoy our stay here. It was tucked away and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing, we cooked over an open fire, we rented atvs and rode trails. My only downfall is it had a small sign we missed and it took us very long to find the entrance. When it rained it did come through the front (these were some heavy storms). The privacy was as private as it get these days. But the price with everything else costing day passes or extra money started to get steep by the end of our stay. But I will say the property owner was super polite and really tried everything to make our stay better which is all I could really ask for.

We had a great stay here! Michael and Jenny were responsive and gracious in their communication. We especially loved the porch and drinking coffee while listening to the birds each morning! We would stay again if we come back to the area!

Host is phenomenal, the place was perfect and in a wonderful location! I would absolutely love to stay here again!

Tom was extremely responsive any time I reached out to him. The house was spotless when we arrived and has some really great views of the French Broad River as well as some mountains.

Such a beautiful place to spend time with my friends and family for the weekend. The back yard is especially unique with the pool, pond, and river beyond. I love that they have outdoor activities for use (archery, axe throwing, kayaking and paddle boarding). We stayed in a colder month for the triangle, but still had such a great time. Would love to book again in the warmer months!

Perfect getaway for a family vacation! We had a great time just enjoying each others company by the fire and ventured to the ski resort easily. Such great memories created for a 50th birthday celebration!

We had a large family group and this place was just what we required. Took a little creative thinking to get all our vehicles into the parking area, otherwise there was more than enough room for everyone. It rained a bit during our stay and the variety of amusements in the lower level proved to be a perfect diversion for some of our younger members. The lack of air conditioning on a hot & humid arrival day was a minor drawback, but after making that known our host quickly provided some additional fans. We had some hiking trails nearby with plenty of shopping and eating places within a reasonably short driving distance. Staff was very responsive to each and every need for assistance. An added treat was the abundance of deer wandering around during our stay. We did not see any real bears.

Hosted our annual family get together at this location and it did not dissappoint. Beautiful home and surrounding property. Very quiet and peaceful with very nice hiking trails with elevation on property. Had 5 cars and a motorcycle in our group and had no problem parking. Fire area was very nice and we saw some good sized fish in the pond. Kitchen was well furnished and worked well for our large meals. Grill out back is nice and clean. Used the clubroom for gamenight a few times and had a great time. Love that every room has a balcony, you could lounge on during the morning. All you could hear were the birds or frogs at night. Had to contact the owner about a minor issue and they responded immediately. Highly reccommend this home and these hosts.
