Sameera was a wonderful host! He did a very good job together with his friends who came to help him in the kitchen. Always nice food and a fresh juice, whenever you need it. (for a fair price) The room was clean, had a working fan and a moscito net... so basically all we needed. The charming house with it's little garden is perfect to hang around and get to know other travellers! Daytrips e. g. to Pigon Island were organized by e friend of Sameera who came in the evening to discuss the prices and everything. We highly recommend this place and wish Sameera all the best with the plans he has in mind for his guesthouse/restaurant

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gefallen. Alles war sehr Sauber und wurde regelmäßig gereinigt. Besonders das Outdoor-Bad mit der einzigartigen Dusche war das Highlight. Fußläufig sind viele Restaurants, ein paar Shops und der Strand einfach zu erreichen. Rizvi versorgte uns zusätzlich mit Empfehlungen für Aktivitäten in der Gegend. Die Kommunikation war steht’s problemlos. Jeder Zeit wieder.

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this villa is an absolute gem! Tucked away in a quiet area near a natural hot water spring, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. The garden is beautifully maintained, the rooms are super spacious, and there’s even a swimming pool to cool off in – what more could you ask for? But what really makes this place special is the incredible hospitality from the caretakers, Balan and Pradeep. These two are absolute stars – so friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything you need. They go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and well taken care of, which makes the whole experience feel even more like home. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Balan and Pradeep whip up the most amazing Sri Lankan dishes, full of authentic flavour and made with so much love. Every meal feels like a feast, and trust me, you won’t go hungry here! Overall, it’s a fantastic place to stay – peaceful, comfortable, and run by lovely people.

Where do I start? We arrived and were struck by the beautiful pool and gardens. The apartment is stunning - palacial in size! The photos don’t do it justice and the huge balcony offers stunning views of the garden, pool and beach. It was honestly the best apartment we’ve ever stayed in. The condo manager was also friendly and helpful with any queries we had. We had planned to visit Trinco but decided to make the most of the apartment and beach to relax. The balcony offers the perfect location to capture the awesome sunrise over the ocean. We used a local company (Pigeon Island Tours) to visit Pigeon Island for a snorkel safari - amazing sea life! We could have stayed longer but regretfully had to continue our adventure of this beautiful country. The apartment was a 10/10! Thank you Nalinda.

Prachtige locatie op het strand. De visBBQ was heerlijk. Amal is een vriendelijke gastheer. Eenvoudig en lekker ontbijt te verkrijgen. Volleybal en kano’s ter beschikking en zorgden voor een namiddag vol plezier

All expectations were exceeded during my stay at Moon Isle! Umesh and Mandy are great hosts—while all the staff are friendly as well. Trincomalee and Nilaveli beach truly feel like a piece of heaven. The food they prepare is delightful. My room was cleaned frequently and anything I needed was granted immediately. Any excursions, no matter the location, can be set up via Tuk tuk or taxi, and the prices are more than reasonable. Even to and from the airport! I look forward to returning here as regularly as life allows me!! Highly recommended to anyone wanting to visit Sri Lanka. Satisfaction is guaranteed!

We had an incredible stay at Dhanushka's place near Lion Rock. The location is perfect, with stunning views of the jungle and Lion Rock from the terrace—a truly magical experience. Dhanushka welcomed us with a refreshing drink upon arrival, which was a lovely touch after our journey. Throughout our stay, he was extremely kind and helpful, going out of his way to assist us in planning activities and exploring Sigiriya. The breakfast he prepared for our group of five was fantastic—delicious, fresh, and more than enough to fuel us for the day ahead. The house is clean, comfortable, and ideally located for anyone visiting Lion Rock or the surrounding area. Dhanushka's hospitality truly made our trip special.
