Totally worth it! Just the view alone from this balcony is worth the price! Yuliia was responsive and the place was great, centric to everything and great decoration. I don't think I could have this amazing view in any of the other hotels or airbnb, definitely coming back!

Loved the place. The owners did a terrific job with decorating. It had a modern and rustic style. The books and record collection were quite a treat and we enjoyed listening to music old and stuff. Great value for the price and close to many hiking trails in the area. I would definitely stay here again.

Deer's Head Inn has that Hallmark feeling. Being in a tiny town and at the main attraction for NYE is so much fun. This year we had room service and it didn't disappoint. Thanks for a great stay!!

What a gem! We had an incredible stay and felt right at home for the holidays! It was spacious and had all the amenities, plus the charm and character of the old inn. The location was perfect, both for landscape views and day trip travel. We took full advantage of the connector trail to the state park. We hope to visit again!

Wonderful place right on mirror lake. Will definitely stay there in the future and recommend to friends. Location was perfect, everything within walking distance. Accommodations were great, spacious, and clean. Can’t wait to come back to Lake Placid and stay here again! One note is that the Lake Placid parking ticket crew is definitely out in force. I get one every year! 🥴 Be sure to follow parking instructions if you pay for parking. Even a ten minute lapse and you will find some paper on your windshield.

Truly beautiful location and home. The bunk beds were free from squeaks, bathroom was nice, and the main house was welcoming. There were many options for breakfast and the hosts were very kind. Everything as advertised.

The room was clean and worked perfect for our 2 night stay. Room was plenty spacious for 2 people. The kitchenette was great equipped with fridge, microwave, toaster, and Keurig coffee maker. Coffee and snacks also provided. Conveniently located off of I-87 and only 4 miles from the Schroon Public Beach. I highly recommend staying here. We hope to stay again soon.

The Whiteface Suite is beautiful, spacious and private. If you’re a couple or a few friends, spend the extra money to stay here! It has a clean kitchen loaded with amenities and a huge TV with numerous things to watch. The host was very responsive and flexible. There is a self serve office with towels, soap, shampoo and it even has a little gift shop with free directories and cute mugs that can be billed to your room! It was the perfect stay for my guest and I, it felt like home. It has a peaceful water front. Loaded with canoes, kayaks and life vest if you want to get out on the lake. It’s so close to main street and walking is a fun way to explore the town . I would 100% recommend staying in this suite! Or at the placid bay hotel in general.

would absolutely stay again

The home was in a perfect location! Close to all the main attractions of Saranac lake. We got to explore the other towns as well, all with in a 15-20 min drive! Parking was a breeze, the place was very clean and check in was easy. The fireplace and pool table was such a fun time after getting in from the cold. We would definitely choose to stay at Rebecca’s again!

We had a great time dropping in for my sisters wedding, obviously a fantastic but stressful time!. Upon getting in we were warmly greeted and taken to our rooms. They were quiet and peaceful, heads up for people that usually watch tv upon getting in there was none! But that was actually a good benefit as it let us relax and enjoy the scenery. Sadly, we did run into one issue, with the shower head not having appropriate pressure or some type of blockage. Granted, we spoke to Rick and he immediately explained the issue clearly and concisely and encouraged us to check back if it wasn’t resolved, which was kind. The issue persisted but the tub did work so we had something. That is all to say, I would still gladly recommend this property. The benefits outweighed the singular drawback and the assistance and explanation showed knowledge and care. Looking forward to another trip one day!

We had a great short stay! It was so easy to explore the town from this location and the space was beautifully kept!

NewVida preserve was such a cozy and relaxing place to stay while visiting and hiking in the Lake Placid region! It’s a short 25 minute drive into the heart of LP and only a few short minutes from Whiteface. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the views, and variety of activities available including the ping pong & pool tables, board games, and coffee/tea bar. We stayed on a Monday night so it was quiet and it felt like having a whole cabin to ourselves. The other guests we crossed paths with were friendly! We can’t wait to come back, hopefully in the summer and on a weekend in order to take advantage of the beautiful outside spaces and have an opportunity to enjoy the bar & restaurant.

The efficiency was perfect for two people. Everything was as described and comfortable… and to ski Whiteface and enjoy town the location and parking were perfect! Thanks for a wonderful stay- see you again next year!
