This was our third visit to Kathie's place. It's a little slice of heaven for us! The beautiful sunset view from the lanai can't be beat nor the crashing waves on the seawall in front of the pool. Be sure to bring your binoculars to view dolphins and whales, a variety of boats and parasailers from the lanai. The unit is beautifully appointed with lovely artwork and furnishings. The bed is very comfortable and having A/C and ceiling fans were greatly appreciated after a long day at the beach. Kathie is a 5-star host who is very attentive and prompt to respond. We will definitely be back on our next visit to the Big Island. Mahalo to Kathie and her team.

Kathy's place was well located - just on the outskirts so you can have quiet and not far from fun. The condo itself met all of our needs. Kathy didn't leave any details out, which makes it feel like home. We'd love to stay there again soon!

The condo had everything we needed and looked just like the photos. The beach gear was a fantastic touch, making our beach days effortless and fun. The fully stocked kitchen was nice—we loved being able to buy fresh fruit and prepare it at home. The bed was comfortable, and while there’s no AC in the bedroom, the fan kept the space comfortable. The location was conveniently located - only a 2-minute drive to the closes white sand beach and 15-20 minutes to Costco and Walmart. The street outside can be a bit loud from the passing cars, so the lanai wasn’t the quietest spot to relax, but it wasn’t an issue inside, and we slept well. Check-in and checkout were seamless, with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. Tom was an excellent host—he was proactive and highly responsive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Overall, a well-equipped and conveniently located stay that made our trip enjoyable!

we loved our stay, Matt and Rose's place was the perfect getaway for our 'Baby-moon'. the space is so peaceful and so much more beautiful than the pictures let on. we loved it here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. we would stay again in a heartbeat. thanks so much Matt and Rose!

We had a lovely and cozy stay! The place was just what I needed—comfortable, clean, and peaceful. Rocco and Yoko were amazing hosts—so friendly, welcoming, and easy to communicate with.

Spacious and well stocked Airbnb. Really nice touches with a few snacks and drinks provided and plenty of towels and kitchen amenities. The place is a bit dated but clean and the main bed was very comfortable. The pullout sofa in the living room is extremely uncomfortable if you’re planning to have anyone sleep there. I didn’t reach out to the host about it so maybe they could have provided a foam topper or something else for it. If you’re looking to have anyone sleep adults sleep out there I would check with the host to see if they can provide something to make it more comfortable since it was harder than a futon to sleep on. Overall good value for the price and convenient location.

We had an amazing stay! The apartment was so spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. We loved watching the horses from the lanai and having Buddy the dog greet us everyday when we arrived back. We felt like we had the best spot on the island to watch the sunset. The sounds of the coqui frogs at sunset was absolutely amazing and so relaxing to fall asleep to. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped for self catering and it was really helpful having some things in the cupboards like spices, oil, syrup, etc. We were so sorry when it was time for us to leave!

Absolutely loved staying at Bailey’s place in Puako. It was so tranquil and gorgeous with the sound of the ocean at night and the amazing birds in the morning. The unit was very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. We were 3 people - our teenage son slept on the pull out couch in the living room - you do have to walk through the bedroom to access the bathroom. This was fine for us. I loved the screen porch!! Bailey left so much info that helped us and was responsive to any request. We would happily come back here again.

The home was well appointed. It was large, comfortable and the views were just amazing. Dvid was a great host and easily available for question. Overall a great stay.

Minh’s place is a treasure! The location looking over the ocean is breathtaking. We had the best sleep in months with the doors open and hearing the waves. Whales swam by a few times and walking to the beach was good exercise. I plan to return.

The place was beautiful and well-appointed. The pool and hot tub were amazing. Jodi was an incredible host. We had a wonderful vacation and would love to come back!

We had the dream family trip of a lifetime. The kids loved the pool—morning, noon and evening except when we went off on adventures. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance of a rocky beach. The house was roomy and well stocked with two large, long dining tables, one indoors and the other on an enclosed porch outdoors. Perfect for family dining. Joe and Anna were lovely hosts, pleasant and informative. We’d definitely recommend this home to anyone.

This is our second stay at the Magic Shack. We came back because our first stay was awesome. Our second stay was even better. There were updates to the unit (new screen doors), the addition of a new nice sofa bed, and chargers on each bedside table. The kitchen is well stocked and we were actually able to cook and have breakfast and dinners every night. The location is convenient, next to Alii drive. 10/10, would stay here again for our next Big Island vacation!

We will rent this home again if we are back to the Big Island! We really enjoyed the different spaces. The interior was open concept and a great gathering space. The lanai porch was peaceful and very pleasant mornings and evenings. The outdoor shower and hot tub was a great space for small groups to gather.

Absolutely stunning home…great location and furnished with pretty much anything you could ever need. Between the hammock, ping pong table, tree house, and beach toys, it’s hard to imagine that any place could possibly be more kid-friendly. Hosts were responsive and extremely accommodating. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent it again, and highly recommend this property.

We loved our stay at Mary’s place! Although it was a little more remote than expected, we appreciated the access to the different beautiful beaches in the neighborhood. The snorkeling at Manini Beach was spectacular! Because we had our 8 month old granddaughter with us, we also spent a lot of time in the beautiful pool. The “glamping” aspect of our stay was fun and we enjoyed the sounds of nature, particularly our rooster alarm at the crack of dawn which certainly helped us get our days started. We would highly recommend Mary’s place and wouldn’t hesitate staying again when on the island.

We had a wonderful stay at the Condo- The space was updated and ideal for the 2 of us. Comfortable furnishings, bed, and AC. The Lanai is right on the ocean facing west, amazing sunsets, waves and the rocks that tumble into the ocean are full of beautiful yellow tang fish. We even saw a full whale breach! Wendy provides all you need, Snorkle gear, boogie boards (great boogie board beach next door), lawn chairs, cooler and clubs for golfing. Kitchen is well stocked even with food containers and baggies, etc. no need to buy coffee filters, it’s a basket. She even starts you off with some Carmel roasted coffee if you’d like. The pool is lovely, there are grills for you to use. You can walk right into town with all the restaurants and shops. Wendy will give you ideas for where to Snorkle, eat, and tours. She’s extremely responsive and a delight! It was our 1st time on the Big Island and we hope to return!

Thank you for hosting us in your beautiful home on the ocean! We enjoyed watching the surfers and sunset daily from the lanai or floor to ceiling windows, the sound of the ocean waves so rhythmic and calming. The condo is quiet, the pool and hot tub are great after a day of exploring. The kitchen was decently stocked to prepare daily meals and the condo was clean and well taken care of. The location was excellent, close to town/restaurants in one direction and beaches for snorkeling and picnicking in the other direction. Jennifer had snorkeling equipment, boogie boards and picnic coolers available for our use. We also had a designated, covered parking spot with secure, but easy access to condo. A wonderful stay! I hope our family can return again one day!

The attention to detail in this updated condo is apparent. It is appointed with guests in mind--USB charging stations, water play equipment, well stocked kitchen, cooler, containers and ice for picnics... The waterfront location was great even though this isn't an ocean-facing unit, it is in a location that other occupants aren't walking by the front door, which is nice. Although we didn't use the pool, it was a nice little feature and appeared very well-maintained. We used the AC both for cooling the bedroom and to blur the traffic noise from the busy street below. It did the trick for both!

Great condo away from tourist area but not far from restaurants and grocery stores. I like being in small building instead of big resort. Well stocked kitchen and furnishings up to date. Clean and quiet. Real hot tub with jets was nice after being out on excursions all day! Kristina was very responsive and helpful. The coffee grinder broke and she had on sent to me within an hour! I would definitely stay here again if I return to the big island again!

This was our 2nd stay here and we have already booked a return trip! The condo is clean, comfortable and so well stocked for inside and outside play! This location is fantastic! Snorkeling across the street is a treat! Fish counts and varieties were plentiful, and we saw turtles and octopus!! This trip we discovered Magic’s Beach Grill 1 mile away, enjoyed the walk to dinner and a view of the waves and turtles with a very good dinner!

What a great find!!! Marco’s condo is everything as advertised & more! Beautiful view, quiet, clean, great new appliances. Location is easily walkable to all of Ali’i Drive. We ate breakfast on the lanai every morning, watching the paddlers, parasailers, and surfers. Complex has a fantastic pool & hot tub that are immaculately maintained. We miss it already!

This was a great place to stay! The location is good, and the space and layout are quite nice. My only compliant would be that the A/C unit in the living room wasn’t quite strong enough to cool the upstairs bedroom, but they do have fans to help with that. I would definitely recommend.
