At the northern end, Prudhoe bay, almost the only option. A very friendly host tried to help us out when we were in trouble with the car problem. Just fix the wifi, please.

I had to cancel due to a blizzard. CP refunded much of the trip and send follow-up emails letting me know how the weather was in Utqiagvik. That helped me make some important decisions about my work trip and let me reschedule some things faster than I would have. It was very much appreciated.

While I did not meet CP personally, Jack the host and his wife were exceptionally polite, accommodating and helpful. They helped me to make arrangements for a guided tour around town which was very helpful as the weather was so severe. The room itself was quite beautiful and spacious. I was pleasantly surprised at the large room and bath and also the very comfortable bed and furniture. I had a great window for viewing the area immediately around me. The common area downstairs was warm and cozy with a fireplace and beautiful Inupiat craft work. Just stunning! I would give this place more than 5 starts, if I could. I plan to make another trip to Barrow within the year and I hope I can get accommodations here again when I do. :)

Arlene's place was awesome, it was very nice and spacious and we felt right at home!

Barrow is a great place to visit - it is unlike any place we've ever visited. Latitude 71 is a great place to stay! Myron was a wealth of knowledge and we enjoyed learning more about life in the Arctic. The Heritage Center has an incredible whaling exhibit - definitely worth checking out. Everything was exactly as advertised by Susan and Myron; we will stay again if we return to Barrow!

Had a fantastic stay at Susan's house. The house is quite warm and spacious and is only a 5 minute walk to the Cultural Center and Museum as well as supermarket. The house has multiple rooms that you can explore (if no one else is sleeping in them of course) and features many intriguing Alaskan displays including sculptures, dolls, and pictures not to mention a giant polar bear hanging from the rails. I'm so glad I opted to stay here versus the Top of the World Hotel as Susan might be the only one in town who actually offers an in-depth private tour (at extra cost) that includes areas that most tourist could never see or reach, including wildlife, a scientific research station - all in an awesome jacked-up truck! She even let me use her binoculars to try and spot polar bears! So if you're sort of on the fence about booking or not, definitely do it!

I would highly recommend staying at Latitude over the other options in town. The accommodations are cozy and comfortable. It’s the best breakfast in Barrow.
