North Uist : locations de vacances avec cheminée

This stay was the highlight of our trip. It is a quick drive to town and close to most things you will probably be doing in Skye. The upstairs can get warm, but nothing an open window did not fix. We loved this stay and hope to return.

What an amazing place! This was perfect for us and our two young children. After a day of travel, the hot tub was a welcomed way to relax. The kids loved it too; something they were looking forward to after sight seeing. The second night we experienced a typical Scottish weather day, especially windy and wet, so the fireplace was in high demand. And the views just breathtaking. Although we didn’t have time to utilize, it was a surprise to have both washer and dryer available on site. Everything you need to enjoy your remote getaway. Highly recommend!

We loved the peace and quiet. Family of 4 with 12 & 11 year old kids - the no TV was perfect. Playing cards, Chess and lovely fireplace was tonic for the family souls. Every little detail was thought of and everything had its place. In a busy world the screen detox and family time was perfect alongside some lovely walks and places to visit. Thank you Graham. We will be back. 👍

It is a wonderful place to unwind and just stare out of the big window in front of a little fire after a good hiking day. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious what made cooking joyful. I loved it and hope to return one day.

The only thing that I would rate higher than this cottage was the beautiful view and sunsets we enjoyed (these were truly spectacular!). The Byre was just right - cozy, both secluded and close to the great spots nearby such as the Glendale market/post office, Skye Weavers, and 3 Chimneys. Clear instructions and responsive communication were appreciated too. I would definitely recommend this special place to a friend and I would love to come back someday soon!

What a magical place! We absolutely loved our stay here and already dream of coming back. The inside is soooo beautiful and comfortable that we didn’t mind staying in on rainy days. We could never get sick of watching the sheep roaming the hillsides or the ever changing coast from the fabulous sunroom. The only downside is we were unaware of the time involved to bring the wood-fired hot tub up to temp. It takes an hour to fill with water and “up to 3.5 hours to heat in the winter”. Since we can’t leave the fire unattended, we weren’t able to enjoy it until our third night since we arrived home so late on the previous nights. It is also very hard to find in the dark and the pin led us to the wrong spot. Google Mapsing the house name took us to the right spot, but we arrived in the dark and were unable to see the sign to the bottom right of the gate. Everything else was completely perfect and we highly recommend staying in this lovely place.

The cottage was just as described. It gives real sense of peaceful ambience, relaxing, and cosy feeling at the same time. The facility was nice with just about everything you need for a peaceful vacation. It's not very far from interesting attractions surrounding the area as well. The hosts, Jordan and Stephanie were very attentive and responsive to everything we needed. We're coming back to visit Skye, Carbost, and this very cottage for sure.

What a beautiful Cottage! I can’t say enough good things about it. Lovely sunsets from the cottage. Everything was just as described. The stay was super comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. Ample space for car park as well and it was super private and peaceful with sheep grazing right outside the cottage. Graeme was a superb host! Communication was great and very quick and helpful. Would highly recommend the cottage :)

Après une journée dans un nature "hostile" (l'écosse début mars), le logement se doit d'être confortable et bien équipé, deux caractéristiques évidentes de la maison proposée par Juliet (literie de qualité / cuisine fonctionnelle et complète / cheminée et espaces détente accueillants / 2 SDB). La maison est bien située, à 30-40 minutes des randonnées / visites incontournables de l'ile, et au calme absolu. Je recommanderais cette location à des amis qui souhaitent visiter Skye sans aucune hésitation, et, ma femme et moi attendons avec impatience d'y retourner.
