Was a beautiful place to stay for the weekend. Definitely worth the visit!

This was better than our expectations. Everything was so clean. The hot tub was so relaxing while enjoying a great view. They provided so many options on things to do. However the only drawback was not having a way to dry towels and bathing suits. Because of weather we could not dry outside. Would definitely stay here again.

The place was far bigger than it looks and beautifully maintained. A lovely location, even in winter. The lodge also has GREAT coffee, hot chocolate, and hearty snacks. Parking can be tricky if you're bringing more than 2 medium-sized cars. There is additional parking at the main lodge, but requires 2 cars driving there to bring people back to your condo. (Not a problem; just worth planning for in advance.) We will definitely return!

WOW ! Deer Run Lodge, what a Gem! The Hosts; Miriam & Kenneth really thought of everything when creating this space! The kitchen is stocked with just about anything you could possibly need. Everything was EXCEPTIONALLY clean and well kept. A perfect mix of cozy to modern- you’ll feel right at home the moment you walk in the door! I wish I took a few minutes at arrival to check out the House rules booklet. Even Though the hosts were incredibly responsive, there is an explanation or “how to” QR code for just about everything right at your fingertips! The exterior of the home is equally equipped and well kept! The HotTub was set up and ready for use upon arrival! Whether your visiting Deer Run Lodge in the winter, spring or summer this property has just about anything you’ll want or need to enjoy your stay!! Thank you Miriam & Kenneth for helping me make my daughter’s birthday one she’ll never forget!

I travelled to Utica for an extended work trip and stayed 7 weeks at Tricia's cabin. I had a great time and was very satisfied with everything. I especially liked the kitchen which is very spacious and perfectly equipped. It is a quiet place in a beautiful location, right next to Starved Rock state park. Tricia is a great host and communicated clearly. I would return anytime and wholeheartedly recommend her place to everyone

This place was just wonderful, all the amenities of being at home. Nice and peaceful place to stay in Utica, IL.

Jasons place was absolutely wonderful and had everything you could possibly need. We loved that there was a bunch of board games and ple ty of room for all 8 of us who stayed there. We will definitely be staying again. Our only complaint which was not jasons fault is you can not use the Waterpark on the weekends since its not directly booked with grand bear. You can only use it during the week day due to a change in ownership at the waterpark and they have raised their prices. It wasn't even worth the money to go on a week day

This beautiful sanctuary in the woods is the perfect relaxing getaway. The hosts are responsive and very helpful. The home is pristine and there are thoughtful and convenient touches throughout. I’ve stayed at many rentals and this home is my favorite.

This was a perfect place for a quick getaway before the holiday craziness starts at work. Cute place, clean, great location and peaceful atmosphere. Quick drive to town. Parking was easy at the location. Really was happy that it’s pet friendly, my dog Jordan loved walking around the property. The decoration for Christmas is super cute. In all this place has become one of my favorite places for a little quick getaway. Definitely going back!

This place was great. There isn’t much around here to do, especially in the winter, but we were looking to mostly disconnect from the outside world for a week and this was great for that. Aside from laundry there is really is everything you need to live here full time including a fully stocked kitchen with various helpful appliances like a crock pot and toaster stashed away but accessible. Perfect for a few days or a full week! It was a little dusty in some spots but otherwise clean and well kept. Had a great time. Hoping to come back when the weather is warmer and take advantage of the lake!

These tiny homes are wonderful. Thoughtfully designed and stocked; they really thought of everything for a comfortable camping stay. The area is peaceful and quiet and clean. Ottawa is a short drive away; lots of great coffee shops, restaurants and bakeries. Multiple hiking trails nearby. I loved staying here, and I was able to use my hotspot to work in the quiet as well. No problems taking video calls.

2024 was a challenging year so my partner and I decided to take our dog and disconnect from the city and surroundings on New Year’s Eve. Samuel was more than proactive in giving concise direction on location, access, and alternative options if the clay grounds were too soaked to drive on. The space was beautifully maintained and it had me looking into regenerative farming. Although the stay was quite brief, I would be more than glad to come visit the space and check out the farmstead if ever feasible. Thank you to the hands who prepared the space and gave us an outlet to bring in the New Year amongst a different setting.
