What a beautiful place to stay. Close to lovely walks for the dogs. Fantastic scenery too. Hot tub was ready to go when we arrived. Rooms were perfect, we couldn’t ask for more really.

Brilliant place for a chilled getaway for the night. Loved the hot tub and meeting all the animals. Would definitely recommend to others. Lynden was also a great host who was very helpful and made sure we had the best time!

I had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth, including a delicious home-baked cake that made us feel instantly at home. The cottage itself is stunning, blending cozy charm with lovely decor and thoughtful touches throughout. The views are absolutely breathtaking—perfect for unwinding and taking in the scenery. The hot tub was an added luxury, allowing us to relax under the stars. Every aspect of our stay was exceptional, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a personal touch.

Loved our stay on the farm. The accomodation is amazing, spacious & homely. The setting is unreal, gorgeous fields, hot tubs, couldn’t ask for more. We used Heidi from mums motors to get a taxi into Alton in the evening to go to the bulls head (recommend going there) and she was fabulous too, definetly recommend using her if you need to get around. Thanks so much for having us!

We absolutely loved our mini get away. It's just what we needed... beautiful, peaceful, and that hot tub was divine! We weren't sure about staying in the yurt over winter, but we were wrong. It was cold getting out of the hot tub and running to the loo, which was on the opposite side of the ground, so take a decent dressing gown! Also, don't do what we did and use all your logs in the evening leaving none for the morning! It's nice and toasty when the log burning is going, but it soon drops when you don't. Sarah was a brilliant host, she came right out as we pulled into the car park and showed us around. All in all, we would thoroughly recommend.

The barns are absolutely stunning with lovely views, and it's such a wonderful space for friends to gather. We had an amazing weekend, and the final touches added were perfect. Highly recommended.

A few friends and I visit this place twice a year to hangout and play some games on the enormous dining table. We've done this for a few years now and wouldn't look anywhere else. Everything is always really clean and tidy, the area is absolutely stunning and quiet and Paul is always great. Can't fault it.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful setting, with great amenities for a small village. Ideal for our walking holiday with our dog in the Peaks. The owners responded well and quickly to all out enquiries. Even the staff in the tearoom next door were keen to help; we will definitely be returning, and can recommend the walnut & stilton scones there!

This was our second stay at Swallow Cottage and it was every bit as lovely as we remembered. The cottage is finished to a high standard and has clearly been lovingly maintained. It was warm and cosy even when there was ice and freezing fog outside. The property provides flexible, comfortable accomodation for a friends or family get together, all the facilities you could imagine needing, and an outside space that is safe and secure for dogs and tots alike. Our thanks to Claire and her family for being such great hosts.

This property was perfect for our family get together for a special birthday. the property was spotlessly clean, there was an abundance of glasses , crockery etc, and everything we needed for our stay. the property was warm and comfortable, with lots of hot water. the dining room and lounge were large enough to accommodate us all comfortably so perfect for our get together. we really did all have a perfect stay.

We stayed in the main farm house in a group of 6. The house was beautiful, spacious and comfortable in every room. The garden was large with a hot tub, outdoor seating and sand pit for the kids. Loved the fact you can feed the goats, there was a full guide to recommended places nearby for days out and places to see or visit. The host was really lovely and available to help whenever we needed. We would definitely love to come back here and see more of the surrounding areas and especially chatsworth house and gardens. Highly recommend for anyone wishing to have a chilled, peaceful holiday and for people wanting to get out and see the beautiful local towns, history and days out with the kids. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Great accommodation with good facilities. Surrounded by plenty of walks starting from straight outside the accommodation. Would recommend!

We spent a lovely 3 nights here with our 2 children (8 & 4) and our dog. The apartment was perfect, had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy & the whole place had a really homely feel to it. The hot tub was great, we also booked the pool on 2 of the days which was really easy and the kids loved having it to ourselves. We used the games room which had some really good equipment in it. The location was a few mins drive into Bakewell. Overall a great family friendly place to stay which we all loved and would happily stay at again.

My friends and I had an amazing weekend here. We were celebrating our friends birthday and they kindly put up a banner and there was a cake as well which was such a kind gesture and really appreciated! The location is beautiful and if you get the chance the spa on site is well priced and very good!

This was a return visit for our family pre Christmas get together. Communication with Sharon before and during our visit was excellent. The property has changed from 2 years ago with an additional “snug” lounge and different layout for one bedroom and kitchen but the standard remains the same very high level and the overall space is very comfortable for our group of 11 (8 adults and 3 children). Remains on our “to return to” list. Highly recommended.

Lovely holiday apartment in a historic building with brilliant views of the Derbyshire countryside. The private pool access was a real bonus!

Quirky little place. Clean, kitchen has everything you need to make a few small meals. Great view from the hot tub. Good location. And very tasty cake left for our arrival.
