We had a wonderful 3 days with our two children. The cottage was very comfortable and everything was an experience. Beautiful artwork, amazing bathroom and our own outdoor space. We would highly recommend and we look forward to going back!

3 Railway Cottage is a fantastic base to explore the amazing beauty of North Yorkshire. The cottage is located a 20 minute walk from the centre of Pickering but is in a really quiet and private location. The only exception of course is the opportunity to wave at the heritage railway trains that pass at the back of the cottage a few times a day which is really amazing, especially if you wave from the comfort of the hot tub! I can’t recommend this location highly enough, it is a really comfortable and well equipped cottage in a fantastic location - what more could you ask for?

An absolute gem! We’re a bit fussy, but can honestly say this place was our favourite Airbnb ever. Charming village and surrounds and the cottage was exceptional. The little luxe touches (nice Champagne, for one thing) rounded out the perfection.

We had a lovely stay at this property, it was remote and quiet which was perfect for a couples overnight getaway. The hot tub was the highlight and we loved how there was lights and curtains so you could stay in after dark and also have some privacy. Everywhere was clean and tidy and there was every utensil available to make dinner in the evening, tea coffee milk and biscuits were also a lovely touch, we would definitely recommend! Thank you so much ❤️

We had a lovely time at L’aal Cottage. Great use of the space, everything of high standard and fully equipped for an enjoyable stay. Jan was friendly and made us very welcome. Great spot for exploring the Yorkshire coast and a great walk along the beach to Filey.

Me and my husband visited as a family with our 8 year old daughter and two tiny chihuahuas. Our dogs can be a bit happy which was absolutely my motivation for picking this location, secluded quiet and most importantly the courtyard area with the hot tub was entirely secure. Meaning we could relax in the hot tub without worrying about any unexpected puppy escapes. The place itself was beautiful inside , the only bathroom is in the main bedroom but in a family setting this is absolutely no issue. It was the perfect setting for cooking, playing board games and watching movies. We were able to walk the dogs, spend time as a family and all had a comfortable uninterrupted nights sleep. I can see us returning for sure!

We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

we had a fantastic stay here. the cottage is beautiful, the garden with pod is perfect to enjoy the local scenery. it was the best sleep I've had in months, so quiet! John was always on hand if neded and very friendly & helpful. we felt very welcome. the cottage has everything you need and more!! I especially loved the history of the house and the way if was decorated/accessorised. my daughter absolutely loved it!! she is 10 and was very sad to leave. I'm certain we will return! the pub up the road was amazing...a lovely walk for tea! food was delicious and very good value. I would highly recommend this cottage and can't wait to come back. thank you John for being a wonderful host and letting us share in the history of this magnificent building.

Lovely cottage in ideal location with walking distance to the beach. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Kitchen was very well equipped. Extremely comfortable bed so that was a bonus. Nick is a great host and responds quickly. I will definitely be back when I'm next on the area.

A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Fizz, fresh bread and homemade jam to greet us. Lovely warm and surprisingly large cottage with a gorgeous view of the ford. Great walks straight from the door with wildlife aplenty (sadly no red squirrels but our host did point us to a hotel where we managed to see them). All in all, a cracking place to stay.

Wonderful cottage. Very well equipped kitchen. Beds were very comfortable especially the double room. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. Extra touches such as tea and biscuits was a nice surprise. The location is right in the heart of Staithes with everything you would need within a 5 minute walk. We parked easily at bank top car park and walked to the cottage. Only suggestion would be the smaller sofa (non leather) isn’t very comfortable.

Fantastic few days away, gargrave is lovely. Good walks from the door, close to Malham. Great pub food, fish and chips shop and co-op nice cafe. Very friendly. Hose immaculate with riverside view.

We enjoyed a a short, peaceful and enjoyable stay. The cottage offered everything we expected and the view from the patio was outstanding.

We had a lovely 3 night stay here. The cottage was clean and cosy. It was a very short walk to the local shops, restaurants and pubs, and it was the perfect location from which to explore the surrounding Yorkshire countryside. Finding parking was no problem. Rachael was a great host, and the cottage had everything we needed. We would highly recommend staying here.

We had a really lovely stay at Curlew Cottage for my husbands 40th birthday weekend. It was a great base to explore the surrounding area as we are into our walks. The house itself was beautifully presented, spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. The setting was very peaceful with beautiful views all around. We spotted lots of wildlife which was lovely. We would highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

Simon communicated well with us and made sure we settled in. Nice location for our stay and perfect for the two of us and child who loved seeing the chickens on the farm.

Rach was a great host and the space was just what we needed. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely place to stay.

We arrived early and Marc allowed us to self check in early, which was very much appreciated after our long early morning journey. The check in was easy with the door unlocked and key on the side. The place is very comfortable, exceptionally clean and spotless with everything provided and needed to enjoy our short break away. Pickering town centre is a 7/10 minute walk away. There are plenty of places to eat and close to the steam train to Whitby. I highly recommend the Chinese restaurant opposite the train station. The biscuits/coffee/teabags/sugar/bread/butter/jam/marmalade packs that Marc left for us were all very much appreciated and a nice touch. There was also a pack of ice in the freezer. The cottage is very private and quiet with a lovely little garden to sit in. We highly recommend Marc’s place as a great place to stay in a great location.

We loved our stay at The Vault! It was cosy, clean, and had everything we needed. Fantastic location too being only a 10 minute walk in to the centre of town. Alex was very responsive too if I had any questions! Would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Hexham/the surrounding areas :)

Joan was an excellent host, and we had a delightful stay! The cottage is well-placed for exploring the Lake District. We loved coming back to a cozy cottage with a nice fire, which Joan kindly lit for us. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We have just got home from a lovely couple of days at Deb & Tim’s cosy hideaway. What a lovely place - the space so well thought out and everything was provided that we needed for a gorgeous weekend in a great part of the world. Our hosts made every effort to make us feel welcome whilst giving us our space and the little extra touches were appreciated. Thanks so much!!
