We are sad that it was just a night stay but each moment we stayed there was fun. The staff entertained us with music and dance; they even sang a song in my mother tongue, malayalam. The eco-friendly hut had heated bed, colorful curtains, & clean bathrooms. The food was yummy; I even got to taste the local liquids Thongba. What I loved most was they are dog-friendly 💚. The Lab loved us so much so that she chose us to stay with 💜 I will definitely come again with family to stay for long.

Sangay and Karma are great hosts. They take only one group at a time so we (me nd my partner) had the place to ourselves. You can requests the hosts for meal (for a very nominal price) incase you cant head out. The place looks exactly like in pictures and you will have a cozy feeling. The studio has a good vibe. Books to read and art of other students can be seen and enjoyed. Pets on the property are a great bonus.

@aucksfarm is A farm stay in a remote village called Soreng near Darjeeling run by siblings fulfilling their father’s wish - Sushmita and Ashish. The location oversees the misty mountains of Sikkim and the Kalimpong city. The rooms are spacious, clean, well equipped with all basic requirement and decorated with an artistic touch. It has the feel of a resort but in a remote location. This place has something to offer for every soul, be it a library full of books, a gazebo for star gazing and the romantic night with your loved one, a trail amidst forests, a walk to Takling monastery, the oldest Tamang gompa. The property has been designed with a lot of creativity- You will find small lights on trees, a pond with some fish, lots of flowers and a variety of planted trees. My review of @aucksfarm would be incomplete without raving about the home cooked food offered by Sushmita. I was just amazed at how she would cook up an entire delicacy with the farm grown veggies and with such little help. In a stay of two nights, she offered us a variety of cuisines from Nepali , to Gujarati to Chinese with both veg and non veg options taking care of our likes and dislikes. How she manages this feat with such little help is a wonder ! The scenic beauty, Food and the warmth offered by the hosts only want you to leave this place with a promise to return and a high recommendation.
