I choose this place specifically because of my internship at Grameen Bank and the positive ratings. What I can tell other people who have never visited Bangladesh is, Trust the process if you're still unsure about these accommodations. I was first uncertain about what to pack and how much preparation I should have. Before I made this reservation, we had developed excellent communication and had spoken on the phone and via messenger for more than a month. I had problems with the sim card when I first got to Bangladesh, but Roman was kind enough to let me use his phone and willing to solve the problem with me. I lived in three different countries while growing up and have traveled frequently, and when I visit a new country, it’s significant to have a guardian as much as a comfortable home to stay in who is knowledgeable about local regions and cultures. Since I don't speak Bengali, his stepdaughters often accompany me whenever I go out. I got to know his daughter well and loved every second of our conversations. He helped me drop me off at the Grameen bank office on the first day and spoke to my supervisor. Roman’s wife, Shilpi cooks the best Khichuri and Chicken Polao. I still didn’t give up on convincing her to open her restaurant or publish her recipe books. We decided to have lunch together every day because I absolutely love her cooking. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and the family and friends I met in this country. I did not imagine this level of hospitality and kindness before arriving. I would be happy to speak with anyone who is reading this and is still unsure about this accommodation to clear up any concerns. Again, I want to thank Roman for his dedication and effort to make my stay the best it could be.

Reading the listing and other reviews, I somehow imagined a makeshift fenced-off spot in a public parking lot. But in reality, it's a fully private room in a house with its own separate entrance, which is incredibly convenient - you can come and go without disturbing the hosts. The room itself has a comfortable bed, a desk, a fridge, air conditioning, a private bathroom, and toilet - truly cozy and quite private. The location is simply perfect - I can't imagine a better place to stay in Dhaka. It's right in the heart of the Old Town, with all the character and charm of the area just outside your door. The host, Imran, definitely deserves a special mention - he’s incredibly welcoming and easy to talk to. In many ways, it was thanks to him that I felt so at home here. Honestly, when I first saw this listing, I already had a good feeling about it. But after spending a week here, I can truly say the experience far exceeded my expectations.

Room is clean. Location is good . Host is nice

It was such a lovely stay here. Madhumita aunty and her husband are such lovely host. We had some great conversation during breakfast. The overall house design and decoration were treat to eyes. Location was lovely. I would love to visit this place again and definitely recommend this to everyone.

I was there for 7N. The loft was really amazing. It was clean and well maintained, the service also was on point. Sudeep was kind enough to let us extend our stay, we had a late check-out as well. I really loved the stay here it felt homely. It is closer to the tourists spots as well but in a quiet locality, the view from the apartment is amazing and would book it again when I'm in Sikkim again. Overall I'd rate it a 10/10 and would definitely recommend this stay!

We had an amazing stay at Mr. Iqbal’s house! Both Mr. Iqbal and his wife are incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful hosts who truly go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home. Their warmth and hospitality made our stay unforgettable. The house is spotlessly clean, cozy, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. On top of that, the location is fantastic, convenient and close to everything you might need. Staying here felt like being part of a family, thanks to Mr. Iqbal and his wife’s genuine care and thoughtfulness. I highly recommend their place to anyone looking for a great Airbnb experience. Returning to The Loft felt like coming home. The warmth of the space, the stunning mountain views, and Dolly Aunty’s thoughtful care made it special. She always checked in on us—whether we’d eaten, how we were settling in—her kindness adding to the comfort of the place. The place was squeaky clean, with quilts neatly packed and ready for us to use. From sunrise painting the sky in golden hues to the night sky sparkling with stars, every moment felt like a quiet embrace from nature. The crisp mountain air and serene atmosphere made it the perfect retreat.

We stayed here in November 2024. Both the Owner Sailik and the manager Joydeep are very helpful and friendly. They were ready to help and the apartment was very clean with good privacy. The main roads are outside the housing block and therefore it was comfortable to sleep with less noise . There is a big balcony to dry clothes etc. The balcony can be improved and made attractive with green plants and flowering pots. In the bath room, at present there is no fast flow of water on the floor, which needs to be improved. Otherwise, we enjoyed the stay very much. I will recommend this to all who like to have more than just a hotel room. GS Road is very close and one can get bus from there to any place.

if you are planning to explore Kolkata, specifically North Kolkata, this place is an absolute jewel. Close to a main intersection ( Shyambazar) very easy to get to the main attractions of art, culture, food and everything else. Soham was extremely responsive with helpful recommendations, regular check-ins, and in general a great host. I would highly recommend this place and would love to come back.
