This was an amazing experience. We were unsure about living off grid for a week, but there were no shortages of power or water and the cabin had everything we needed to make our 7 day stay comfortable and memorable. Once inside, you forget that you are inside shipping containers as the "Octopod" is very cozy and comfortable. Even with outside temperatures near 30*C, the interior was cool which was welcoming since there is no AC. We were also able to use the interior fireplace to warm things up when we had a couple of nights that were Around 10*C. Victoria was attentive and answered any question I had and even wanted to know our kids interests so she could suggest activities for them. An incredible, quiet and relaxing spot, we plan to book again.

The place was great. You do need. Lot of firewood if you want to use the hot tub and wood fire stove. The kitchen has everything you need and it was super easy to find. All the local recommendations for lunch and dinner were spot on!

This place was exactly what I was looking for. It’s in a very walkable location and I was able to find free street parking just a couple of blocks away. Inside was clean, well furnished and the amenities were thoughtful. David and Janet are friendly and responsive. Would stay here again.

11 Volleyball players had a fantastic and comfortable stay at this unique property. Was perfect for hosting a team dinner. Appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and space for dining.

Overall amazing stay! Place was exactly like the pictures and was the perfect private and quiet getaway from NYC. My three dogs absolutely loved all the space they had to play outside. Would definitely stay here again!

The place itself is beautiful — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. We truly enjoyed our time here. I’ll definitely be booking this place again for my next trip. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at contain yourself! The place had really good vibes, the hot tub was amazing, and the beds were so comfy! The place was super clean, and I appreciated the amenities they had for babies like a little high chair. It was close to the things that Deep Creek has to offer, and we had fun exploring the state park, the restaurants, and looking at the stars and lunar eclipse through the trees! It was very peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend staying here, lots of feng shui.

We had such a lovely time! Perfect for a short weekend getaway from the city. We explored Kaaterskill Falls & participated in a wonderful Airbnb knitting experience in Windham - this location was perfect for both activities. Plus there are a lot of great restaurants nearby recommended by the hosts. Home was quiet, cozy and clean.

Seeing what kind of space you can make with a shipping container was half of the fun of staying here! This space had everything we needed and more, especially a very cozy, comfy bed. Would love to return in the future!

We stayed for two nights and it was the perfect way to disconnect and unwind in nature. Bed was nice and cozy and the shower was a bonus. Jason was very responsive. Would stay again

Mais que dire de l'hôte, Dany, qui nous a accueilli dans son pub et avec qui nous avons eu la chance de partager une soirée extraordinaire. The cabin was even better than advertised! We were so excited to stay here while attending a wedding near by. The waterfront was even better than we imagined, and the entire property was so peaceful. It was quiet which is a huge plus and lots of walking paths and trails to explore. We even went and sat on the dock and night to take pictures of the stars. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back again with our son!

This was our third Thanksgiving weekend at Michael's place and our families always love our time there. The expansive property, the trails through the forest, the lake, and the cottage, are all wonderful additions to the long weekend experience. We look forward to year 4 there in 2025. I was camping in VT and our trip got cut short by a day due to rain but we didn’t wanna go home yet. We decided to stay somewhere more unique with a tiny house vibe and this place was the spot! Grateful for the late check in and check out during our stay. Donna met us in the parking lot and showed us our spot. She was very kind! They also have a wonderful property with a water front restaurant that has brunch too. Would highly recommend this place for a nice cozy evening :)

The place is beautiful, relaxing and peaceful. We were able to bring our Gracey Girl who had an amazing time with all of the smells in the secluded location. We were able to explore areas in town and Bar Harbor. Yes, it was a 45 minute ride to Bar Harbor but it didn't feel like it and to be able to come back to the beautiful home in the peace and quite was amazing. I was paranoid about the electricity, being off the grid, but there were no issues even though we had a couple of cloudy days. The wifi worked well too, both streaming TV and for the little bit of work I did while there.

I really enjoyed my stay and can't wait to come back. The home, the grounds and all the amenities were beyond lovely. Everything in this home was so well thought out. I was in awe of every detail. The kitchen was well stocked for things you would need to cook your meals. The home was fresh and clean and well taken care of. I really appreciated the guide book and Brett's sense of humor. The log book of all of the guests was really nice to see where everyone came from and what they liked most about staying there. We spent most of our time outside and enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, the hammock, the deck and the hot tub. I wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks Brett!

The place was beautiful and made for such a peaceful weekend! Lauren was so very kind before, during and after my stay! I would 100% stay again!
