Amazing Stay in Finnish Lapland The Airbnb is in a wonderfully remote location, perfect for a private and peaceful experience. Activities like snowmobiling with Pekka (the host) and a husky tour with David (Matara Creek Oy) were unforgettable and felt intimate, far from crowded tourist spots. We were also lucky enough to see the northern lights. Since the area is so remote, all you need to do is cross the road, and you’re surrounded by darkness: perfect for aurora viewing. There’s even a bird tower nearby that offers an excellent spot to watch the lights. Truly unforgettable! The house is spacious, very clean, and well-equipped with thoughtful extras like spices, towels, and even cold-weather gear. Pekka and Satu were fantastic hosts—respectful of our privacy but happy to help when needed. Don’t miss the sauna or the campfire experience after a snowmobile tour! Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic Lapland getaway.

Antti's apartment is 5 minute walk to town centre, and is spotlessly clean. The beds were really comfortable and the whole apartment was really warm even when -12 outside. There is a sauna in the bathroom, and a covered patio area. The photos don't so the apartment justice, as it felt more spacious. Antti was a brilliant host, responding straight away, and provided really clear instructions of address etc. Absolutely recommend this apartment. Thank you so much Antti and Raul- we loved our stay- and we saw the aurora twice!! Once on a trip- but also by walking across the bridge to the hill which was only 30 minute walk and we saw an aurora sub storm there! Had delicious soups and reindeer shank at the Arctic City hotel restaurant, and lovely risotto at Gustav restaurant. We hope to come back again!

Asunto on hyvällä paikalla Sotkamon keskustassa. Asunto vastasi kuvausta, oli siisti ja kotoisa. Tullaan varmasti uudelleen!!

Juhani a été un hôte très accueillant, il est venu me chercher à l’aeroport et m’a régulièrement envoyé des infos météo pour les aurores, des liens pour des activités 🤩 Juhani a répondu à toutes mes questions tout en prenant de mes nouvelles ! Le logement est à 10min du centre ville à pieds, et tout est faisable ! Le gros avantage est le calme et le joli quartier, c’était un vrai plaisir de rentrer « chez soi », au chaud et au calme en fin de journée 👍

Eetun Condo-huoneisto oli hyvällä sijainnilla, kaunis näkymä takapihalta lumisiin maisemiin ja hiihtoladut lähtivät aivan kulmilta. Sisäänkirjautuminen onnistui joustavasti ennakkoon. Viestiin vastaaminen nopeaa ja sisäänkirjautumisohjeet selkeät. Pelkkää plussaa!

Jari was particularly attentive to our requests and very invested in making sure our stay went as smoothly as possible. I highly recommend this place, which allowed us to see the northern lights for New Year's! It was an exceptional moment, and Jari made sure we didn’t miss it by almost running to our door to knock and let us know, aha! If you're hesitating, hesitate no more! :)

We had the most wonderful stay here. Jari is the most responsive and helpful host we have ever had through air b&b. He offered us local recommendations, came over and turned the sauna on more than once and chatted to us about Finland. The house was in a beautifully peaceful suburb that was super close to the city. We could easily catch an Uber anywhere we wanted - the city centre was approx 17 Euro in an uber. We had 3 adults and 2 kids and lots of space for all of us. We would absolutely love to come back.

The house was exactly as described. As soon as we had booked the hosts couldn't be more helpful- sent videos of the house with very clear instructions. They sent links to bookable activities and sent us a discount code that saved us £70 for one excursion. The house was spotless and very comfortable. There is an ice rink behind the garden and the host let us borrow their skates- this was brilliant and we had it to ourselves! We accidentally left my sobs iPad behind and the host went out of their way to bring it to us before our flight. Would stay again tomorrow.
