Peaceful location and just the right size. We enjoyed our time sitting on the porch reading, eating and just rocking in the large rocking wooden rocking chairs while chatting. We watched the ducks and geese on the lake. In the evenings, we could see the turtles stick their heads out of the water. Although there was lots to do, we only took advantage of the pools. If you are someone who wants to be doing something and planning activities to keep little ones busy, you have lots of options at the resort where this cabin is located.

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful lakeside house in Lusby! We loved relaxing in the hot tub under the stars and the house had everything we needed! We hood to come back thank you!

This is my second time staying in this cabin. It is very cozy and spacious. I love enjoying the view from the third floor. Highly recommended.

This place could not be more perfect for our trip to DC. It was the perfect distance to the metro. Our group of 8 had so much space of our own, yet plenty of room to be together in the common spaces and not be on top of each other! We went in the coldest month of the year, so unfortunately we didn’t get to experience the best of what the outdoor areas had to offer but the views were breathtaking regardless. Melanie’s place was extremely clean and everything was provided and then some! Everyone in our group would like to go back in warmer months to spend more time outside. Before we got there, Melanie explained that there was an issue with one of the sinks in the cabins and said she would credit us accordingly. I thought that was great! It did not hinder or create a problem whatsoever! I hope we get to make it back sometime!

Had a great time at the Elderberries cottage! The views were spectacular, and you could take them in from the enclosed porch, the open deck, and even the living room. The entire setup was perfect for a vacation/remote work getaway, and the kitchen has everything you need. WiFi worked great, and the smart TV supported pretty much any streaming service you'd want. Rachel was friendly and super responsive; we hope to stay there again sometime.

We piled 5 adults and a toddler into the house on Kelley Neck Drive, and it worked just fine! Bathrooms, AC, kitchen, appliances, etc, all worked perfectly, the furniture was comfortable and in good shape, and the house was spacious. The yard was perfect for us, but might have been small for older kids, and I wish there had been more than one kayak (but even one kayak was a bonus!) The heron was fishing at the mouth of the our private lagoon every morning, and an osprey and eagle visited as well. We barely heard any neighbors, and the nights were quiet and peaceful. Thank you!

Lorena was a great host from start to finish. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. We did have a dog run up to the porch barking but that is no fault of our wonderful host. We sure loved the view and peaceful atmosphere. We would absolutely return.

This was an amazing stay for our family! I had my family of 9 move to Maryland from Colorado and unfortunately, the house we were supposed to move in to fell through. We were able to use this wonderful for 2 weeks while we got on our feet and found a new place to live. John was a dream host, who helped us with local recommendations, help us understand the surrounding areas, and even went out of his to help me put air in my tires when I found a new vehicle. The cabin was cozy, and secluded, making it an incredibly peaceful place to feel at home amongst our cross country moving koas. We are very grateful for John and his welcoming demeanor! We will definitely consider another stay at this beautiful cabin!

...I didn't know what to expect, as one never does. Cheryl provides way more than any hotel in the region. I have been comfortable from the moment that I arrived. Every little discovery of the amenities is actually joyous. She is very attentive to the subtleties of hosting! The cottage views the water and the treeline...so peaceful, and the wildlife is rare and amazing, you never know what you are going to see. I will stay here again based off my first experience. Thank you Cheryl for sharing this wonderful place.

My husband and I along with our 2 dogs had great weekend stay at the Williamsburg campground. The cabin was just very clean and comfortable with all we needed for the weekend. The campground itself was wonderful with plenty of things to do, although we were there to explore Williamsburg and surrounding areas. overall a great stay and would definitely return again!!

I recently stayed at Crooked Elm and was thoroughly impressed. The place was impeccably clean, and the attention to detail was evident in every corner. The host's responsiveness was top-notch! One feature that stood out was the guest binder. It was incredibly detailed, providing clear instructions on everything from using the fireplaces to local attractions and dining recommendations. This made it easy to settle in and feel at home. It had everything we needed for a cozy stay! Overall, my stay at Crooked Elm was delightful, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, well-managed retreat.

This was one of my first trips at an air bnb and it was amazing. It was a bit dusty, but out in the woods like that it’s bound to be. The forest was beautiful, and the disconnect from my average day to day was made perfect by my experience here. From the local trails to the small pizza place nearby, this location was something special.

We had such a peaceful fun time at Pizza Friday! So close to st.Mary’s campus so it was very easy for frequent trips back and forth during our stay. Highly recommend and I hope to stay there again in the future.

We had a lovely stay and created wonderful memories with our friends and family at this beautiful log cabin. This is the perfect place if you are looking for a remote getaway that is still easy access to Richmond, which has plenty to do. Our favorite was waking up and looking at the 3 horses, taking walks down to the river, and our kids playing together in the playroom, which has all the toys a kid could ever want. The home is absolutely beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The hosts are very friendly, helpful, and responsive. We would highly recommend staying here.

Gerri's countryside cottage was just as described. I was in awe of the natural surroundings and the privacy of the cottage. I had the pool all to myself, which was very relaxing and just what I needed. If you enjoy walking, there are many areas on the estate to explore and enjoy the natural views. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind, I highly recommend Gerri's cottage. You will not be disappointed. It's an outstanding Airbnb. I would return in a heartbeat. Staying at the cabin was just what our family needed to get back to basics and enjoy life. It was a beautiful, relaxing, private and quiet retreat. We made s’mores, kayaked, walked the trails, and read books. Most importantly, we as a family enjoyed each other’s company.

I felt at home and welcomed. Attentive care for orderly, peaceful and really clean grounds I enjoyed the very nice bath house. Lots of hot water ! I hope to return for every visit to Williamsburg. It’s so close to everything too
